Their ice cream is amazing and deserves 5 stars. One of my favorites places to stop and get a cone. Their food, however, is very subpar. Fries had absolutely no salt on them and were very bland. The Chicago dog was missing some of the fixings and was not on a poppy seed bun. The burger tasted okay but the bread was soggy and fell apart while eating it because they didnt toast the bun. Come here for the ice cream and sweet treats but stay away from the food haha

Great soft served ice cream 🍦! Tried their strawberry and birthday cake flavor. This makes it pretty unique since I haven’t seen other ice cream parlors with multiple flavored soft serve ice cream. Cashier was super nice and there’s a trail right behind it to take a walk.

They do a nice job . Id like to see the bananas coated in dark chocolate.

We’ve loved this place since we moved to the neighborhood last year and have only just started exploring their menu. We love it even more now that we’re getting into biking: the bike rack, widely spaced tables and obvious proximity to the trail make it perfect for stopping for a treat at the end (or the start!) of a long ride up or down the trail.

My daughter and I rode our bikes for ice cream. Nice place to go to for dessert.

This place is awful. It’s flavors of ice cream are all liquid and color infused and they leave 30 percent of it just plain vanilla. You should only order chocolate if you do go here. They messed up my order 3 times so watch out.

Person gave me wrong flavor. Told him it was wrong flavor and he kept on insisting it was mine, despite me telling him I ordered something else. Great ice cream, but very poor customer service.

Great local drive-in. Soft serve ice cream, sundaes, shakes, floats, flurries and other frozen treats. A hot food menu rounds out the offerings. The 28 flavors of soft serve is the big draw here. You can mix and match soft serve flavors and toppings to create your own special treat. Coffee and amaretto, raspberry with dark chocolate dipped topping, blueberry with raspberry dipped topping, you name it and theyre happy to prepare it for you. Fun spot for family and friends on a summer evening or any time.

Great ice cream shop in Libertyville! It’s easily accessible from the bike path so I love stopping hear toward the end of my bike ride for a treat. They have a wide variety of options.

Great ice cream, a fun place to gather! The path behind is a nice place to walk. Weve been coming here for years and we just love all the flavors and options. Only downside is the location. It gets a little scary being so close to 176.

Our family loves this place, consider it THE ice cream place in the area. The ice cream is really good and they have a lot of options! It seems like usually the employees are high school age, I’ve only had to return something once before today, but I haven’t had such a poor customer experience as we did today. Maybe this won’t be their best summer... Ordered coffee, was given chocolate, immediately took it back through the line, to be sternly told they didn’t have coffee (it says coffee on the sign...), they have espresso or cappuccino, and we were given chocolate. I insisted myself and my spouse confirmed the one we were given is just chocolate, but I’d be fine trying cappuccino. Was just told we were given espresso and then all three employees left/moved on to the next person in line (not a long line). Just a very sad experience. But I’ll give them another try. Good luck!

Love dairy dream! Great soft serve and local business BUT no one enforces face masks or social distancing while people are in line. I understand losing the mask when eating but the families and crowds are not following the rules and the business should be enforcing their rules to keep their customers safe. I dont feel safe here unless I see few or no people in line :(.

Why get ice cream from a mega-corporation when this is here? Crowds of people will show up on nice summer days, many arriving on bicycles.One time the line was very very long but luckily it was moving remarkably fast. I got to the front and decided to order the most gluttonous thing on the menu: funnel cake sundae. The cashier raised her brow and put in the order. So now I waited.It is exactly what it sounds like. A funnel cake with a sizeable sundae on top that included hot fudge in this case.I stepped towards the window where the orders come out and my heart dropped as I read the sign: FREE CONE DAYWhen the server announced loudly enough for all to hear, Funnel cake sundae? Many heads turned and the conversations died down. I sheepishly took a step forward to claim my embarrassing yet oh-so-delicious treat.As I turned around to face the crowd a snarky boy in a Carmel High School track uniform heckled me, saying Give a speech!I speed-walked around the building as I turned beet red where I devoured the sundae before going on my way.Did I learn anything? Not really because next time its free cone day Im probably still going to order the same thing but I might ask them to quietly sneak it out the back door or something.

Best local ice cream place- I’ve been going since I was a kid and it’s always a treat. Love their hot fudge sundaes. My sister says their flurry that is vanilla and chocolate with cookie dough is “excellente.”We also love their ice cream cakes, so this summer we started buying ice cream cakes for any occasion we could think of. They brought on a new cake decorator this summer who is very good and clearly takes great pride in it what she does (and deservedly. I posted a pic of our Indy 500 cake- we just said the colors were “black and white checkers” and she actually depicted an IndyCar on the cake!). Love this place.

Been coming here for years but the last 2 times I’ve been the customer service has been extremely bad. Have to ask for a lid because I’m taking it in the car and both times was looked directly at and ignored. On top of the fact they aren’t necessarily friendly throughout the order process whatsoever ever. Only thing saving them is their ice cream.. highly recommend Greg’s over here.

