Bait and switch and terrible customer service. I traveled 40 miles to take advantage of the coupon in the attached photo only to have the store NOT honor it. They claim the coupon is only for camping items, but it says that NOWHERE on the coupon. It does say what is excluded which I understood completely. The fact that they would not honor this even though the coupon is not clear shows me that customer service is not a priority for the Logan store. The employees are not empowered to make correct decisions and in this situation they’ve lost a customer and the revenue on all of the product I was going to purchase and ended up having to pay an employee to restock the product. The coupons need to show specifically what does not apply. Terrible customer service and employees who don’t care.

Easy store to navigate. Very helpful staff. Needed a pair of steel toed work boots and safety vest at the last minute. Reasonable assortment to choose from. Very convenient they are open until 9pm!!

After a not so great experience here a year ago, I decided to go back and I was very happy with the service from the blond young man at the gun counter on Memorial Day for their sale. He was knowledgeable, helped me pick out the right gun. He even sold me ammo which is hard to come by now. He thanked me for my service as a veteran and was very kind. Unlike some of the other past employees at the gun counter. Ill definitely come back if more employees are friendly.

Ive been a loyal customer for several years, but since their moving to the new store, Im tempted to go the few extra blocks to IFA. Lately, Ive found C-A-L Ranch lines at the cashier are not only long, theyre also slow. Other employees will be buzzing around the checkout area, but for some reason dont bother to man another register.The other day when the cashier asked, Did you find everything you wanted? I replied, No, unfortunately I didnt. She just gave me a dumb look as though she had no idea what to say. Then she smiled and quickly responded, Well...uh...have a good one!Sadly, this isnt the only time it has happened in the recent few weeks.Also, have you ever tried to give them a call? I dont know how many times Ive called during business hours and they never bother to answer the phone.Of course, the manager will undoubtedly respond with the canned, Chip, Im sorry for your experience, ....yahda, yahda, yahda. But probably nothing will get done. Theyll still have cashiers and other employees wandering around not knowing where anything is.

CAL Ranch was awful! I just called to see if they carried Probios and the person who answered to phone acted like she had never heard of a basic probiotic in her lifetime. Then I proceeded to sit on hold for 10 minutes while she went and looked before being transfered to another associate which put me back on hold. Horrible customer service. I would choose IFA country store every time before ever going back to CAL Ranch.

New location is fun

Cal ranch has been a go to for me and family for many things. I was very disappointed when I recently visited with my family and was buying bog boots for my kids. We simply asked if they were a part of the 30% winter boots discount and quickly had Todd, the store manager, rudely jump down our throats about how they were not a part of the discount and exactly why they were not. We simply asked if they were part of the discount and a nice, “I’m am sorry, they are not.” Would have been much more appreciated.

I’m giving this store a 1.8. I had just won a buckle and was looking for a belt. The store had plenty of inventory and selection at fair prices. That part of my shopping experience was great. But despite a viral pandemic raging in Utah, none of the staff were wearing masks. At least 1 in 50 Utahns are infected with the virus. Not good odds when there were about 10 staff and another 15 or so customers, almost all unmasked, in an indoor space. I got out of there as quick as I could and probably won’t ever shop there again.

We visited this store last year and found the service, pricing and product range to be excellent! The gentleman behind the Firearms counter was especially knowledgeable and just a nice genuine bloke! Will definitely shop here again when we are next in Logan :)

I use to love this store but not going to shop here anymore. I went to buy my kids bogs and ask the cashier if they were 30% off like all the winter boots and the store manager Todd was a complete jerk and was rude to my wife and I. I was already spending $350+... I will be sure to let every person I know what I think of Todd and the Logan store!

I give this place a two. Why you might ask? As much as I like going looking around in the store not once have I ever been greeted by staff and I have never had staff ask me if I needed help. When I was shopping for boots never once was I given advice about what type of boot would be good for my foot.....I wound up buying a pair of boots thankfully it fits well. But I do know sometimes you need help with selecting just the right fit!! Especially with expensive leather boots... And not to mention, I wind up waiting at the checkout line for an undetermined amount of time while the cashier is doing god knows what. I usually wind up having to cough or clear my voice so they can hopefully hear they have a customer over at the counter area...... There should be a cashier at or near the counter within eye sight at all times while the cash register is open!!!!!

