Their fried chicken is lightly breaded, juicy and moist; its delicious. They always have specials on imported pasta from Italy. In their Bakery, they have homemade Italian Cannolis; they are excellent!

I love there meat I just wish I could pick up the packages with out all the wetsmelly juice they dont use the padding under there meat ... that would help a great deal

Every single one of their non alcoholic beers was expired. I know people dont drink it that often but you should still check up on your stock every once in a while... Expired in 2017!!

Have been shopping at Butera in Lindenhurst since 2006. It really says something about a business when I see a few employees today that I think were around when I first started shopping at Butera. I appreciate their cut of meats and the direct approach of the female in the meat department. Fruits and vegetables are my main reason to shop Butera. I also enjoy the reduced bread & fruits/vegetables available, as well as the ability to drop off excess plastic bags and the fair price on flowers. I wish though the end cuts of processed meats were offered at a reduced price as it is in the Grayslake store. Thank you for what you provide and do it at a reasonable price. Thank You!

Bought the ON SALE 99¢ chicken breast. In fact I made a special trip to VISIT this store. Wasnt until I got home that I noticed I paid $1.99 a pound. There was a HUGE sign in front of the display boneless skinless chicken breast . 99¢ lb. Talk about a bait and switch! I should have checked. So much for blind faith in truth in advertising and CARING FOR THE CUSTOMER!!! Lost my business!!!!

Overall the store is looking more clean, and is better organized. Produce and meat departments were pretty good. There were good deals on apples, other fall and winter fruit, and potatoes. Meat department also had good deals on fresh pork, sausages, and soup bones were available.

When I visit my daughter in Lindenhurst from Florida, I always shop there. My daughter shops there weekly.

VERY tired store. Needs a remodel.

Shopped there for the first time the other day. The smell was so bad just walking in to get a cart, I should have turned around but I wanted to see what the place was like. All produce was old and moldy. Tried to pick out some cartons of raspberries and blackberries. Got them home, the raspberries were oozing their own juices in the middle and the blackberries were molding on each other. Couldnt buy any strawberries because they were also moldy and brown. All the fruit carton racks were full too, which means they just filled them up. Only other safe option was bananas. Went to buy chicken and the packages were covered in their own juices as well, just wet and sticky. Only good thing about this place was the checkout ladies, they were super nice. Definitely will not be going back.

I like Butera. The store is good sized but not massive so its easy to shop quickly. The Deli and Meat sections have great prices on quality products. The Frozen and Alcohol sections are small but have what I need. This is not a stock up for a month place, but rather a pick up for the weekend place, and serves this function very well.

Good neighborhood grocery. Decent selection year round. Interesting produce selection and a ethnic isle to rival most bigger stores.. But the hidden secret is that this is my go to spot for roses on valentines day. $15 for a dozen red Roses and the quality and selection is great. See you next year again.

I love this store! The prices on lunch meat, fruits, veggies and meats cannot be beat! Every Saturday morning Im greeted by the friendliest staff in the deli, at the meat counter and the register. I actually look forward to going there every week and talking with the staff. They are great!

I went in with a 5 year old and sleeping 3 year old. My 3 year old didnt wake up the entire 20 min trip and was a pain to sling over my shoulder. At the register a man who worked there (I think another cashier) offered to unload my cart because my youngest was sleeping and I only had one hand to work with. That was one of the coolest things done for me in a long time. The workers there are incredibly nice.

Will only go for sale prices, otherwise there are better options in the area for groceries.

Was great, had the chicken. Felt like a normal day at the grocery. No panic. Employees were terrific.

I really like this Butera. They have pretty good produce. A large selection in the meat department. I think where they shine, is in their deli. The have a great selection of name brand and homemade products. Often, their sales are phenomenal. My only complaint would be that they often dont have enough staff behind the deli to accommodate all the people shopping there.

Sale items always stocked if not-no questions asked in giving out rain check.

Butera Market was a great place to take my students with special needs on a field trip. The staff was so accommodating. The store manager opened and register for my students to use exclusively. He even sent us back to school with cookies! It was a great learning experience for my students.

I would give no stars if possible. This store is ratchet. From the moment you walk in the carpet is filthy (who has carpet in produce to begin with?) with food smashed into it. It wreaked of dirty dishwater and old meat throughout the aisles. I wouldnt even consume the meat, it was clearly expired. I just walked out in disgust and felt like I needed to wash my hands. Sorry but Im not putting expired dirty food in my body under those conditions. CLEAN YOUR STORE!!

Never enough help in the deli. Have walked away 3 of the 4 times Ive been at this store. Not waiting in line 10 numbers back with only 2 people working at the deli counter.

Best place in lake county to get all kinds of international food especially Italian foods items! Very clean so much better then Jewel ect and best of all you save your hard earned money

They have what you need. Prices are decent on many items. Some modernization would be nice.

We occasionally go to butera but its not our go-to choice for shopping. They do have some specialty items that are hard to find at the bigger chain stores and you can get in and out fairly quick most times if you only need to pick up a couple of items. The store has kind of an older small town feel to it. The customer base seems to be more of an older crowd which is one thing we like about it because everything seems to run at a slower pace which is a nice change sometimes compared to the bigger stores where you feel like people will step on your neck to get to where theyre going. The thing that keeps us from going here more often is that because they are more of a smaller type store they are somewhat limited on selection and the prices are often higher.

This store has a great selection of produce and meat and has prices that cant be beaten by larger chain stores.
