We like the products West Marine carries, but the service at this location is lacking.We checked for marine antifreeze online. Website said there were hundreds of gallons at Lodi, NJ store, and if we wanted to buy some there, that we would need to call the store to reserve some. We called there two days prior to our visit there and the clerk said there was no need to reserve the antifreeze because they had plenty.On a Saturday, we arrived to find that we were the only ones there ( besides the clerk and her supervisor). We noticed that the variety of antifreeze was not on the sales floor. We asked the clerk for it and said that the website shows plenty of stock. The clerk went to stockroom and returned to say that she sees the cases of it, but the aisle is to narrow to get to them because they just arrived and were stacked tightly. She suggested that we return home and order them online. We told her that we drove many miles and paid tolls to pick this up. We offered to get the item, if she couldnt reach them. She said we couldnt do that because it was in stockroom.She then said she would ask her supervisor what could be done( she was in the stockroom). The clerk came back and said the supervisor would get the antifreeze for me. After 10 minutes, the clerk returned to tell us that they did not have any and to order it online.So, to recap:First : website says hundreds of gallons are at the store.Second: clerk answering phone confirms they are there.Third: clerk at store confirms they are there, but hard to get.Forth: clerk states supervisor will get them.Fifth: clerk states that the supervisor says store doesnt have them.THIS STORE NEEDS BETTER SERVICING OF PAYING CUSTOMERS.(Note: They referred us to another store that was an additional half hours drive away.)

This store stocks lots of items. The prices are good and they also price-match from just about anywhere (as long as the item listed elsewhere is new). The employees were friendly and helpful. Nothing better in the area. You can also go online and have items shipped directly to you. Solid store.

Just not enough support staff. Inventory items are missing more often than not....may as well just go on the website

Great prices on the largest selection of irons I have seen in a fishing tackle store. Nice selection of tackle bags and boxes. Its always hard for me to leave the place once Im there.Amy is very helpful, awesome store!

The worst experience ever. Employees are clueless.about boats let alone GPS. CAN TELL ME.ANY INFO.ABOUT GPS SEEMS.LIKE THEYVE HIRED THEM STRAIT FROM THE BARN!! ESPECIALLY THE MANAGEMENT. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. WALMART EMPLOYEES HAVE MORE KNOWLEDGE.

Easy in easy out if you know what you need and its not too exotic. You will pay more but it is convenient.

I have shopped here numerous times over the years and I have to say I am disappointed with ALL the empty shelves not just here at their Lodi location but also in Eatontown NJ .Slim pickings looks like a going out of business sale without the sale or crowds

They guy working in there was very unpleasant. Did not answer the phone. Could not find product we needed and seemed to have an attitude. After we found the product ourselves the employee started to act like he was all buddy buddy with us. Definitely not how other west marines are nor how this one should be.

Nice store. Friendly employees. They always have all my boating needs.

Great place Ive been going over 28 years

First tried to call the store for 2 days and got no answer. Then took 1 hour uber ride because website showed 1 ac pump in stock .When we arrived a grumpy snarky lower than average intelligence man proceeded to complain that hes by himself and cant answer the phone . He said all the kids were lazy and took the week off and theres no manager. He then finally addressed my question and told me that there was no pump and I should go to Woodbridge. Well my son walked down the aisle and saw it on the shelf where it belonged
