Tough as nails, add wind and you get beaten & battered. Great course, awesome challenge, all clubs in the bag! Priceless
Beautiful place. Ended up being a perfect venue for my nieces wedding.
One of the most beautiful Golf courses I had played in California. Build around wente vineyard and you can see the grape on the trees. The place is scenic and few holes can be challenging . Just love this Golf course. The green Maintained well and the restaurant is something I would try next time .. heard it is good and must try..
Just started playing golf in 2020 and fell in love. Each year I try to play somewhere nice for my birthday. Last year was Halfmoon Bay. This year I chose Wente. If you come here Mon-Thu and bring 3 other players paying full price, your bday golf is free. I brought my wife and 6 other friends to play.Ive been golfing all over the bay area and I was definitely not ready for the level or service here.Right when we parked our car got out and opened our trunk, the staff rolled up in a golf cart, asked us our tee time and how many players. He gave us a golf cart and a few seconds later brought us a 2nd golf cart. Carts were equipped with GPS and a side mounted cooler. Talk about service. We checked in at the clubhouse and were given a sack of golf balls about 25 for each person (which was included). They also had a cooler filled bottles of water near the staff station for us to take with us. We drove thru the vineyard and up the hill to their grass driving range (no turf here). (halfmoon bay doesnt even have a driving range). Warmed up, headed back down and finished our warm up with some chips and putts. They were ahead of schedule so they let us go a few mins early. We drove to our first tee and there was a staff person explaining everything about the course and how to use the GPS. The tee box yardages are updated every time they change the pin, so its on point. They told us they use the 90 degree cart rule. Which is a slightly modified version, once you enter the fairway you can stay on until you have to exit. There are black and white poles that identify entry and exit points. There is a bar cart going around. The conditions of the greens were amazing, there were many elevation changes, the course variety was awesome, the whole entire place was just a blast to play. The views were spectacular. It was 95 degrees the day we played and I thought we would be roasting but there was a constant breeze which really helped keep us cool, and made the game a bit more interesting. As we were finishing up our putts on the 18th hole, the staff was at our carts wiping down our clubs! Like I said before, service was just top notch. Before playing here I was kind of regretting my decision for choosing Wente because of the heat, and thought maybe I should have played somewhere along the coast instead, but after our experience Im really glad we played here. We will be back for sure.
Service was good. When I parked someone brought a cart to my car immediately 👍 The course was in good condition but some of the greens had areas of bare spots
One of the or maybe the most beautiful public course I played in The Bay Area...
Best public course in the area.
I like the nice scenery and service...
Fun friendly ❤️ beautiful course.
Best golf in Northern California.
Beautiful course with great views. Course is in mint shape
Fantastic. The course was in great shape and the best greens any where. The leaves on the Grape vines are just turning shades of red, yellow, and brown. Our group had a terrific time.
Generally course condition is above average but green condition is so-so and price is way over priced.
This is a serious 18-hole championship golf course. Its always maintained very well. Its scenic and its difficult to play. Theres a lot of elevation changes and no two holes are alike. Its a lot of fun to play this course. And the food at the clubhouse is excellent. This is a semi private course. The public can play but the cost is pretty high. Green fees are $90. Youre better off as a member.
Amazing views. Actually surprised the food was as good as it was. We had a really great waitress that anticipated our needs. Overall a really great place if weather is nice.Great, Sunday Brunch Vibe.
Beautiful golf course and facilities. A must play course on your Bay Area golf bucket list.
This one of the toughest coarses I have ever played. It has a really nice lay out with beautiful views. The greens were pure & fast the way I like them. Everything about that place was awesome.
Great place to golf.
Very nice golf course with god in carts. Staff is very professional and super friendly. The views are amazing at this course.
Never a bad round. Even if I dont play well. Such a great track
Beautiful place!!!!!! I recently went here for a company wide party and the overall experience was great! I opted to play a round of golf instead of wine tasting and games. The course had some killer views and I love how certain holes were hidden within the nearby hills. Plus, the driving range had a killer view of the entire place. As for the staff, they were 10/10. Extremely nice and always looking to help out while still not being all up in your face. aka they seemed genuine which is a major plus! The weather was also amazing. It maxed out at around 95 degrees but I was never drying in the sun (maybe because of all the ice cold beer we were slugging). As for the rest of my experience, the food was good (not great) and you selections were limited but I bet that has to do with our companies decision on what to serve. Also I heard the wine class that was offered as an activity was horrible . I heard it was a power point which would piss me off (note, I did not experience this, my co-workers told me). Overall I had an amazing experience and would definitely jump at a chance to play golf here again!
