Stopped in today to get a part for a used Framed bike I recently bought. Decided I was just going to drop off the bike so they could fix it and look it over. Always a great experience. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. No elitist attitudes you sometimes get in specialty stores. Prices are fair. They have a great selection and usually have great off season sales. Plus its really well laid out.

Horrible customer service experience. Ordered a Framed fat tire back and it came, but with a fork that was bent and could not fit the front tire. Back and forth emails, promises of short turnaround- finally I get a message to send the bike back before they can do anything to help me. I’m done. I am sending the bike back and will not order from this company again.
Had a terrible experience with them, shipped the female version of GT bike I ordered. I wasnt paying attention and noticed after I had the bike mostly assembled. Their customer service was wreck to deal with. I had to convince them of the issue and apparently they were out of stock of the mens so someone made a mistake there. I had to ship the bike back and they gave me a credit and discount on another bike, however it was a small discount and the whole ordeal took months of back and forth.
I havent used the q tubes yet they look adequate but I have worn the North Face Gore-Tex running shoes and Im really satisfied

I ordered a set of ski bindings; I was told they would ship within a week. A month passed, no word. I tried calling multiple times, they hung up on me after 20 minutes on hold each time. I emailed, no response for literally 3 months. And that response was to inform me that the bindings were out of stock. Mostly frustrated with the lack of communication here- I always understand if it takes longer to ship, it’s just nice to know the status of the order.Edit: change from one star to five. I had the above scenario happen to me. After leaving the review, William from The House reached out wondering if he could help in any way. I had previously gotten myself ski bindings elsewhere so I didn’t need anything. However he sent me a VERY generous gift card to redeem at The House. They managed the problem very well and made sure to change my mind about them! Excited to purchase something with the gift card! Edit: this company did reach out to my issue that was stated below and they are making it right. Just be aware that your order might get messed up, but they will eventually get it right.This has been the biggest headache ever. I ordered bindings back in July and they were backordered until August. After the backorder got pushed back even further, I email them to have the address changed. I get confirmation that address was changed fo reflect my new address. The bindings got back ordered even further, which at that point I just wanted to get a pair they had in stock. I had to pay and extra $50+ for the difference in the bindings, understandable. They told me that the bindings would ship immediately. After a WEEK of no shipping confirmation, I had to email them again and ask what was going on. They said there was an issue in the shipping system (I understood because stuff happens) and they said they would ship out the next day. It finally got delivered, according to the tracking number. I never received the package at my door. After having to dig through emails and see where the package was shipped, they wrong address (my old address that I confirmed back on Aug that they changed).
I was able to get a full face bicycle helmet for pickup in a few days, close to my work, works for me.

Good selection of gear. The main store was well stock with ski and snowboard items. The outlet is further back on the road, had a great selection of bikes, apparel, and camping gear. Prices are fair, the outlet prices are awesome. If you dont see something in the store that is on their site, ask someone and they can check if they have it in their warehouse. Staff knows there stuff but arent always available. It would be neat to see some female staff though.

Great customer service. I bought a Burton Instigator snowboard package and went to pick it up yesterday. I mentioned that I was new to snowboarding while picking up the board at the customer service kiosk. An employee named James heard the conversation and offered to set up the snowboard and the binding for me. James explain me in details about the binding setup process and the recommended binding angle setups for new snowboarder. I truly appreciate the service.
If you need any outdoor products, theres no need to shop with this company. The agent agreed the price match in the beginning, and after your order shipped, they wouldnt admit what they promised before and refused to provide more help. I dont see the difference between this behavior and the scam.There are more company like Backcountry, Moosejaw, Sunnysports and REI, etc. You dont need to waste your money here.

