I just moved back to the area. Ive been making allot of improvements and have been spending allot of time in this store recently. My experience is most of the employees are not very knowledgeable. Some are lazy, because when I ask where an item is they just point and say the isle number. Also, allot of disgruntled attitudes. This probably has to be the worst home depot Ive ever been into. Hopefully the management from this store can get their act together. Considering this is the ONLY place in town to get building supplies, Im stuck. Otherwise I would certainly go somewhere else. Maybe your experience is different than mine? Id like to hear your story.

I don’t usually write negative reviews but I felt compelled to say something. I’ve been at this Home Depot location multiple times and the staff are consistently inattentive, unfriendly and not knowledgeable. They also have really poor stock on ordinary items like packing boxes. On one occasion they didn’t have regular terracotta planters in the garden section- none at all in any size. After my experiences at this store I’d say It’d be worth making the drive out to Santa Maria.

Almost always have just what I need

Toilet seat broke. Bought a new one.

Poor service. Waited in garden section for 20 minutes after purchase and twice requesting assistance to load 30 bags of mulch. The clerk offered the help but no one showed up. Ended up loading it myself. Lumber department not much better as waited to have one piece cut. Eventually 3 guys showed up and while there were several customers looking for help, 2 guys just walked away. Fortunately there are 2 other Home Depots and Lowes to go to within same driving distance.

Good customer service and well stocked shelves. Got some tools to fix our car on a road trip. Worked out great.

Got pavers for foundation. Good price and product

This was the worst experience of any home depot I have ever had. No selection for paint goods. Spackle, and spray primmer was limited. I will never shop lompoc home depot again. Ill drive to Golita.

BEST Home Depot out there! Especially the lumber section where there are always 2-3 guys willing to make cuts and theyre super nice about it unlike Goleta HD where you have to chase people down and then they give you attitude about cutting lumber. Lompoc is the way to go!

I love that they have almost everything I need. The plants, paint and anything to help my projects for the lawn, Garten and indoor projects too

This place is amazing

Story was very clean, Staff was helpful Knowledgeable and went extra mile to make sure we got exactly what it is we needed . Cant wait to go back and deal with the nice people there.

Employees were very helpful and kind when helping me find the products I need. The only downside is the size of the store. Unfortunately the Lompoc location doesnt carry as much as some if the larger stores so I need to drive to Santa Maria for certain items.

This store does not have enough people trained to cut blinds. This is the 3rd time I have been disappointed. Many other customers are standing around waiting on help in nearby departments too or wantdering around in unattended flooring and cabinet area.

I am always happy with my purchase. They also have everything you need when it comes to hardware. The people are very nice and inviting, if you have a question you can always go to them for them answer even if they know it or not.

Always enjoy going in here. But, today while waiting to get help with paint an employee was very rude. Three of us were all staying our 6ft distance when he came over and told us we were not in line the right way. Two gentlemen were being helped by 2 females, very nice and helpful. I was waiting my turn keeping 6ft distance and also from other shoppers going by a main aisle. I was the only one waiting. This employee needs some people skills. Dropping them to 4 stars. Wonderful. Always great people working there. May have to wait for help sometimes but builds patience.

The best Men’s toy store in San Diego. Helpful and cheerful staff despite the circumstances. Good place to kill time and look for hidden jams with yellow stickers. $.40 3m electric tape first week of June :)

Ahh Home Depot! So many things so little time and money and daylight so-on and so-on I wish wishes were real dangit! Ok now reality good stuff good staff and all your handy husband or blue collar pro needs for almost any project.

Hit or miss in terms of customer service. Some employees are super helpful and friendly while others are condescending or bad communicators. For a while it was nearly impossible to get paint samples and the explanations for this were inconsistent. Went to pick up a large special order of tile I had placed and was told I couldnt retrieve it in multiple trips, I had to find a truck and get it all at once. When we did go back to get it, some of it was already damaged. They worked out a deal to make up for it but it ended up being from different lots which presented a sizing challenge for the installers.

Easy in and easy out. As usual they have everything you need for home and garden.

Went in to look at small chest freezers. In less than 5 minutes a gentleman approached and asked if we needed help. I told him what we were looking for and he took us directly to the location and answered a few questions. We came home with a new 5 cu ft chest freezer! The price was great too!!

In and out quick. Had what I wanted and no lines at checkout.

Whenever I go to Home Depot, I enjoy just walking around the store checking out all the new tools, lighting fixtures, gardening supplies & the employees are very nice and helpful.

