October 4, 2021 - I called last week to discuss my bill, budget plan, contract renewal, etc. and I all got was arrogance and a run around, I was blatantly told that the cost per gallon would be $3.84 and that my monthly budget would be increased from the current $185 to $250. No discussion. I asked for a supervisor. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. She finally came back and said the supervisor was on another call and would call me back. This was at 9:45 am. I asked her to call me before 12:30 pm. I waited all day. she never called. I called back at 3:30 pm and was told she left for lunch and never came back and that we didnt even know she left for the day. Great customer service and even better internal communication you guys have.Is this how you treat your loyal customers? Today, the power is with the consumer, not the company. But Romanelli doesnt seem to know or care about this, now do you? So I did what I always do - I shopped around. I found a well-known competitor of yours who gave me a price per gallon that is 85 cents less than what you were willing to give me. 85 cents! I use about 900 gallons a year. This comes to a savings of $765 or $63.75 per month.So now that I canceled my account I get an email from them stating that they want to do whatever we can to get me back. Seriously? You have some set to even make a statement like that. Hey, I have an idea, lets piss off a loyal customer, treat him like crap, charge him a ton more per month, per gallon, and dont return his call. Thatll be a great way to keep him satisfied.Social media and the internet have change the power dynamics in the consumer/supplier relationship. The power is now in the hand of the consumer and not the service provider. Companies such as Romanelli dont understand this. But as more consumers do what I just did, trust me, they will or they wont be around too long.

One could say office staff is unprofessional, but I believe is more ignorance.The drivers and techs are wonderful, I would hope more were hired by better companies. More than ten years of an adversarial relationship and we are done. Oh they have been sold to a bigger company but do not tell you that anywhere. We found out when get new tank quotes. The person who does that for the bigger company told us he’s far to busy to actually do a written quote.

Many issues with billing since the new system has been put in place, no one knows anything about the new system, took months to correct mistakes on the bill. Several calls had to be made before someone figured out where my online payments were being posted to. Even though they were posting the payments to the wrong account we kept receiving threatening calls and mail that our oil delivery are being held until we pay past due bills. The a/c service contract doesnt actually cover anything and is worthless. Will not be renewing with them.

Have a fuel and service contract with Romanelli for over 15 years and always get good service. If a problem with the burner arises their service techs always get it fixed the first time (usually the same day I call). I definitely recommend them.

Cant understand why the negative reviews. Great company, great people, great service. They have never let me down. Other companies keep you on hold and waiting forever for service. This company treats the customers with respect.

I am a new customer and home owner, after a lot of research I ended up going with Romenelli and sons after talking with Kelly over the phone. She was very helpful and accommodating. This was back in October. She promised a tune up prior to the winter along with other promises to get me as a customer. I have yet to get my tune up and it’s January. I called the customer service line twice to be greeted with extremely rude customer service. They always seem overwhelmed. I had to correct my bill twice because it was not the promised rate..will not be renewing.

This company is run by a bunch of LIARS! I locked in my oil rate online but they wont honor the price! I locked in at $1.99 per gallon but they charged me $2.89! They said that I never locked in but I have proof that I did. They will try and cheat you out of your money. Dont be fooled by them. I am going to take them to small claims court and get back the money they stole from me. STAY CLEAR OF THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!!!

I am not a huge poster on the internet, but after seeing the recent ratings i needed to chime in . Approximately 10 years ago we moved to our house that we currently live in. After contacting a few oil companies we settled with romanelli. We had a new complete oil system installed. Never NEVER have we had an issue with service, delivery, pricing, nor service. Im not sure where this comes from.A very satisfied cuatomer

I had them install a forced hot air system with central air .I didnt know much about central air conditioning, so I asked for their opinion of what they suggest fits the size of the house. We were told a 2 ton unit would Be more than enough for my 1100Sf house even after i told them i would be doing an extension in the near future. unfortunately, it was installed in the winter so I was not able to tell how the AC would work. When summer did come, I was not able to get the house below 75°on a hot day. They came and told me it was because the return filter was dirty. After we changed the filter on our own and still the problem persisted, they then said they needed to charge the system . The house dropped From 75° To 73. We then noticed the burner ignited while the AC was Running so we called them AGAIN and they told us the computer board needed to be replaced. By this time, fall came and we didnt need AC anymore so was not able to tell if the problem was solved with this new comp-board. The following summer (2016), we turned on the AC and guess what? we could not get the house below 75° again. We called Romanelli and Son, this time their excuse was it will not get cool because you are trying to reach an unrealistic tempterature and 72 IS a normal tempt to be a at . we decided to ask for someone elses expertise who did not work for Romanelli and Sons. They explained our house was given the wrong sized unit. After we had brought this information to Romanelli and Sons attention, they consistantly told us the unit size we have is accurate and 72 degrees is a normal tempt. SO, We refused to make our FINAL installment payment until this was fixed. they came again. NOW they told us the coil needed to be replaced in which they replaced it and so we gave them our final payment. At this time fall came around and they said they would honor their work into 2017 summer since we couldnt be sure if the AC worked in the winter. Its now June 2017. We turned on the AC and SURPRISE, the house does not get cool. we called them and they never called us back. we will need to pay SOMEONE else to replace this unit so we can once and for all get cool air. My fan does a better job at the moment. STAY AWAY FROM ROMANELLI AND SONS.

Im a customer and have been since they acquired Massapequa FuelCalled five times in Dec 2015 to make a service appt for my burner and told the new schedule was not available until JanuaryCalled in January and told appointments not scheduled until April and that I should have read the contract to know thisPersonnel couldnt care lessWill look for another oil delivery company
