Best source for professional camera gear and accessories. Im always immediately greeted by somebody very knowledgeable and eager, and on the rare occasion they dont have what Im looking for, they either have a alternative or have no problem ordering what I need! This place is like a toy store, I always make sure to walk up and down every single aisle because theres always something I dont realize I need until I see it!

Absolutely phenomenal customer service! Every time I called for my order, I got to deal with the same employee each time named Frank and he was absolutely awesome to deal with. He led me through the process every step of the way, was patient, polite and made me feel as if my order was his order with how he prioritized it. We need more stores like Pro Cam with employees like Frank, good customer service is hard to find nowadays and in this industry its even harder. A wide selection of rental, new, and used equipment. They have medium format digital to point and shoots. Staff members are photographers/videographers that offer support beyond initial purchase. They can be busy sometimes, but frees up quickly.

I was in the area and was happy to find an ACTUAL camera shop! I had a few technical questions regarding my camera and viewing/converting images for better printing, and they had the answers immediately! They have a ton of video and photo equipment as well, so if you have questions or need some new gear then please stop in to keep ACTUAL camera shops around!

I was finally ready to purchase a camera to take photos and videos for my business and I knew Procam was my next step - to talk to the pros and validate what I should purchase. I called Procam first and spoke with Jee who took his time, listened to my desired uses of a camera as well as the advice I had received from friends and online research. He recommended some options and clearly stated what was available and what I might have to order - he was not just trying to push Procams current inventory. I had an appointment cancellation later that day and raced to Procam to meet Jee and see his recommendations. Again, he took his time and thoroughly helped me make the right purchase for what I wanted to do with one device, outfitted me with sd cards and an equipment bag to fit it all. I am looking forward to learning with my new camera & lenses and will definitely be a return customer!

Ordered online and had the item shipped to Colorado. Cannot express how nice it is to use a camera store other than the big 2 and not have them be shady. I attempted to order first from AbesOfMaine but got the shady run around I had heard about ( Sir, did you want the USA lens with the warranty? Sir that is not in stock even though our website says it is, etc... all things I had heard, but I figured I would give them a shot anyway). I found ProCam, again because I wanted to support the mom and pop shops, not the big 2 just because the mom and pops have had it a lot harder. Order placed on Sunday for overnight shipping for a lens that showed in stock. Got an email Monday that the lens had shipped UPS overnight as ordered, and I just took it out of the box. I would say I got a pretty sharp copy as this is a crop from 100% of a shot at 105mm handheld with a Sony A7R II

Edit: FINALLY got another notification at 12:57 am on Saturday that package was received at the main Detroit hub. So delivery is set for Monday, 5 days after I ordered. AGAIN, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON EXPEDITED SHIPPING WITH THIS STORE! There is no excuse for not shipping this package on Thursday. 1 star rating stays unless I get a full refund of the $24 shipping cost. This review may be edited depending on the outcome. I ordered an open box XT4 kit early Thursday morning before they opened. I paid $24 for USPS 2 day shipping. Several hours later at 2:58 pm they FINALLY printed a shipping label. That’s where the updates stopped. So I called the Livonia MI store to see if it actually got shipped (this was over 24 hrs since this label was created). 30 + hrs since I ordered. The guy said usps picks up by 3 pm and it may have not gotten out. LAME EXCUSE since they had several hrs to get it ready from the time I ordered it. But, let’s fast forward. He says it should have gone out today then, Friday. And that tracking would update later on. It’s 11pm and still no update on tracking. Which means it didn’t go out today either. So here’s another camera store that still hasn’t learned anything about online sale customer service. I paid for 2 day shipping. I’m now looking at 5-6 days if I’m lucky. Do you think that’s fair? I want my $24 back or you can lose a $2000 order, plus another $500 because I was gonna get that open box ATEM Mini Pro next week. If this was an issue with the leasing company then you need to tell me and do not offer express shipping on those orders. In summary, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE AND EXPECT THE SHIPPING YOU PAID FOR. If you need it fast, go to Amazon, Adorama or Best Buy.

There is a limited selection of camera stores in the Metro Detroit area so this is my go to store! But, the customer service started going downhill and I began looking for what I need online! However, Jee changed the narrative! He was polite, nice, and informative. He went out of his way to grab a used camera, add a battery, sd card, and attach the display lens to let me visually see what he was explaining to me. He was patient and that’s important when you’re self-taught! I appreciate his awesome customer service and because of him I left out with a new camera, lens, sleeves, and a roll of seamless paper.