Just received my 5th Element Board in the mail. The shipping was fast and the price was right. Will definitely do more business with The House next season. Purchased a snowboard jacket for my wife for Christmas on line on December 6, 2020. Showed that it would arrive before Christmas if I purchased at that time. Got a confirmation that they had received the order but still as of December 15 it has not shipped. Three days straight of phone calls to them with no answer on their end after holding for up to 30 minutes. Finally yesterday was able to get a hold of someone that said it is making its way through the warehouse and should be shipped tomorrow Wednesday, December 16. Highly unlikely that it will make it here before Christmas if at all. After two different emails sent for order status and multiple phone calls I’m not impressed with their method of customer service. Will update this post to let everyone know how this turns out.Update: 12/24/20After posting my review back on Dec 15th I received an email the next day from Jess Bell who was very helpful and interested in taking care of my issue. He had determined that the item I ordered was no longer in stock at the warehouse and that I should have been notified that my order could not be completed. He was apologetic and suggested I order a similar item off their website and he would offer a discount (which ended up being about 20%) and quick shipping. Three days later I received the jacket and have it in time for Xmas.I appreciate his attentiveness to the matter. My suggestion is for better customer communication options as I have read quite a few other reviews having the same issues.Thanks again Jess!

She was so helpful and searched a ton for what he needed (he is really picky.) she probably spent an hour and half helping us! I don’t normally leave reviews- but I want her management to know how great she was. I ordered a pair of snowboard boots for my son in December. They arrived fairly quickly however the boots ran small. So I called customer service and asked if I could exchange the boots which they said is not a problem. They said to order The new boots that are the correct size and when they receive the boots that were too small that they would credit back the credit card and wave the return shipping fee. Well they charged my credit card for the new boots however it has been over 3 weeks now and I still have not received the credit for the boots that I returned. It has been two weeks since I received an email saying that they received the boots and will process the return but still nothing. I called today in the morning and the message says to call back during normal business hours, well it is normal business hours according to the message for the hours of operation.

A friend and I went in to get some info on a few different decks. I talked with Drew, Steve and Aren and each one was able to help me out. This is the reason I come to this shop. The employees aren’t randoms who need a job. It’s people who actually ski, snowboard and bike. They enjoy doing it and it shows when they’re at work and able to help people with their knowledge. You have to support the local shops. Especially when they know their stuff. Can’t be beat when it comes to people who actually ride and can help you pick out new gear. My friend left with a new set up and pants. Thank you guys so much!

I checked out this website after seeing a snowboarding jacket I wanted at a cheaper price, first of all the selection and prices are great. I was a bit skeptical after reading a couple negative reviews with orders missing or never being delivered, but all of the items i ordered made it to my house in 3 days! I love the anorak jacket I got as well as the gloves and stomp pad . Would definitely recommend buying from The House!

TL,DR: ghosted by customer service after receiving damaged product.Would not recommend ordering online from this shop. Back in September I ordered a bike and was really excited to get it, only to receive an email over a week later saying that the bike wasn’t actually in stock and they wouldn’t be able to fill my order. They did offer me a small discount for the inconvenience which was nice.I then ordered a different bike and separate wheel set that same day. A week later, I got the same email that the wheels I ordered weren’t actually in stock. Why was I able to order these items that were out of stock, not sure...Eventually, the second bike I ordered was delivered which was great, until I found that one of the wheels was damaged. I contacted the customer service department, and someone got back to me relatively quickly offering to send me a return label or a 10% refund so I could go get the wheel fixed at my local shop.It’s been 2 months since this offer and I’ve yet to see the refund in my account OR get any response from customer service to the several emails I’ve sent them since then...
Ordered a pair of snow pants two weeks ago. Got a confirmation email saying that I will get an email when the item ships. Two weeks later, still no confirmation email. I tried emailing a several times with no answer. When I finally called they said it might be inventory issue and they will verify right away what’s going on and get back to me. No one got back to me. Trying to get a refund now. So disappointed with the service. Never buy online from them!!!_____________Update: After a while, Jess Bell took care of my case and was very helpful. I guess I wasn’t lucky with my order that was lost at their warehouse at first... good customer service resolved everything.
I really like this place. The retail store is nice and the staff is cool and helpful. The web site is easy to use and support is local which is nice. Plus, they seem to be educated on the products they sell.

