Chris has worked on all Rickenbackers I own and has done so with amazing proficiency and expertise. If I ever have questions or am unsure about something related to these (sometimes delicate) instruments, I always go to him. He is courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about his work, and it shows in the caliber of his hardworking nature and track record. For anything and everything Rickenbacker, Chris is the man.
Chris has helped me over the years supplying strings & parts, repair and set up, helping me sell one of my guitars, and many other Rickenbacker business transactions. I have always 100% trusted Chris, and he has always done excellent work on my 12 Strings. His advice is sound, and always is happy to hear from a fellow Rickenbacker player. He is the savior to all who has tried to get help from Rickenbacker in CA !Keep up the good work. We need you dude!Ed......from Virginia..............
Ive casually known Chris and Pick of the Ricks since years ago when he had a store by the Berlin farmers market. Me, I have around 25-26 instruments in my collection and I am a pure tone Junkie. I love playing rock and I really Love that Ric bass tone and the 12 + 6 string single coil jangle that Rickenbackers sing with. I was referred to Chris by a good friend. I left my number, later he lets me know of a possible 73 stereo 401 bass available. So, he Hooks me up and helps me restore and modify it to my personal liking. Saving me mucho $$$. So I have had a few other absolutely good experiences since then.I can honestly say there is a much better chance these negative recounts are more likely pure jacked up Bull***t. Plain and simple.Today.... therestoo much anonymity on the internet and that allows blatant sensationalism beyond compare with real life.if everyone would think about the words they put into a review being said about themselves from someone else they might put those words down a bit more carefully and more honestly.R.W. 45 year player.
Professional and courteous. Go to source of anything Rickenbacker highly recommend.
I hade my 67 rick check out when bought it in 2005, it was all origanl. I took it to Chris to clean up my frets and set the intination, Im not guitar knowlegeable but when I told Chris it sounded a little diferant he told me it was becase the intenation was so bad IT WASENT THAT BAD smelt fishe to me so I took it somwhare else to have them look at it there was shiny solder and after market parts HE MADE OFF WITH VINTAGE PARTS AND THEN LIED TO ME you might want to look in your Rick and see if it is right. Im calling him disonest.
Pick of the Ricks also gos by dependablegibson5318 on ebay and gibsondependable in other thieving ways ( DONT TRUST THIS THIEF ) if you have a quality vintage 1950s threw 1070s guitar the pickups pots, and switches hidden inside the guitar are worth $1200 to $ 3500 if original, when he gets the opportunity, he takes your valuable vintage parts and swaps them out for used newer parts with very little value. THIEF ALERT - THIEF ALERT - THIEF ALERT - THIEF ALERT - Ryan Ingram your a thief
After being warned I read his reviews. I thought my Rick sounded different after he worked in it about a year ago, so I opened it up today and sure enough he ripped off my vintage parts also and replaced them with cheap ones dependablegibson your a thief.
Great selection, great prices, and great service.
Get place, very helpful.
Its for sure this guy is a thief he got off with parts from my 1956 Les Paul