Great service and very helpful crew at this HD, as usual. Dawn handled my returns from different deliveries and credit cards or no receipts and was good to talk to during the process.

I went to look for lumber and asked for help from employees. However, no one knew anything and the person I asked just looked dumbfounded! She told me to look for someone in lumber dept to help, which I didnt have time to do, so I just looked myself and left without finding anything.

They are a little pricey...but the workers are nice and many are willing to help you find what you are looking for....

I like the garden section, bought some Marigolds and they all survived replanting.

Ive always been able to find what I need or ask an associate and they are helpful here. Had a problem with a fridge being delivered once, but the manager gave me a $$ credit towards the purchase. Overall experience has been good here.

My husband went to get Astro turf grass and brought a small one that was $149 and large $299 the small one was scanning $299 and the cashiers said that was the way it was and would not help him at all. He had to go back bring another employee to see and prove he was correct. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Went with friend who recently moved to Lompoc. Store was clean, well organized and most of the employees were very friendly and healthy. Donna (cashier) was great at check out, friendly and professional.Eli in paint was exceptional! Professional and very knowledgeable about paint. He was friendly and extremely helpful.

The cashiers are amazing. There is this one that that is the sweetest young girl. Always has a smile. Very well put together. She has the cutest name Coco.

None of the employees were willing to help, they all just kept walking in the other direction. One employee told us that they would call someone over to help us -- we waited 15 minutes and nobody ever came. While we stood there several employees walked past us without asking if we needed help. We ended up leaving without ever being helped. Waste of time.

Randy helped me in gardening. Very helpful. Even though there were a lot of customers in store, he was available quickly. Found the product I needed, paid and out the door. In todays fast paced world, quick, easy, and informative. You can even pick up a hot dog for lunch, just outside. My overall experience with all employees whenever I have been in store has been pleasant.

Home depot is pretty much self serve I ask for help to load some materials one time. A customer parked next to me help me. There is a lady. That makes keys. She was very helpful

Porcelain tile on one side of the building, thinset at the other end. Would be nice if they grouped materials together.

I asked for help. This young man said he would call someone who would help me with my questions about florescent lighting. I waited over 20min. So I went to look for him to ask, was there a problem? He could not be found. I called an electrician with my questions . Im not happy with that young man. He should have personally check back with me to see if I got the help I needed. Home Depot is the only game in town. I managed, people who are there to help should!

Came here with my boyfriend to gather materials for a home improvement project. Thomas was super helpful in taking the time to get our lumber down to more manageable and useful sizes. He was patient and friendly while we triple checked our list. Even when I was bringing the large cart back, another employee named Tim intercepted and returned it for me.TLDR: Amazing customer service!

Lumber supervisor was beyond rude!!! He was extremely curt and rude just because he needed to help me. I happen to be disabled and tho Im sure I couldve gotten the lumber I knew I shouldnt. I have his name should anyone contact me. From what I gather its a constant problem.

This, if you have never been to Home Depot, is pretty much like all Home Depots. The staff here, however, seem far more enthusiastic than many other stores I have visited, including those right up the road. My only gripe is that I sometimes find items unavailable or not restocked on the shelves. It could be a supply issue though. Those are the times that I have to make the unfortunate trip to the next store, up the road.

Too much danger of catching covid19 because several employees refuse to wear masks and practice social distancing. A guy named Scott in particular, hes in the tools department. In denial about the pandemic, selfish, inconsiderate and insensitive. I go to Wal-Mart or Lowes now.

Cause they let my puppy come in and a lot of good stuff and you ask for things your looking for and they will take you right to it.

They had what I needed, but as I was loading 2x4s and fencing while wearing a skirt and heels (and I am also senior), several employees walked by with no offer of help. I asked one and he was on his way to help another customer. At check out, I was not offered loading help, nor did the employee rounding up carts by my car offer as I wrestled my purchase into my vehicle.

Great store! Its like a DIY version of Toys R Us or Best Buy. What I mean by that is if you want it, theres a very good chance that they already have it sitting on the shelf. And if not, you can always order it off from their Internet site and have it shipped for free to their store.Its a very big store and they have a lot! Of items. It always surprises me that you can ask any, and I mean any, employee were something is or what it does and they usually know right off the top of their head. And if they dont, they know who does and they call them on the phone.Sometimes though you cant find an employee for several minutes. And they only have one bathroom in the whole entire place, so that has proven inconvenient at times while shopping. They also only have one place for making your purchases.