I went to 6 places looking for a new burton snowboard bindings part (the sliders) and no one had it. After receiving order confirmation, never heard anything back. 6 days later, I took it upon myself to call them about my order. They gave me the runaround and some BS story like always. I was informed the item wasnt even found or heard of in the warehouse. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
Received the bike before Christmas, I thank everyone at the house for going above and beyond.Update: the house reached out and have been more than sympathetic about the situation. Their customer service rep Jess was extremely polite and helpful.Ordered a bike on 11/23 for my daughter for Christmas. Was advised it was back ordered and would ship 12/15. Now the day of shipment i am now informed it will not even be recieved by them until 12/31 at the soonest, if you trust that date as the first was not accurate, so now just over a week before Christmas and no bike. I appreciate the selling of items you dont have as well as fleecing customers until the last possible day. An improvement in logistics is clearly needed.
Great as always. They have a nice new retail space that is much more put together than the old warehouse. I come here because the staff know what theyre talking about and are very helpful for both beginners and seasoned skiers/boarders. I also always feel confident that I am getting a good deal.

One instance was for a return of a defective product (pair of bibs with a defective snap) that was handled very well and a full refund promised by Cody, and another for a new order placed for a pair of goggles that was handled exceptionally by Ray. Ordered some boots for my daughters birthday from this store. I got an email the next day saying the item had shipped. 2 and a half weeks later tracking info still stated a shipping label had been printed but USPS had never received it. At this point I called and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, a customer service rep told me that he would have a new pair of boots expedited to me to make it in time for my daughters birthday the following week. 7 days later I called to ask about my order as my daughters birthday was the next day and I still did not have her present. They said the item was out of stock and had never been resent. I explained to them that I now needed to go rush and try to find new boots in time for my daughters birthday and asked if I could get a refund to be able to afford to do this. They said that was impossible and I would not get a refund until 5-7 business days afterwards. Definitely would not recommend purchasing from this store!!!

I strongly advise you not to order online from them. We experienced very poor customer service. We were sent a defective shoe and contacted them immediately for a return shipping label, which they sent after we provided pictures of the damaged goods. They sent out a return label without the RMA number which you need when filling out the label form. So be sure you get one!They would not go ahead and send a replacement pair of shoes. They wanted us to go back online and place a second order, which would mean incurring a second shipping charge for us. This is unacceptable and shows that they do not put their customers first. We ended up returning our entire order and shopped elsewhere for the replacements. I wish I had read the reviews about them first. Save yourself a headache and stay away from online ordering from The House Outdoor Gear!
I ordered a pair of snow board boots and bindings right before Christmas. We had to return them after Christmas because they were too big. They told us they had to refund them and were not able to exchange them even though they were the same boot. We got them sized in the store, but when we got home, we found out they gave us two left boots, different size boots. We then had to go back a second time....again only refunding no exchange. The House owes us over $500 and its been over a month. Been on hold with customer service for hours, went to the store and was told a manager was going to get back with me. I emailed them only to get a response that it will take 3 weeks till they can get back to me. The house has quality stuff, but rotten service.

Ive purchased a mountain bike and cross country skis here. This review is not for their products, but for their customer service. Without hesitation they have replaced multiple bike parts including a defective frame and wheel...not sure what this says about the quality of Framed bikes though :/. After talking to enough people in their service department, they were able to completely replace warranteed skis and even threw in brand new bindings that I had accidentally left on the skis when returned. It does also help that Im local and can drive to their showroom when needed. Some of their service reps didnt help at all and others did. But with persistence, they will absolutely do whatever it takes to set you up right.
No one answers the phone. Nobody responds on their chat function. And nobody responds to an email either. The folks in the store are ok. I’ve had two different people that helped when I went in that were great. However, their communication for customer service flat out sucks. I’ve been on hold so long that it kicks me off the line. I’ve been waiting to chat with someone but that disappeared too. I don’t get it.
After returning a pair of boots The House sent me an email stating my purchase was ready for pickup. I was assured it was the computers fault and I would be refunded.11/6 Update: I have now been refunded. Thank you Jess for helping me with this process!!! I greatly appreciate this.
I returned two items on two separate occasions. Both returns were about 3 and 5 weeks ago. I have called customer service, tried chat on the website, reached out on the Facebook page. Finally got a response when I posted about my experience on their FB. The guy said it would be passed on to a store manager to get taken care of. Three days later and NO MONEY AND NO WORD FROM ANYONE. My husband reached out YET AGAIN. He was told to call customer service. But they never answer the phone, you’re just out on hold indefinitely. I’m out almost $300. Hello?!?
I will never be shopping with this scam of a company again. I bought my husband ski gear for Christmas & when we received it the products were too large. We went ahead and purchased the correct sizes without doing an exchange... just so we would receive the items quickly. Thankfully we did not do the exchange because I doubt I would have ever received the correct product. I send the package off on 12/13 and The House received in on 12/15. They failed to send an email stating that the ski gear made it to their returns department... so I decided to call. The young lady told me that it would take about 3-5 days for that refund to be issues. Well... today is 12/26 and I still have not received any notifications that the product was received or a refund was issued. So, I decided to call... the gentleman I spoke to today said it would take FOUR TO SIX WEEKS for my money to be returned to me. WHICH IS ABSOLUERLY RIDICULOUS!!! I will now be disputing this with my credit card company because I do not see any refund ever being issues. WHAT A SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!A completed Return Form (or other documents including all the requested information) must accompany your return.Once we receive the product(s) into our system (usually 3-5 business days), we will credit your account. The Smartwool is nice. But since I got blue leggings twice when I already sent them back. It is wrongly stated as black. I received blue. Either your staff is color blind, or I am meant to wear ugly blue leggings. They match my jacket, ok they are not that bad.