I celebrated my daughters 8th grade graduation with dinner and dairy dream treat to wrap up a great night.This place was packed!! A line around back!! So awesome as usual...yummy dreamsicle cone and blue moon for my sweet little girl.

I just cant tell you how many awesome memories this place has for me. Both as a kid and now as an adult. Dairy Dream needs to be protected and always be in Libertyville. We love their cheeseburgers to of course their ice cream and root beer floats. Their cheese curds are absolutely ridiculous. The paper bag barely contains them for very long.

This was my 1st time visit to this place. Its really good. They have good variety of custards. Their Habreno Cheese curd was awesome. After Culvers stopped their chipotle cheese curds, we were looking for some spicy cheese curds and didnt expect to be in custard place and decided to try and it was good.it was little more oily than expected. During the COVID19 situation they are well prepared.

Great ice cream shop - they have some food options as well. They do have a lot of flavors / styles of ice cream and sorbet - but I keep it simple and get a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. Adjacent to the North Shore Bike Trail - so we stop in while on a long walk or bike ride.

I have never seen so many options before at an ice cream shop! A local classic. The Bostons are so good--I had never tried them before this place! Theres an endless amount of choices and combinations of desserts, and the food is good too. We got the cheese curds, onion rings, and chili cheese fries. Will definitely be returning.

We visited this sweet little ice cream shop for the first time this weekend. I cant believe weve never been before! It was really fun and tasty! I gave Dairy Dream 4 starts because I love the idea of soft serve ice cream that comes in so many flavors. However, for some flavors it seems like its not as consistent all the way through. We plan to come back and try more items in the menu. They even have did for lunch or dinner. If you are ever in the area this place is a great place to visit!

I havent been here for several years but they have the best milkshakes. The other ice cream and food is good too. I especially enjoyed the blue raspberry milkshakes the owner Justin who is a really nice guy used to make for me! I live in beautiful Provo UTAH now but if I come back to visit this way I will stop in! Thanks, from Dion.

Favorite ice cream place

This place is pretty good, a very friendly and classic atmosphere. Also quite reasonably priced. Be aware, it gets PACKED on warm summer nights! They also have some picnic tables in the back of the parking lot which are right next to the North Shore Bike Path. Probably the greatest thing about Libertyville, and I mean that truthfully.

The prices are good and the serving sizes are very good, but it is soft serve and I prefer hand dipped. Now of course you cannot compare the two but they have a lot of flavors. Im a purist and just had a medium mix cone that was pretty big, my friend couldnt even finish her dipped kid cone! It was $4.00 for both. They had a ton of menu items but we just tried the cones. If we ever head back up that way I will stop there again to try something else. Maybe a sundae next time.

I worked here for 5 seasons and never have I loved a job so much! I was always there whether or not I was working because the ice cream and food is just that good! $2 small cones, $1 large fry Friday’s, $3 chicken tender Tuesday’s, you really can’t find prices like that too often for the steller quality dairy dream provides! There are so many options to choose from, I’ve tried all 28+ Soft serve flavors and Probably have 10 favorite ones. Workers genuinely care about customers (I know this because of all the people I’ve worked with there), and Justin (the owner) is one of the greatest people I have come to know. Dairy Dream really is about putting the customer first and any person whose been there can attest to that!

Dairy Dream has the best mushroom Swiss burger Ive ever had. They bring in cheese from Wisconsin and its amazing. The only problem with the ice cream treats is that there are so many choices and every one is delicious! Highly recommended for really nice service and great food at reasonable prices.

Wow, really interesting ice cream flavors! 28 flavors including lemon, coconut, raspberry as well as the usual flavors. Also they have dips in different flavors such as raspberry, cotton candy and peanut butter. I had a chocolate cone with peanut butter dip. It was outstanding!

So many flavors & all are great! Try the pistachio or the coconut! Good solid lunch food including burgers, hot dogs fries etc. My favorites include cheese curds, cheese fries & if hungry enough I go with one of the mega combo meals. Expect long lines on hot Summer days. Its worth the wait!

Many employees and still not enough hands,services is slow. Order a hot dog Chicago style youll be waiting a good ten minutes. There version is to add ingredients but dont cook it.These hotdogs were right out of the package and not even warm, I couldnt eat the next one I was sick.

Been coming here since I can remember. You wont find a better selection of dipped cone flavors anywhere. And the soft serve is on point. I honestly cant drive by the dream without stopping for a dipped cone. And believe you me, Ive tried.

The have Sister Store The Dairy Bar in Glenview. & YEA!!! They have Orange Sorbet. For the Lactose Intolerant too.!!! A good day was had by the whole Family 2 legged & 4 Legged. !!!!!!!

I dont think there is a bad flavor! I have been going to Dairy Dream as long as I can remember. I used to ride my bike up the bike path for the cookie dough flurries. Back then they used a gooey cookie dough instead of the balls of cookie dough like DQ. I wish they would bring that back! The Amaretto flavor and the Dreamsicle are tied for my favorite.
