Nice place serving some of the best ice cream in the Chicagoland area. They have s large amount of different flavors out in the open and a few more in the refrigerator. If theres something that you really like and dont see it..! ask because theres a good chance that it might be in the freezer area. The place could definitely need some updates, like a water fountain to drink water and public bathrooms, to wash your hands. They also claim to make the ice cream in house, but even if they dont make it here..! its still very good. They have a limited amount of tables inside and outside for you to seat and enjoy you favorite scoop of ice cream. I thought that their prices were slightly high for the neighborhood. But if you dont have any competitors and youre getting a good stream of customers.. why not?

Perfect in every way. Best hard serve around. Worth the 20 min drive each way :) Free city parking lot next to it. Seating inside and out. Tons of flavors. They let you try them. Don’t see the flavor you want? They’ll get it out of freezer if they have it. A little under $10 for two huge two scoop cones in homemade waffle cones. Great prices!!!

Although it was very hot inside the store, much hotter than outside, which is odd for an ice cream place, it was still really good. I bought a waffle taco ice cream. It was coffee ice cream with espresso chocolate chips on top. It was very good and I wish we had something like that near me. The staff was also decent.

We LOVE this place!!! It is so cute and quaint with so many creative options!!! Every employee is always so kind to my kiddos - you almost feel like you step back in time (In the best way)

What a nice place so friendly and nice. I think they have a great selection of flavors and awesome staff. Here on Sat may 16th the two young women working were great. They really made an art of everything. Its a great place. Gotta keep those cool creations coming lol.

Great ice cream with a 50/60s feel. Just wish they played music from that era. There was no music at all.

Super Nice employees, super low prices, super unique selection of flavors, and super delicious ice cream. This is literally the only place I go for ice cream now. I live within walking distance of a cold stone and yet I choose to make the 20 minute drive to cool creations for their ice cream. The best part?Is that they even have a variety of frozen dog treats. Highly recommend these guys

I live nowhere near this place, but I Love Cool Creations, & have traveled for it, but I prefer it in my neighborhood. . I am so sad, disappointed, & upset that they took the one by My House away, (in Whiting)!!! I used to take my kids to the one by My House when they were little, and they still remember. . I love the different flavors they have, my favorite was butter pecan, & now I want to take my last son, (Who is 14, & Loves ice cream, like Me), But if I want too I have to go all the way to Lockport, because it is the closest one. . Please, Please, Please bring it back to Whiting!!!😞

Awesome spot to grab a scoop! There is a wide variety of flavors and they are generous with the amount of ice cream they give you! The girls working were extremely nice and allowed me to try several samples of different flavors as I was feeling especially indecisive on the night of my visit! Highly recommend!

They have the best superman ever the company they get it from uses blue raspberry flavored ice cream instead of blue moon so its blue raspberry vanilla cherry and is amazing the serving sizes are way bigger then anywhere else even tho the sizes say 1 scoop 2 scoop 3 scoop its not just 1 or 2 or 3 scoops they pack the cup full of ice cream ive been to alot of local ice cream places and they short the heck out of you cool creations ice cream is amazing and you get plenty bang for your buck

Im almost 12, and I love going here. The workers are so nice and they always have good service. Never once have I had issues with Cool Creations. Its a great place to stop by in the summer when all different canal day activities open. The only issue I can really say is the long lines. But, recommend 100%.

My family and I have been enjoying Cool Creations ice cream for over 20 years. The ice cream is fantastic, and it is not over priced like some of the chain stores. The store gives the feel of an old fashioned ice cream store with friendly service. The ice cream cakes are fantastic. My son requests one every year for his birthday.

Old school style ice cream shop. They offer hand scooped ice cream in waffle cones or cups, and also offer blizzard style ice cream mix. Nothing really stand out here, everything was good but nothing any different from any other ice cream shop. Id go back for sure.

This place is great for homemade ice cream and waffle cones. The flavors served in the round, plastic tubs are made on site, the ones served in cardboard are brought it. Be sure to sample a few flavors and ask them to split your scoops between 2 complementary flavors.

Really cute neighborhood ice cream shops! Its seasonal, so be sure to plan a visit during the warmer months. They have gelato in addition to the classic hand-scoop ice cream and soft serve. There are always so many flavors to choose from.

I like coming to Cool Creations because they have so many awesome flavors there. My favorite flavor is called Pikachu. It is yellow, and has chocolate chips in it. It is so good. My little brothers love when I take them there.

My experience is usually awesome but today got same as normal waffle cone butter pecan on bottom butter cashew on top but the ice cream wasnt even over the edge of cone usually over the top excellent portions just wish everyone was trained correctly always different sizes and that sucks today was totally ripped off dont feel I should pay extra for the portions Im used too getting I go their 3 or 4 times a week so I know what im talking about wont happen again because next time Im saying something.

Ive never had a bad experience at Cool Creations. Everyone who works here is super-friendly, and the owner posts some pretty cheesy (but amusing) videos on their facebook page. The sitting area has a 50s retro diner vibe. They have a pretty good variation in things you can get besides an ice cream cone: gelato, lemonade, t-shirts with punny phrases on them...Its a very laid-back atmosphere, and a great place to stop by when youre planning on hanging around downtown Lockport on a warm day.I look forward to opening day every year. My only complaint is that I wish they were open year-round!