UPDATE: The company reached out, a Jess Bell, and was really apologetic. She even offered to kick down a $50 gift card to a new coat, which she would overnight. I had already bought a different coat elsewhere, and let her know that, but she asked me to keep the gift certificate as a good gesture. She explained that orders lately have been unusual with COVID, and that she was sorry, especially because I didn’t have a winter coat and it’s WINTER. Lol. I’d say Jess is a huge asset to that company, because she took the time to make it right. Fast delivery, everything arrived in perfect condition. The board did break through the box at the nose-end edge. That could be a FedEx handling problem, can never tell, but maybe an extra wrap of thin cardboard around the curves that protrude the most could help.
Had some issue with my order. It took some time to work out, but they were resolved and I am content with the outcome. For local shoppers it is good to know that in store pick up will take a few days before you buy because the product may be coming in from out of state.

Store called me personally to let me know the items that I had ordered were not actually available. He told me of a similar tube that was available and I said ok. I received at the tubes only 2 days later and unbeknownst to me I believe I got an upgrade. These tubes were awesome. Fully covered. Kids loved then. I am a fan. Ive had two positive experiences with online orders from The House. I gave this place a try when I found a bike (Fuji Cross 1.5) that I thought would be out of my price range on sale on their website. They only had one bike left in stock, and it happened to be in my size! I took a chance and ordered it. I had to call customer service and and confirm my information because my shipping address was different from my billing address, but the waiting music was fun and the phone call was quick. The bike arrived surprisingly fast after that! I had help from a bike mechanic, but you can also pay to have most assembly done before shipping. Long story short, the bike is perfect for me and way better than I thought I could afford! I have since purchased some cycling jerseys and shorts that were all high quality, name brand, new with tags, and cheaper than I found anywhere else.

Waste of time. After looking on the web page and driving a hour to go pick out a new board, bindings and boots for a birthday present and some other stuff for myself was told they are taking names to be put on a waiting list which is 3 1/2 hours long. I wonder how many on that list actually came back and if the ones who showed up willing to wait in a line like most other business that have limited capacity are doing will ever buy anything from you again . What a very poor decision. EVO was able to ship my order out tomorrow will be here in a couple days

Poor business practices! READ BEFORE YOU SHOP.They’re currently only taking appointments to shop due to Covid (even though other retail locations are not currently)Which I would understand to a point due to the pandemic .. HOWEVERThey have no post on google, their website or anywhere that they are open by appointment only.So you drive all the way there to be told it’ll be an hour and a half wait.We left to checkout another shop obviously and then called later to make an appointment for the following day and guess what? THEY DON’T EVEN ANSWER THEIR PHONES SO YOU CAN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.No automatic option to schedule via phone or on their website.If your going to have additional restrictions beyond what your competitors are doing at LEAST make it easier for your customers to shop with those restrictions.I’m currently on hold while writing this review it’s been over 24 minutes now.We would have been in and out and purchased a complete snowboard set/bindings/boots the works yet you made it so unbelievably difficult to spend our money here we will probably shop elsewhere.**UPDATE**Someone finally answered and then put us on hold and sent us to an answering machine to leave a message.LITERALLY UNBELIEVABLE
