I was in the area and decided to take a quick visit to Maier with questions about a suspension for my 1968 mustang and not knowing that he was closing up for the day .. Mike still welcomed me in and talked with me for a while about my car and the different set ups he had for various rides .. and let me know he’s there to help build your ride to my needs !! And he insisted that he give me a tour of the shop even though it was now like a half hour after his closing time!! I’m definitely going to get my work done with MMI.

Mike, staff and products are amazing !! I needed a custom shock tower brace for my 68 Mustangs application that would work for a 427W. Mike had a proto-type that fit perfectly. Cant wait for the next project on my car with the team.

Just received my shock tower brace. Ordered it on a Monday morning and delivered Wednesday. Opened the box and was seriously Impressed! Beautiful welds and powder coating. Immediately bolted it on my 1965 Fastback and fits perfectly. Aftermarket parts almost never fit without some work. Cant wait to order leaf springs and the panhard rod kit. Mike and the team at MMI are awesome. I started coming here for parts back in spring 2018 and have always been amazed at how open and helpful these guys are. My car was a total mess when I got it and Ive had to touch almost everything to get it roadworty. As I get closer to getting my car back on the road I find myself calling up Mike because he is always able to drop some crazy knowledge on me for even the simplest things that most of us think we understand. As someone who is self taught car wise having someone who is able to provide quick tips whenever I talk to them is invaluable. Everything Ive bought has been well worth the cash and Im amazed by the quality of the work. Do yourself a favor and go with MMI. Bonus points for the bmx stories as well.

I went over to his shop yesterday to feel it out for my 65 fastback future suspension parts purchases. I knew about the old Maier Racing from my older brother who did a foxbody in the 80s. I was wondering about this shop and how it differs from Maier Racing in Hayward.I walked in on Friday around 11am. I looked around a minute at the displays of parts before an attractive girl came out to greet me. I asked questions and she was very nice and knowledgeable about the business and parts. I was secretly hoping to meet this Mike to feel out what kind of guy he was, and what kind of shop he is running. I had seen videos on the net of this guy and wondered if he was as cool in real life, or if it was an act for the cameras.As I talked to the office girl, I learned she was Mikes wife and she offered a tour of the shop. I was excited to see it. She showed me the famous Mike Maier blue mustangs I had seen race and win, - the reason my interest and potentially my money were on his parts.After looking over the cars we walked towards the front of the shop where two guys were working. One welding and one grinding. I was pleasantly surprised, and even taken back for a moment, when I learned that one of these guys working hard welding in the shop was actually the Mike Maier. I had wondered if he would be a business type guy who sits in a office pushing paper and promoting his stuff, - he is not. He stopped what he was doing, and his wife introduced us. He put aside his work to come talk to me.We went out and looked over my fastback I had just purchased from Texas. He pointed out little improvements I could make. Then he drove my car. We went out and opened it up a little bit, he pointed out handling issues and how to make it perform better. We went back to the shop and talked in the car for awhile. I was very impressed with his knowledge of handling and mustangs in general. This guy is a wealth of information and experience. His knowledge is not second hand, he has actually tried things - failed and tried again until he has got them right on the track.The Maier Racing legacy started by his dad shines on through Mike and his passion for cars. The guy who wrote the review which says, Mike is doesnt care about people could not be more wrong. Mike does not know me, we had never met before, yet he took over an hour of his day to come talk cars with me and did not even sell me anything. I of course am impressed, and will buy all my suspension parts from him now, but could go anywhere else for all he knows. His honesty and knowledge are key to his business success. I wanted to write this review as I felt he truly deserves it, and I hope to see guys like Mike succeed, we need more shops like this in the world. Great job to all that make this shop what it is!
