I needed struts and shocks and also got a tune up on my 2011 Nissan Frontier. It was a big overdue job. The folks at Straight Automotive and Tire Center made it as easy and painless as possible. They were ready when I arrived and completed the work ahead of schedule. They were also communicative and helpful. Will be returning agin!

They called me back immediately after missing my call, and had me come right in to take a look at my problem. I have spent most of my adult life living in cities without a car so am not the most skilled car owner. They were so nice, and explained what they were doing and why. 10/10 would recommend and will go back.

I took my truck here for some much needed repairs this week. Nick was very respectful and courteous through the entire process. He was able to give me a quote that was accurate and had a great turn around time. Nick also answered all of my questions professionally, and in an easy to understand manner. We took my Nissan Altima in to have the air conditioner repaired earlier than planned and they had it finished the next morning. The a/c is working perfectly and we also got a warranty on parts and labor and the cost was less than an estimate we had from another shop. We will be using Straight Automotive in the future.

I contacted Straight Automotive on Wednesday afternoon and was able to get an appointment for Thursday morning. Nick put my car on the rack, saw that screws from a portion of the undercarriage had come loose and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. He was also kind enough to check the air in my tires and didnt want to charge me for anything. My father was a mechanic; that is exactly the kindness he would have extended. How wonderful to find a business with heart, especially in these difficult times. I absolutely will return to Straight Automotive for any future car repairs! I just moved to Lockhart from another state about a month ago. After shopping at Walmart my car would not start. A few months ago my car would not start and a towing service said it was the starter. The mechanic diagnosed it as a dead battery and replaced the battery. So I thought this time it was the starter. I took my 2013 Chevy Sonic to Straight Automotive & Tire Center after seeing that it was highly recommended almost unanimously. I was expecting a repair bill of several hundred dollars. They traced the problem to a faulty keyless entry transmitter battery. The bill was $75.I struck gold by finding this shop on my first try. They are personable, talented, professional and extremely competent. I will recommend this shop to friends and family. I am so happy to have found such honest and competent mechanics in my new home town.

This place is simply THE BEST! I have never been happier with the work done - they truly went way beyond the call of duty and did a few things I never thought of (which I needed ... like AC coolant.) I could go on and on but honestly, these guys have integrity and do GREAT work. I had to drive an hour to get to them and wouldnt hesitate the next time I need any kind of service. Nothing like being able to trust your mechanic and walk away with an awesome job at a great price. I am a happy woman :)

I had gone to another business for what i thought was my wheel bearings and they replaced something else and the noise was still present. Then i went to Straight Automotive and they confirmed what i knew in my heart was the problem. So after money that i didnt need to spend some where else i now know where im going for any and all repairs on my car. And the price was fair.

Always gives a fair price. If he gives you a quote, that is what you pay. If theres any changes hell let you know ahead. A little slower than some big shops but they are honest with you.

I Had my front brakes replaced today at Straight Automotive. The team there is awesome in all respects of this transaction so I am happy to report and post an excellent customer experience. It was easy. I called in and discussed my issue and was instructed to come at 10:30am which I did. I was met in parking lot and was promptly dropped off at my home nearby. I was contacted when job completed in a few hours and the work done was top notch. Also, the final cost was exactly as quoted, and it was done in the time frame specified. 5 Star Service in my book and will proudly recommend to others. Straight Automotive Team is Easy to do business with and I will definitely be a returning customer.

Had a 2008 Prius that we took to Straight for an oil change. It was running fine when we took it to them. When we picked up it started dying and the dash board lit up with warning lights. They sold us a new battery (not the battery pack for hybrids). Gave it to us at cost but did not do a diagnostic first. When it still did not help they did a diagnostic after the fact. Our large battery was showing in need of replacement. Since they don’t work on hybrids we had to find another automotive repair and have it towed.The report came back that oil level was over filled.Over filling engine can cause oil intrusion in exhaust causing engine damage. Over filling any oil tank can cause damage not just on hybrids. When I went to Straight Automotive and talked to Nick senior he would not take any responsibility for the overfilling of our oil level therefore causing engine damage. We are out the expense of new battery, towing charges, oil change, the diagnostic done by the new automotive place, and our car. Very dissatisfied with their work and unwillingness in their part of this fiasco.

So glad that I found Straight Automotive! They were reasonably priced and did a great job. Thank you for getting me back on the road!!! See you for all my future repair needs.

This shop was recommended by TWO different people for replacing the rear main seal in my vehicle. I’m new to Lockhart and really appreciate how nice Nick was. I also had my clutch replaced, front and rear brakes replaced, and a few belts switched out. I found Straight automotive when I first moved to lockhart 3 years ago when I needed some brake work done and I have returned to them for other work needed on my car ever since. Been trying to figure out what was wrong with my truck for a year and a half. Went to multiple places, none fixed it. I will not go to another shop.. ever.. as long as I live here. Ive had several dealings with this establishment and will definitely continue to do so. Im 42 years old and I can safely say that this is the only automotive shop that has ever earned my trust. They are good people that take the time to listen to you, then explain things in an understandable and down to earth way without making you feel like an idiot. They have always been completely upfront and fair about their costs/options/turnaround time, always done a complete and thorough job, and on occasion even done some extra small work that they noticed needed attention at no additional cost. We were just traveling thru area when we got to our campsite and realized our tow car had serious brake issues (metal on metal) and a bad wheel bearing. Although we had to extend our stay 3 more days, Nick at Straightline fixed our car within a day and we were on the road again. Would highly recommend this repair shop for travelers or residents living in the area.

Father son duo. They seem like good honest trustworthy people. They werent sure how long it would take to do the brakes and rotors on my car. And without hesitation one of the owners let me borrow one of their vehicles till the work was done on my car. I recently moved to Lockhart and had some work done at the local Firestone. HUGE REGRET;( I paid $475 for them to do the brakes and rotors all said done they didnt do the rotors and the brakes subpar. Nick and his father put ceramic brakes and turn my rotors for less than half the cost Firestone charge me for half the work! I would 100% recommend this place to friends and family!!!

I have made the trip twice from Austin to Lockhart so Nick, Jr., could work on my 2002 Yukon. He does great work and his prices beat the heck out of the quotes I get in Austin. He and his Dad run a quality shop. And my Yukon runs like it had a swim in the fountain of youth.

A little over a month later I am still very happy with Nicks (Jr) work. I brought my car in with complaints of vibration at highway speeds and after some scheduling mishaps had it inspected. Nick called me up and started our conversation off with, I hope youre not going to be mad at me but... lol!He had found a plethora of issues with my front/rear suspension and tires. All of which you can expect to wear out around 105k miles. Especially with some spirited driving peppered in over the years. He had an estimate ready for me and even some options to go with if I didnt want to fix everything.When I came in to pick up the car I asked him if he would be comfortable giving me a complete list of parts for me to shop around for aftermarket parts for him to install instead of OEM replacements. He was, he wrote down everything and I was on my way.A week later I was back with all the parts, most of which I were adjustable in more than one way and I left my car in Nicks hands. There was a little confusion with some of the parts since he had never dealt with them before and the in-box instructions were not very clear.After a little over a week with my car he had everything installed and aligned well. The couple of times I checked in on the process he was adamant that he could do it and that he wanted to be sure it was done right, he just needed a little time. He did it and Im certain it was done right with how the car drives.If you have performance oriented suspension parts Nick now has the skills to get them installed properly and more quickly. The prices were fair, good even. They were very friendly, open and honest with me about everything. Whenever my car needs something fixed if its something they say they can do Ill bring it to the Nicks at Straight Automotive!
