Ive been shopping at Jewel/Osco for over 20 years now never had a problem the staff are very professional and willing to help you find anything you cant fine.

Good selection of products. Sometimes the checkout lines are understaffed creating long wait times. Stock people engage in unprofessional conversations in front of customers.

Jewel stores have been a part of the suburbs as long as I can remember. The store is clean and all staff practices good safety and health protocols.

I drove alittle further to get to this Jewel, but it was worth it! It is a bigger store and more modern. Stocked well considering the holiday is coming quickly. Fast check out and helpful.

I usually love Jewel but I am hating that they are reducing staff and having self checkouts which are so messed up sometimes like I spend almost half an hour checking myself out cause the machine kept saying remove item after it beeped and it kept happening again and again it’s funny the customer support employee did not suggest us to move to another unit or even an actual counter.Jewel we love automation and technology but please ensure it works before reducing staff

My experience was great until I got to the self checkout and noticed this homeless looking man with a brown Banda around his face, no mask watching me, I kept scanning and felt someone starting at me I looked back and Jeff was still standing there now I know he was watching me, once I swiped my American Express he walked away. As I was leaving I noticed he was walking around and not watching anyone else. I refuse to patronize businesses with these discriminatory practices. I was elated to return and make Jeff who was now at the customer service desk return everything I had just bought!

Place was surprisingly busy on Christmas Eve. The layout of this Jewel is different than others in my neighborhood.

So I get precautions in the way of COVID, but when I go to EXCHANGE an outlet plug that I purchased YESTERDAY for a new one, I was denied. BUT, they’ll let customers come into the store WITHOUT A MASK? Which I pointed out as the customers were walking out the door and I’m answered with a shoulder shrug. Nice Jewel. I’ll be taking my patronage elsewhere and I would suggest the same to those who would like to stay healthy.

Jewel surprised me that they had better variety and fresher produce than Marianos and Petes Market. Jewel also had much friendlier more helpful employees.

Charged me for groceries I did not buy. Went immediately from the checkout to the service desk to have the charges for the items I didnt buy removed. Had to wait an hour at the service desk to have it fully resolved. In the end they blamed me for their mistake at the checkout and graciously allowed me to return the items I never bought. Grocery shopping shouldnt be an ordeal. You should put your stuff up on the belt, pay for it, be kind to the employees, and be on your merry way. The staff was instead rude and made it a hassle to undo the extra $100 I was charged for somebody elses stuff.

I love jewel. This jewel is usually very stocked with all the things I need. They have the sale prices and the coupons so i can save even more money. I love when I find mee items I havent seen in a while. Cause then I can brag that I got them before somebody else does. Lol thanks jewels for keeping me snacking and finding new things to try!!

This was long overdue for a great review! Every year I order a customized cake for my boyfriend’s birthday on January 2nd. This year I procrastinated and I forgot to order it ahead of time. I went to the Jewel bakery in Villa Park and they were unable to make it because I did not give a 24 hour notice. I called Lombard and they made the cake within the hour. Lucia and the bakery staff are awesome and I cannot thank them enough for the beautiful cake and helping make my boyfriend’s birthday so awesome! You all rock!

Always shopping and running in to grab something. Convenient place to grab groceries and other goodies. The new self-checkout lines are also a big hit. Itll take you a few tries to get the process down but if you usually shop for a few things at a time it makes it a great experience. They also accept Apple Pay and I recently started using that feature on my phone. Makes it so easy to pop in and out!

Mostly Always friendly staff (new guy in Meat Department Rude) name tag on backwards couldnt read it. But he is husky probably been there a month.Otherwise this store is always spot on.

Jewel in general isnt one star. But I have to give them one star for not getting rid of an employee who is obviously the reason behind their horrible star rating on here.Visited twice today because we had a rain check for items written by one of the managers. First visit was pleasant with no issues.Second visit, Im barely walking in the door before hearing a lady going off at customer service about an employee who shouldnt be working there. I assumed it was illness/covid related and went about my business thinking the lady was obviously being a Karen with the manager.... little did I know...We head to check out with the lovely Linda who gives us no salutation and starts slamming our items across the scanner, obviously waiting for the end of her shift to come. (I worked in retail over 5 years. I know the feeling.) She looks at the rain check paper and goes What the heck is this? We dont accept these. I told her we had already been there earlier today and used a rain check but had forgotten one at home. Yeah I doubt that. We havent been accepting rain checks because of Covid. We dont take returns or anything back. .....iight... So how does that apply here maam? I asked her to explain that logic to me. Oh idk its just what our managers have been telling us. Which is interesting because the earlier cashier didnt give us an issue, and the manager was the one who offered the rain check in the first place. I told her that were not returning anything. Its a coupon, so how does not accepting a coupon have to do with Covid, exactly? You just like taking advantage of the situation and customers? Is that the connection youre trying to make? K, well I asked for her manager being he was the one that wrote them to which of course she huffed and puffed. I spoke up and told her that I didnt appreciate the way she handled the situation. My 70-year-old dad just wanted his 75 cent pop tarts, and instead of being a decent human being and being polite about the policy you assumed you were right about, you took joy in shutting down a 70 year old man with his coupon he was excited about. Thats the kind of person Linda is. Thankfully another cashier came over and processed the rain check for us. The manager never actually came bc he was with another customer. Linda goes on about how shes been working in the industry for so long and obviously knows what shes talking about. To which I tried to respond to before she threw her hand in my face and said Whatever! I dont want to hear you anymore. Were done here so God BLESS you! What a lovely lady. I cant imagine this was the employee the lady from earlier was going on about.... Jewel, do yourself a liability favor and get rid of this lady. Shes going to be the old lady that ends up in a video on Facebook making a disgrace of your business.

They are very short and they stole my penny and ate my eggs so sad i gave them a tip.

This is a good store, better than some other jewels, the veggies ar fresher. But, it seems like no matter when I go in, the sale items arent on the shelves. When I ask about it, not one department will go in back and get it for me.For example, 2 old cauliflower on the shelf, asked if they could get me a fresh one. Sorry, out.Just like the sale chicken breast, crab meat and olive oil. Out, sorry, none in back.