Just bought my first gun, Patrick was the one helping us, he was very knowledgeable and helped us figure out exactly which one to get. Helped us find a really good deal as well. Will definitely be coming back next time!

My favorite ranch store.

I went into the store looking for a string mower. that is like a weed eater that is got two wheels and is a size and shape of a regular lawn mower has about a 22in cutting swath with very heavy string that will take out bushes. In Logan I have found two other stores that had one available and it was a mid-range upper mid-range model they both had one each in their store one was box one was floor model. Hey Cal ranch that had either three or four different models at a considerable range of price three were lower than the one I had seen elsewhere at the other two stores and one of the one one of them was a higher-end model. it was nice to see the variety and have a choice of what I really wanted. I enjoyed CAL ranch very much.

I love cal ranch! They always have what I need on the shelf. If I cant find it there is always someone there to greet me and show me where I can find the item Im looking for. I get a good amount of my fishing and hunting supply from cal ranch and never had a problem with my supply. I will recommend them to all my family and friends.

Nice and clean store, friendly staff. Great variety of products but some are a bit overpriced for me. I can get them for less from Amazon and I dont want to, but its why they are taking over so much business unfortunately. They are giving better prices for the same products and it comes to my house for me when Im too busy to get out to shop! But this is a merchant worth trying to save from the grasp of the Amazon Effect!

I stopped in today looking for some yard tools (trimmer, edger and blower), and I walked out of the store extremely impressed. I was helped by the manager, Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the equipment and he went WAY above and beyond getting me all set up with my new gear. I feel like I got an excellent deal on the products that I purchased... way better than what I could find for the same products anywhere else in the valley. This was my first purchase from CAL, but I will definitely shop there again after this experience.

In a typical visit to CAL Ranch I usually browse the store because I cant afford anything there. Ive made a couple of purchases there in the past and theyve had exactly what I was looking for. They are always clean and have most everything in stock. I dont think Ive ever been greeted by an employee though. Thats fine with me other than when Im looking for something I cant find.Overall, this last visit was pretty pleasant though.

I have really appreciate the staff at C-A-L ranch. I do not shop there often, but they are a store that if you know what you need, you can find it. However it is not a store that the normal person could spend hours in. They have great sales, and have multiple copies of their adds at the door so you can get their discounts as well. Good place for more of your home/yard needs.

I love C-A-L Ranch. They have a wide variety of things, including clothes. I love coming in to look at the ducks and chicks in the fall and spring. My kids love to look at the chicks and toys. The employees are always helpful and kind.

I live in North Carolina but when I come to Logan to visit my son, I always stop in. Love the uniqueness of this store. Great variety of gifts, clothing, and gear.

They always have great deals on allot of product throughout the store. Staff is friendly and will almost always help people in need taking things out to there car. I usually go there specifically for animal feed and smoking pellets for my grill. They are always cheaper than the competition down the road.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Cal Ranch; However, last week I went to Cal Ranch to purchase bulk hose, I found the exact hose I needed but there was no cutting device. I sought help from an employee that was clearly clueless as I watched him wander aimlessly for several minuets trying to find something to cut the hose with. After several minuets, He came back with a pair of bolt cutter that pinched the hose but would not cut it. As he left to try to find something else, I asked the gentleman at the gun counter if he had a knife and if he would allow me to borrow it for a moment. I cut my own hose section and returned the knife. As I attempted to check out, once again I was met by an employee that simply did not have a grasp on her job. She stammered and stuttered as she looked though book of various UPC codes. Finally she told me I would have to return to the hose area and take a picture of the bar code for her to complete the transaction. By this time Im 20 minuets in to a simple purchase..... yes, frustration was the word to describe this trip to Cal Ranch

The sales clerk that helped us find what we needed and make sure we understood how to use it and then also showed us another medication we could use for our other animals her information was greatly appreciated

C-A-L Ranch, its much better now that its in the mall, its clean and fresh. You gotta love the country feel. Its comparable to IFA and Tractor Supply. We love to see the chicks and ducks in the spring.