This golf course is a little on the expensive side. It is very well maintained and very challenging. The range is included in the green fees. There is a restaurant on site and has very good food. The staff are all very friendly and treat you very good. I recommend the golf course and restaurant.
Good food and good service from all staff. Unlike so many other courses in Northern California the course is well kept and the bunkers have raked sand in them. A little disappointed that the greens were being hollow tined but the course apologized and offered us a 50% discount for our next visit.
The greens are not in good shape at all
What a great place. If I could I would go straight back.there tomorrow. It is the most interest and in some places most spectacular golf course I have played. The elevation changes are awesome and the course was in great condition. So interesting playing around vineyards.Played there whilst on holidays and just picked it through google reccomended coures in the area.Could not fault anything about the course or clubhouse.Staff were great and very freindly. Very helpful.
This course is beautiful. Fair and challenging for experienced and new players. However, the carts are terrible! This is a hilly course and they have ignored their cart fleet for far too long! Every course in northern Cali that charges that much have a decent fleet. COME ON WENTE!
Incredible golf course, great staff, a must if youre in the area. Finish your day with a nice lunch and wine-tasting next door.
Great conditions; Challenging course
Ive always believed this is the finest public golf course in the Bay Area. Whenever I had the choice, I played here. I love the many elevated tee boxes; these are some of the most spectacular views in golf. Holes 1, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 14 are all considerably elevated, makes you feel like a pro when you hit it sweet. The blue tee box on 10 is easily the prettiest view in the Bay Area. In fact one of the beverage cart girls was proposed to up there with a candlelight dinner! And now that the golf carts have GPS and keep track of your pace of play, (and the marshalls actually enforce a 4 1/2 hour pace of play) there really isnt anything left to complain about. (Unless youre one of those slow guys who like a 5-6 hour round of golf. Well, let me just tell you something - Nobody likes you. Go away and take up a different sport.)
My friend works here
Great time. The course is in tremendous shape with breathtaking views. Staff was top notch. Spend the money, its worth it!
Just had daughters wedding there. The place the personal was awsome. I will have great memories for ever.
Wide fairways, great food.
Beautiful golf course. Excellent wine and food at the Grill and the Vineyard Table restaurants.
Nice area. Expensive wine. No food for eating outside but dont allow outside food. Apparently our bread and cheese was inappropriate (we were eating on the grass) and they had to inspect our cooler (we were drinking their wine by the glass). Still a nice place with music but I cant recommend based on their policies.
Nice golf course can be pricey. Looks for the deals
Great
Get ready for the most enjoyable shark attack you will ever experience ! Although masterpiece may be an overemployed word in some circles, it can certainly be applied to Greg Normans design work here at Wente Vineyards. This wonderfully scenic and at times dramatically challenging golf course plays through the vines, rolling hills and grasslands of the beautiful Livermore Valley.
My only experience at Golf was here. The course was nice and very big. Good thing we had a cart. The wine here is quite tasty too.
Great service and food! The day was perfect.
Fun course and very windy!
Golfing in the fall at Wente is like being on vacation. Great staff and service.
Awesome course, especially in the evening. Great course to play.
What a beautiful setting for golf, stunning views through the vineyard and reasonableCharges. Loved the entire experience from golf to lunch.
Very nice course. Good food and awesome service by all staff
The best golf course in the Bay Area. What a great treat to play a course designed by Greg Norman. Being surrounded by Wentes vineyards can be fun, and challenging.
The restaurant was nice with patio seating.
Consistent lunch menu. Great staff.
Challenging golf course, beautiful vineyards, grill is fantastic
Lovely romantic spot for brunch on a Sunday and maybe catch some golf players.
All Time great place.
Great views, ambiance and food to host events
Great place for golfing in Livermore.
Food was just ok. Nothing to write home about.
The Grill has absolutely delicious food!
We love this course, lots of variations, surrounded by vineyards, quite challenging, though. But, fun, fun, fun!
