Flat out refused to replace a broken axle under warranty. Their lifetime warranty is apparently the “lifetime of the part” even though that’s not specified on the box, nor is it sold that way. Won’t shop at advanced again unless I absolutely have toTo reply to their response: First off, you’re not sorry at all. If you were sorry, then you would work with me to resolve this issue. And so far you flat out won’t. If I call you, you’re going to give me the run around just like your call center did. Limited lifetime warranty based on manufacturer defects. Does that include being on the car for less than 200 miles and then failing again? Seems like a manufacturer defect to me. Warranty my part and I’ll gladly take this down.

This was my first time at this location. I had purchased a battery for my car online the night before and didn’t know what to expect. In a matter of a couple minutes they had me looked up in the system and my battery on the counter. Manager was assisting the tech who was processing the order and made it a point to introduce himself. Besides being cordial with me, I could tell by the way he treated his coworker the sincerity and good team of people. I mean, that’s what it’s about. I can buy a battery anywhere and chose this location because it was somewhat close to home. Ultimately if good people are taking care of you with business than we don’t care so much about small price differences or other things. Overall, good prices, online shopping and pickup and good people to do business with. I’ll keep coming back until it changes. And hopefully it doesn’t. Great experience.

Ordered a part that was shipped to the store from the warehouse, it arrived and was a used drive axle upon inspection. Advance apparently doesn’t inspect or check items before calling a customer and telling them it has arrived as the box was clearly opened, very beat up and dirty. After driving there and having this experience I ordered the part online and I’m having it shipped directly to my home from another vendor “NAPA”. Highly disappointed with Advance Auto and I won’t utilize them in the future for parts orders.
The staff was very helpful and professional regarding our faulty battery. We appreciated the time spent explaning differences of brands and one best meets our needs. The young tech who installed our windshield wipers with the help of Eric was a delight to be around.

I went online and purchased a new battery for my wife’s 2012 Scion XD. When I went to the store and asked them to install it (since i was standing right next to the sign that said free “basic” installation of battery with purchase. BTW, it doesn’t get easier to change a battery than on a Scion. I asked Myra if she could install it, she started whining. Then she says that they don’t have the “special” tool to do it (aka a 10mm socket).After that, I didn’t want an incompetent person like Myra touching my car. Only reason I gave her two stars versus one is because she was at least smart enough to get me the correct battery (maybe that was flat out luck)
Staff is very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. Were able to find what I needed. They didnt have the battery I needed in stock, but gave me a discount to pick it up at another location. If they only had an app or something to check stock or inventory. Much better than the Dramazone competitor in the area.

Good service, my only complaint is the staff could use more training in the tool department. I was looking for a inverted torx socket and was told they didnt have any. But ended up finding it in a special section behind the counter and had to point it out to the clerk. Prices are fair.

I ordered a part and it gave me a confirmation number that the order was placed and it should available for in store pick up. Went to the store and the lady at the front didnt seemed to understand why it let me place an order and take my money on the spot but yet no part in store at all. When asked why would it let me place an order and drive 25 min out of my way to pick up the part and the part wasnt available she just stated that she didnt know nothing. When asked if they could call another store she just stated to say well your money will be back after pending charges fall threw. I work customer service and I know how the pending charges work. Absolutely zero customer service and I will no longer do business with advance auto parts especially the one in Plymouth road Livonia.

I have been going to store #8782 since I moved to Michigan from Florida 3 years ago. Renaldo is the stores manager and he has gone out of his way on several occasions to prove customer service is his number one goal. I now drive out of my way to purchase from this store due to the excellent customer service I have received not only from management but from all employees. Its always nice when a manager remembers your name and is even willing to take care of you over the phone. Renaldo is the type of management a company should strive to move up in the rankings, hopefully someone with the authority to do so is reading this! Anyway, long story short... if you want a no questions asked (customer first) experience when working on your vehicles this is the store Id recommend.- Caleb

HORRIBLE; 18 yr. old daughter stopped to get wiper blades, They told her the only ones they had where also the most expensive that they carried. She bought them and had them install them on the car. a week later one of them fell apart going down the road, she was able to stop and pick it up but when she tried to get it replaced, she could not find the reciept they would not do anything to help her and where very Rude to her. I stopped at the store to try to get things straitened out they told me that there was no way that they could tell if it was one of there products, I took one of the blades off the shelf put it on the counter and told them that I could tell the difference between that one and there competitors, there General Manager Jeremy told me to leave his store or he was going to call the police. Real good customer service.I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ADVANCE AUTO AGAIN/

Walked in, the employee sighed, and i asked him if he was dissapointed and he said slightly and then said someone else is working on a car and theyll be back soon. That specific employee was rude and disrespectful. Ive been here before and other employees have been nice, but thats very dissapointing.

Im writing this on behalf of my husband because I was seriously annoyed at this stores management of the order he placed. We needed a new distributor cap for the car, something my husband thought he could do himself, so he ordered the part, which they said would be in by the end of the day. By closing, no call had come and when he called to check they said deliveries were delayed due to weather. Fair enough, but then the part didnt arrive for the entire next day, and again, we werent called with an update. The next day my husband decided to have his car towed to the shop and called auto parts to cancel the order. By now this is the third day after the order, and when he called the store they said something to the effect of oh yeah, its been here two days, are you going to come and pick it up? My husband pointed out that he now had no car to drive there with, since our other car was out of town with me for the weekend, so he wanted to cancel the order. To add insult to injury, he was now told that to cancel the order he had to bring his credit card back in before they could refund his money. A week and a half later we still havent got our money back.