Im surprised at how well Cal Ranch works in a mall. I would have thought it would have been out of place. But they have filled the space quite well. And it seems it had allowed them to expand. Seems more homey in the store. Tons of selection now. I now approve.

I was disappointed by Cal Ranch last night well likely not go back. Having grown up in Cache Valley I was there when Cal Ranch came to Logan. I have shopped there since and spent thousands there. I bought hunting, fishing, farming, trapping and camping gear. Much of our wood cutting supplies there, chains saws, chains, bars etc. Over the years I have bought several firearms there. years ago we moved to Bear Lake Valley but sill come to Logan to shop and see family. My daughter is going to buy a 20 gauge shotgun for her son for Christmas. I told her to call Cals, and Als. Als sent her to the gun department 3 times no one answered, go figure. Cals told her they had several youth models on special they would hold one for her for 24 hours. I told her to make sure they could sell us one since we were from Idaho, they told her yes they could they can sell long guns to bordering states. We didnt get there until probably 30 hours later, thats all good. The guy she talked to was obviously not there. But there was two very uniformed guys and a kid that looked like he just wanted to hang out by the guns and should have been crushing boxes. We explain what we want, they have no more guns like the one the guy told us on the phone (fine), so, we look for a different one. The guys helping us had no answers save what they could see on the sales tags, seriously, at least they didnt pretend to know, the tags werent that accurate. So they didnt seem to know much, they had no idea whats in stock, when i asked theyd say theyd to go to the back and check in a way that made me think they didnt want to. So, we tell them what were doing and one says I didnt get my first gun until I was 18. My grandson has been through hunters safety and scored 100% on the test, and he has hunted likely more than both those associates put together. They lecture us about age to have a shotgun, I finally just tell them my daughter had already been through boot camp by her senior year and had been an MP in the army and I have a LEO son. We raise our kids a little differently out in the country in Idaho apparently. I ask if they have a military discount, my daughter pulls out her military ID to which they laugh. The lurking kid at the end of the counter says, On the 4th of July. We finally decided on a shotgun and they try to talk us out of it and into a more expensive one of course (the one actually said nobody buys Mossberg over Remington lol, I kind of agree but we were on a budget.) After convincing them we know what we want, and I dont need them to show me how to assemble it, they get the paperwork out. Several times they get busy talking to browsers a couple of which are surely not buying anything so we have to wait to ask questions. Paperwork complete, they spend 5 or 10 mins trying to decide if they even know how to do the BIC check, Im loosing confidence fast. 45 mins later he comes out and says the phone number is now down for the night and he cant get the computer to work, can we stop back by on our way through. They knew we live hours drive, the reason we came to Logan was the shotgun. We cleared up that they could sell it to us over the phone the day before. I start walking away and I tell my daughter lets go. The guy is all hey, am I loosing a sale here? Are you kidding me?? I say what do you think we are going to do? you cant sell it to us now! I get if the system was down they couldnt do it but from the way they were acting I dont even know if it was or their ability to do it was the problem. Had they seemed kind of good I would have gone back the next day, to be honest the price was really good. So, Cal Ranch Logan, Im heading to Pocatello to get the shotgun, Ill stop by the Cals there, but, likely to go to Sportsmans warehouse where they give a military discount, and I know the guys working the gun counter might be jerks, but they know what they are doing, they know just about as much about firearms lol. as we walked in we saw the woodsplitters we need for sale wont be buying there.

Great place to buy guns, they are decently priced, if you want a custom gun, theyll tell the manufacturer. It costs $30 for a gun transfer if you want to order guns online. They have a policy, if you spend $100 theyll waive the FFL transfer fee. They are nice, overall I have no complaints. If you want pricing on custom guns from the manufacturer give cal ranch a call and theyll contact the manufacturer and ask them if they will make the custom gun.

10 minutes before closing all I wanted was a bag of food to feed rabbits all they wanted to do was go home check out and go home front desk services never been good at all young kids just bullshiting mostly about social media not giving a s*** or caring about customers unknowledgeable about items where theyre at whats the best item and why there at Cal ranch sucks. Products are good especially for someone like me rancher farmer golf course maintenance but customer service at Cal ranch in Logan sucks.