Some of the grouchy old staff can come off as condescending and not very helpful. Did not feel very welcome here and I drove a long way to check the place out. I got a great deal on a used camera I bought here for less than I could find it online anywhere, which was great, but some of their prices are outrageous. Wanted 50 dollars for a third party battery that you can buy online for less than 20 bucks. Used prices are mostly really good though. I would recommend this place but the sales people should be a little more kind. The trade in offers are a bit insulting but thats normal for these kinds of stores lol

Wont be dealing with them no more. Over priced, rude, condescending staff members, grumpy old men, just not welcoming. I went in there acting like I new to photography/ videography and they was trying to get me to buy stuff I didnt need and just telling me anything just to make a sale. Only one person knew what he was talking about but he wasnt helping customers in which he needed to be a salesman. They need new training and better pricing because amazon going to take over. But dont shop here just do your research and shop Amazon

This is my first real camera, I didnt know what I needed or how to explain my photography style, I went in and was greeted by Craig who helped me make a fantastic choice in a camera!! I showed him a few of my cellphone pics and he knew exactly what options to show me.Ive been taking pictures all day with my new Nikon D5600. I recommend going in to see these guys because they are real photographers who know the language. We wont ever be back in the store. Drove to the store after a pleasant phone call with the salesperson. When I arrived I asked for the salesperson and was ready to spend a lot of money there until I asked a simple question.I asked them about the return policy and asked what if I find out after I take the camera home that it is gray market/non USA (that would be the only reason I wouldnt keep the product). They told me they dont sell gray market... My reply what if I unpack it,. call the manufacture and find out its gray market? Would you still charge a restocking fee?Their answer was yes I wouldve to pay a restocking fee. Then continued to say we dont sell black market. He even through in I swear to God, we dont sell gray market products.Makes you wonder why some of the competitors have a better return policy. Im getting my with a much better feeling somewhere else.Stay away!

Great place a true photographer haven. The staff, swear knows everything about cameras videography and more. This is expected from a specialty shop but the level of care and concern is rare these days and shouldnt be underappreciated. I love this place and will return for all my camera needs. But they have a lot more than just cameras, they have mics, lighting stands and just so much more for all your needs. Of you are just starting off, go here. If you are an internet go here. If you are a professional go here. What Im saying is you should go here. You wont regret it.

Worked with ProCam online and didn’t have any issues. Worked with Erick who was very responsive to my questions. Ended up switching my camera from D750 to D780 and had no issues with a refund or getting charged any restocking fees( I didn’t open the camera). I like that they put seal stickers kn their new products warning about restocking, but its nice to know no one just bought a camera used it and returned it. Will continue with them through website. No complains great service.

I went in there because I seen there truck on main Street. I didnt know what to expect but was surprised the gentleman I was speaking with was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was possibly looking to buy online before this visit. But after walking on the store and talking with him I will be buying my camera from them. PROCAM Photo and Video is quite a place. You walk in and every square inch of the store is being utilized. To be clear it is done very tastefully. Walking around is not difficult with plenty of isle space. All products are laid out well and mostly separated based on what you are looking for which is nice. The store itself is a pleasing size, that is to say it is quite large. There is a good flow to the place. I did not get a chance to look at everything but I explored for some time and they have a lot of variety in gear. Yes, they have expensive gear, but they also have plenty of affordable options. I found their price points to be very reasonable. When I visited today the staff all looked very professional and sounded quite knowledgeable. I personally did not interact with them too much but I would have felt confident asking more questions then I did. They have been in this location for 5 years according to the gentleman I spoke with. It was a nice environment and I look forward to returning for all my photography needs.

I’ve been shopping at ProCam Livonia for some time and I wasn’t happy with my most recent experience. I made a $1500 purchase using my bank issued debit card. I was asked for my ID (which is understandable for credit purchases, but I entered my pin). I was then asked to see the card after entering my pin. It made me uncomfortable because why the extra security measure and it makes me wonder if this policy is applied to ALL customers that shop at ProCam. Uncomfortable experience, won’t be returning

After both renting and buying a lens from this location, I only have positive things to say so far. The service is excellent with helpful staff that will go out of their way to make a customer happy. Before buying my most recent lens, I had called for a price before stopping in. Unfortunately, once I arrived at the store, they didnt have a new lens in stock. While that could have been a problem, Joe offered me a great deal on a used lens in its place. I cant complain about that. Awesome place!

Updating my five-star review of this place. I like[d] this place a lot. Good inventory and [some] of the staff [were] helpful. It always seems busy when I’m in here, which shows me other people value the place too; at least for the inventory.However, these guys punt on camera problems a lot! Staff is not as attentive as I expected after my first great experience here. They are easily distracted and won’t help solve problems.If you’re looking to be just a dollar sign come to Procam! Id never been here before this visit, and I will DEFINITELY be back!! The sales staff was extremely helpful and friendly without being overbearing, always around to answer my questions but allowing me to do my own thing. An older gentleman helped me to find an amazing LED light kit, for literally hundreds of dollars less than online (I checked while in the store). I am not a novice photographer, but I wouldnt call myself an expert either, and this guy helped me get exactly what I needed for the next stage in my photographic career. Thanks again!!!!!

Discovered this store through a photo group I belong to. I am a professional restarting a long dormant business and have found great service and also very good workshops to be available here. There is a very good selection of product and also some used items as well. A full shooting area in the rear serves as a great venue for the workshops. I have purchased Nikon equipment there and the advice and service is excellent. I deal primarily with Shannon but all the sales people are knowledgeable as well and the owner, George is very friendly and accessible.

