They grinded down a stump, removed a tree that was pushing against a fence, tore out ugly old brick work, and replaced all of it with grass. They went the extra mile and gave me specific instructions, without me asking, on how to care for the grass which saved me a bunch of YouTube videos. 5/5

We’ve now used JLC Landscaping for a landscaping redesign and a French drain installation and Jason and his crew did an excellent job! Jason takes his time explaining the pros and cons of each design decision and answers literally every question you could think of. I’ll be using them for any future work and I highly suggest you give them a try!

Poor service, high prices and nobody really cares

I searched high and low for a quality, yet, affordable landscape company to maintain my many bushes, trees and palms to no avail. Finally, a friend recommended JLC and I couldnt be happier. At first, the quote alone made me happy, then the organization and follow through, then the actual service. Good bye yard work days!

We used JLC to completely redesign our lawn. We specifically asked for plants and flowers that stay short. We spent over 12k with this company and only 6 months later the lawn looks terrible! Its not symmetrical, the flowers he recommended are 3 feet tall now. We have one of the ugliest lawns in the community. The agreement included a few points that he never delivered, like pouring concrete under the tiles in front of the door, and a follow up meeting to explain maintenance. Just go with another company, they are overpriced and the quality of the work is very low, and from our experience, they dont know plants well enough to recommend what you need.

AVOID this company. We used JLC for several years and saw their level of service steadily decline. Over the past three years we have seen employees mutilate plants which we had asked JLC never to touch, and employees fail to pick up debris in our yard, but simply move it aside to gain entrance to our back yard. JLC also failed to trim several large bushes, which they had agreed to trim when we first hired them. Ultimately we had to pay another service several hundred dollars to clean up the overgrown bushes. Additionally, we were cursed at on at least three occasions by JLC employees. We overheard one employee tell another Dont pick up that piece of trash. If theyre too lazy to do it were not going to. The owner, Jason, seemed unconcerned and his manager, Clay Pratt, was belligerent and argumentative. Hire JLC only if youre trying to win an award for Worst yard in the neighborhood.

I was hesitant about hiring a lawn maintenance service in the first place, but now I am SO glad that I did. I considered a lot of companies before hiring JLC, and chose them because they include more work (even tree trimming) each time they come, for a better price quote than I got from any of the other companies I contacted.I thought I would hate paying another bill, but it does not cost nearly as much as I expected, and now I am practically thrilled to pay it because it gives us back our much-needed weekends, without having yard work hanging over our heads. Plus, even though we were making ourselves miserable trying to keep our yard looking good, it always looked like crap. It now looks 100 times better than it ever did before.Also, they landscapers they sent me are really friendly and professional. This last time, I noticed that they even picked up some recycling that had blown all over my back porch the night before, even though it was not in the area where they were working. How great is that?
