Have lived in this park since 1985 and now for the past few years its being going down hill both crime and extreme lack of management caretaking when it comes to street potholes,plowing ect.. Tom the park manager needs to be replaced by someone who can do the job correctly and within a timely manner. Have tried communicating with the park and all i ever get is a..we are on it, but then months go by and things still dont get done and when something finally does, its a bare bones lowest bid poor job. If you can avoid coming here do so.

Would rate zero stars if possible. The pictures are the norm in this park. These are taken from my deck of my driveway. This has happened every single time we get a good rain fall. I complain to the office and they say its the citys problem. I call the city and they say its the parks problem. No one wants to fix it. It has cost me 2 vehicles. They have rusted out and needed to be junked. Thus is an absolute joke!

Very bad service from Thomas, it is not possible that since October I give him every month my check stubs and my account statements for my application and simply every month he says that they were lost, they should assign an efficient person who does his job well and attends peoples requests ...

Lived here for over 20 years. It was a nice place to grow up, but its gotten bad in the last few years. Theft and vandalism is super common now. Someone let the air out of my tires several times, stole my license plate, stole gas from my mothers car, put a nail in the side wall of my mothers car, stolen shovels and so much more. The rules for parking arent enforced regularly. Its supposed to be 2 cars per drive way but more than a dozen homes pull up their drive way or park in their yard to let a third car in, most of the time still sticking out into the street. Speeders are common, too. People will go 20 or 30 mph and the speed limit is 10 mph. A plus side is rent isnt too bad and most of the neighbours keep to them selves. There is a playground and small basketball court for kids. They also have a storm shelter so thats a win for safety. They are also a little forgiving when it comes to being late with rent. The manager is super nice and friendly, but the owners are making him manage two parks so its hard to get a hold of him. The people who do maintenance suck at their jobs, and they dont know how to plow snow to save their lives. You have to shovel five feet past your driveway to get your car out. The paths they make would hardly fit two smart cars, let alone two normal size ones passing each other. all in all, if youre like 50 with no kids at home, this place is for you

For living here for 15+ years and seeing what has become of it. Dont move here unless its you last option close to a house. From the time I moved in with my folks it has only gone downhill for management. Rule for parking are not practical for the matter of petty reasons. such as, no parking from 12 am-6 am year round with no consistent enforcement (being Minnesota with winter parking, no street parking is logical for plowing). Lack of communication is more common than alright. If you have visitors (regardless where they are from) they have to park in the four provided spots for visitors. the rules are on paper and dont get carried out evenly for every resident. If you do get towed regardless. it is a cash only deal of getting your vehicle back.There are pluses to living here.In recent times of being a resident form 15+ I would say dont reside here.Besides being a fairly quiet area its nice as always kids can enjoy the neighborhood with a park to play in. traffic has picked up a lot in 2 years. 24 hours with residence leaving, moving, or coming in with consistent visitors coming in and out all hours of day.

Very quiet place to live love it here

Tom in the office is great I enjoy talking to him.love him fishing tips. Lot fee is low and the yard is a good size. The streets are plowed and salted.yes some people do park on the Street all night but Tom will work with you on that.the only thing I had a problem with were the three kids that ran in my yard and broke my night light for the drive way and Tom took care of that. Im on a fixed income and I pay lot rent on the 3rd of the month with no late fees. We dont have a mortgage we were able to pay for our great home in full. We went on vacation and as we were driving through the passes of Idaho we get a call from Tom greeting the newest members to the community to me it just felt like you are home. And the community is great and very quiet. We love it here and we aint going no where

Nice place to live!!! Pretty quiet and has activities especially in the summer. Holiday decorating contests with prizes every year. Manager is always out of office and answering service is useless. Promises a lot but usually no follow through.

Mangement is very prejudice. He only likes certain type people. Always raising the lot rent with no improvement to the community. Community rules dont apply to property managers favorites.

Lived there many years, management was really good until the management that is in now became managers. Now the entire trailer park is crap. Plowing is not done in the winter (having a bad knee is no excuse not to get it done).There is an invasion of privacy when the walk through the yard that you are PAYING lot rent for, so they can find something to give you notices about. Like something behind your deck out of view from the street and all neighbors. (even if they dont like the kind of ashtray you are using outside for your cigarettes)The management now chooses favorites. Any good reviews on here for North Star Estates is either written by one of their few Favorites, that they dont harass or they wrote it themselves in hopes of getting people to want to move in because so many are moving out right now.Main point here. DO NOT APPLY HERE, DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE, (at least until new management takes over.(Hopefully soon))