When I die forget about going to heaven, I want to come here instead!! So I typically hate specialty type stores because their almost always way over priced, under stocked so they have to special order” everything(which I could have just done myself from the comfort of home w/o the added cost) and the so called expert knowledge they all boast to offer usually falls way short of your expectations and comes at the expense of you feeling stupid for inconveniencing them with your frivolous questions. Well I can happily report that’s not the case here by a long shot.We all hear about the brick & mortar retailers falling victim to the big bad internet and instinctively we all seem to feel slightly guilty as we’re scrolling through Amazons deals of the day. What isn’t mentioned about most of these businesses that lost in the war to online shopping is how they failed to meet their customers needs as the retail industry evolves which brings me back to my review and my point. This place figured out the secret to survival by not just relying on sales alone to bring people thru the doors. They draw people in by offering many great services that require personal interaction like valuable training opportunities, manufacturer rebates and deals not available online, they offer certified repairs and can preform your routine maintenance needs, they offer equipment rentals and most importantly they willingly offer in-depth knowledge and advice that can instantly make you a better photographer the second you walk back out the doors if you take it. To say there inventory is impressive would be a huge understatement. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want or need jam packed ceiling to floor(literally) of high quality merchandise. As for pricing, there’s nothing I’ve seen that’s grossly inflated or unfairly priced. They also buy and sell quality used high end equipment at fair prices. I couldn’t find a negative thing to say about this place if I tried and I doubt you will either. Like I said they found the secret to customer satisfaction.

Better off going online, doing your own research and purchasing equipment off of amazon.This store has lost a customer for life and I will tell everyone to never shop here.Store is ran by crooks. Anytime I have come in I have older guy workers trying to sell big ticket items I don’t need. They will try and take advantage of you.I came in with no camera experience looking for a great beginner camera for my fourth time in the store. They sold me a used camera which I was fine with. However, no one notified me that they don’t take returns on used equipment; especially on a $1000 purchase.Extremely rude to me when I expressed my frustration and confusion. The guy basically told me it was a personal problem.In hindsight, I should of asked about their policy on used equipment. My main frustration comes from lack of customer service, and the guy basically telling me buzz off.

This is probably the best camera store around. ProCam has a large assortment of equipment that is difficult to find [in-store] anywhere else in the area. The staff here are great; they are professional, friendly, insightful, and knowledgeable. The location is clean. They also have a large studio area and host photography classes often. The store is always well stocked, and staff is always very helpful, regardless of your skill level or interests. I’ve been visiting this store for years, and always enjoy the trip in.The store has all manner of photo and video equipment, from a wide variety of brands including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, manfrotto, Peak Design, and so many more. On the downside, a lot of their consumables are only offered through ProMaster, and you cannot find alternatives here.There’s also a studio for rent, but I have not used it to comment.

For the most part I could ignore the usual being ignored when they profiled me as someone they werent going to make a sale to. However, my most recent visits to the store and the pretty bad customer service has had me steamed for a few days now and I feel compelled to recount my experience in detail for those that dont mind a lengthy read.A few weeks ago I called the store looking for a GH4. Over the phone I was told that they had none. I stopped by the store a couple of hours later because I was in the area and they had two in a display case. Inventory mistakes happen so I let it go, and the guy that helped me was friendly.This past Sunday, 3/8/20, I went in around noon to see what video heads they had in stock. I noticed they had a Benro S7 on display but I didnt see a box on the floor. I asked an employee, thin older white male, if they had any more of the heads in a box. When I went to show him what exactly I was talking about he stopped and went to help the customers that had just walked in the door.So I found someone else to ask, and he confirmed it was their last one. After talking down the price because it was the display, I ask him if he could remove the cup adapter from it for me. It was wrenched on pretty tightly, and so he insisted thats how it came. He asked another employee sitting at the counter left of the entrance who insisted that it came attached and could not be taken off.After I read to him the official Benro description for the head that said the piece was optional, and showed him pictures of it without it mounted, he proceeded to take me to the video tripods to show me how other heads sit in legs for that. I had to find the Benro ad on youtube and show him that they mounted the tripod to a slider by 3/8 stud before he asked someone else to assist in taking it off. All it required was leverage from a set of pliers.I shouldnt have to fight just to verify that a discontinued display model isnt damaged even more than it already was. For the most part Im an easy customer. I know what I want and I give you my money. It sucks that you cant con me into buying things I dont need because your expertise does nothing for me, but as long as you have in stock for what I want you get my money. I dont want to drive to Ann Arbor every time I impulse buy a new piece of gear and I dont want to wait for shipping to play with my toy. Unfortunately you carry the things Dodd Camera doesnt otherwise Id just buy it in Cleveland. But please stop treating me like a second rate guest when I enter your store because I look like someone from Detroit proper.

If you go to this store for cameras, they seem to know their stuff. But do NOT get anything from this guy Shawn. He does not follow through with his special orders that he promises will arrive to the store from a different store within days.Kyle seemed really nice!

They have everything you need from a beginners level to Pro.The Staff is very nice and courteous and the manager Shannon is very helpful and respectful.I had a very nice experience with them. Stopped in to browse. Sales people were all over me, even after I said I wanted to just look around. I probably would have made a couple purchases if not for being so pressured. I had to get out of there quick. Seems to be a nice store with great stock, but like I said, I was too pressured and left.