I called in asking about some riding boots I saw online and wanted to try on in the store. At first they were very nice and went looking for them for me. But then a supervisor got on the phone and was very unprofessional. I explained to her again about the boots I was looking for. She angrily told me she didnt even know what they were. I described them in more detail and told her about the ones I saw online. She proceeded to tell me that they dont carry the boots, that no one does and that she had never even seen them online. I was not impressed with her customer service skills. I have been into the store before and never had an issue but this was a disheartening experience. I will not be calling or going in again.

I was in CAL Ranch yesterday with my son Christmas shopping. We found what we needed . We then got in line to check out. As we waited in line we got to listen to two employees flirt with the man in front of us. That was fine except for when he left they proceeded to speak very poorly about the woman he is engaged to. The woman checking me out did not say one word to me. Not one word. Horrible experience.

Our Dogs prefer Dog Food at C-A-l Ranch we Love all the products here in Store.. in Spring when supplies are Stocked I will be buying some watering Mechanical Timers here in store. Plus looking to buy cordless electric grass Trimmer edger custom stringless Battery integrated plus Dog Toys are great looking to buy 1000 bags of Dog poop pickup to be very Clean always clean up after our pets even other peoples dogs mess left by Ignorance.

Ive never purchased anything here but if you need it, they have it. A huge inventory displayed in an immaculate environment. This is one interesting place to peruse .

Went in looking for a Hooey hat for my husbands birthday. I could only find youth hats so I went and asked the lady for help. She told me they don’t make Hooey hats for women. I said I am shopping for my husband and can only find youth hats. She said well if your shopping for your husband it would probably be in the men’s department, don’t you think? I said that’s where I looked. She finally came to help me and showed me the same exact youth hats. She said all Hooey hats come in youth that’s how men wear them and I said you mean to tell me a 6’9 man where’s a youth hat? She said sorry mam’ That’s what we have and walked away. After I went into IFA. They had men’s Hooey hats in a size large and guess what, even female Hooey hats. Very disappointed.

Really like this store. Employees are knowledgeable and eager to help, but they dont bug you. Cheaper than some stores on some things more expensive on other things.

When I was there I needed help finding something. One person was on their cell phone and two employees were to busy visiting with each other. Im not the type of person to interrupt. Cashier was busy.

This is an older and much smaller store so the lay out is funky. Other then that it still has everything a newer store does.

Our family friend, was accused of theft, and denied future service at cal ranch. All because she is Hispanic.In front of other cal ranch customers, Maria was accused of theft by a cashier. The cashier brought out a manager (Mike) who supported the cashiers accusations and further more, asked Maria to leave the store immediately and to not come back.Apparently the store employees and management feel they have grounds to discriminate and publicly humiliate customers, in an attempt to prevent theft of goods.A word to the wise: If you’re not Caucasian, take caution when considering purchasing from cal ranch. There is a fair chance of becoming victim to racial profiling. Their cashiers, backed by assistant manager (mike) and store wide manager (Todd), will refuse service and make wrongful public accusation based-upon race.Due to a language barrier, Maria had her daughter go back to the store with her to translate and receive a full understanding of what had happened Saturday. Another assistant manager (Roberta) was on shift and apologized for the “misunderstanding”.She explained there was another Hispanic female who stole some items back in December. Roberta retracted the cashier and mikes statement by welcoming Maria and her family to shop there anytime. Roberta was very sorry for the “inconvenience”.This is a small community, and because of the public accusations, Maria is embarrassed that the people who were in the store that day will think she is not honest and steals. She came to this country to work hard and make a better life for her and her daughter. Due to the ignorance of these employees, Maria has to live with the outcome

I found some pants that I love. Price was not too bad. Staff was friendly and offered help.

Good quality stuff for reasonable prices. My boyfriend got some carhartt overalls and they seem literally indestructible.

Its a great place to get western clothes and tack. My husband get alot of his work coats from CAL Ranch.

Its hard to get service at times because they are short handed, but the service is great, the guys are willing to help. If you buy a firearm and have it sent here it will be a $20 transfer fee, but its not bad considering the money you save from buying online.
