Never have a ever had such a bad experience. Manager is not interested in being a manager and based on her level of professionalism it shows. I just can’t believe this place is allowed to be ran like this. PEOPLE LIVING AT THE UNITS!!!!! I have rented Uhaul storage before in way worse areas and didn’t feel as unsafe and scared as I did here.After a month and having to call her and customer service multiple times, wait on hold for hours, my issue was finally resolved. Not because the manager wanted me to have a good experience, but because she was forced to deal with my issue because I called again. When we spoke she couldn’t even take responsibility for the condition of her location, she just blamed the employee for why she hasn’t reached out to me or why the area was so bad. Be a adult and do your job it’s not the hard. I promise. I found an amazing and safe storage in Goleta. $50 more, but worth it to feel safe and not scared. I will never rent a unit from a uhaul storage again after this.

BE AWARE THAT THE MANAGER ALLOWS SEVERAL HOMELESS TO LIVE ON THE PREMISES BEHIND THE LOCKED GATE IN THE STORAGE UNITS!!!! Was informed that they are not nice and one was unstable. This is not a safe location to store your stuff.

Absolutely disgusting. Do not rent from here unless you are ok with “unstable” (according to them) people living around the units. Manager is a liar and takes no responsibility. I am in awe how she is still a manager, I guess that’s what happens when no one wants to work, beggars can’t be choosers when you need employees and I understand that, but she is ruining this location.

This place is absolutely the worst place of business i have experienced period. within a week of my moving date a lady calls the day before my installation appointment telling me she doesnt have the part and no other information. i ask her is there anything else you can tell me? when the part will get there? maybe someone else with the part? her answer is i dunno.. over and over again. then hangs up on me. then doesnt answer the phone anymore. after 57 calls, someone answers the phone. cancelled everything with them. messed up my whole move. i just dont understand this place.

Visited on different occasions to fill propane tanks and every visit they continue to say that they dont have a person licensed to fill the tanks. A bit frustrating since they advertise that they fill propane tanks. Just FYI if youre going there for this reason. Customer service was great for returning my uhaul.

Unprofessional and disorganized. Had to reschedule our appointment multiple times due to them not getting the hitch we ordered in. Then they ordered the part from a different company to have it rushed and no communication to us to set up install. Had to call in order to try to get the hitch installed only for them to not have the correct wiring harness for our vehicle to complete the installation. At the end of the day our hitch is only half installed and now we are forced to cancel plans which are non refundable. The manager took no accountability for their lack of preparedness and when confronted about the situation tried to blame us as if they had not had multiple opportunities to ensure that they would be equipped to complete the job. Disappointed is an understatement. Would not recommend them for hitch installation.

If you rent a unit at this location, beware of the manager, she is very rude and unprofessional! I have had my stuff stored here for a few months, and not once have I had any issues from the staff. It wasnt until I had to deal with the manager that things got worse. Not going to disclose much, but I was billed for a lock out of spite of the manager. I was aware of the price change, but I was not aware that the facility was changing locks to a specific type. They were going to provide a lock and I said cool. After missing the payment, due to I am a single mom of two and struggling financially. I received a call from the manager asking for a payment, she sounded so rude and I explained I was aware of the payment and would pay it soon. After that I noticed a misc fee on my account, so I questioned it and I was billed for the lock after I was told the lock would be provided free of charge. If you can work with someone like that then go ahead and rent a unit here.

I ordered a hitch online and scheduled it to be done at this facility. A few days before the install I got a call saying the part was on back order and that they would call around to see if another shop had it and would give me a call back to give me an update. The day before the appointment I called the office and it goes to a call center (not U-Haul). The call center forwarded me to the store because they werent able to fully look into the order. The person at the store didnt seem to know much about my issue and had to get the manager (who seemed to be the only one that dealt with hitches). The manager (who was the one supposed to call me back) informed me that it wasnt in yet and not to show up to my appointment. The manager told me they were going to continue looking for a hitch and would give me an update by the end of the day. The next day I tried calling back (cause they never called me back) and got the call center again... Tired of not being able to call the store directly, I drove there. The person at the counter had no idea how to look into my hitch order. I told this person about not being able to call the store directly and I basically got a deer in headlights response. She told me to come back when the manager was in. So I did the next day. The manager informed my order was express shipped and would give me a call when it got in (I didnt trust that at this point). So I went back when the manager said it would be there and it had just arrived. I handed over my car and it was installed later that day. The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because of the gentlemen who installed the hitch was very professional and friendly (unlike everyone else I dealt with). Even after everything was installed, my hitch pin didnt make it in the order, so that was refunded. I was told they would call me when it came in (which of course, they never did!). So on my way home from the hitch install, I bought it from Walmart instead. Ill be avoiding this U-Haul location in the future!

Robyn and Rochelle were EXTREMELY helpful. On top of delivering top notch service, they had humors and wore earnest smiles the whole time. It helped make the moving process just a little more enjoyable. When it came time to get going, they made sure we had everything we needed. Very very pleasant experience.

Stopped this morning to pick up a trailer reservation. The associate behind the counter (the name on the invoice is Jose) seemed much more interested in texting whoever he was texting than helping me. After an unnecessarily long check in, we finally go out to the yard. During the safety check he tells me the trailer lights arent bright enough to rent me the trailer. I understand safety is the main concern, but despite the fact its a bright sunny day, all the lights were clearly visible and functional. Im a former automotive technician and checked my trailer wiring before showing up to pick up my trailer. I have been using U-Haul for as long as Ive been old enough to rent a truck and this is the absolute worst experience Ive ever had. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and advising others to do the same.

Worst rental experience ever. Showed up with reservations and didnt have our truck for us. And wouldnt fix the situation, never offered a discount, just said nothing.Go to Penske, theyre so much better. Have no idea how this company stays in business.

I would never come back to this place. Youre better off going to pommerville in lompoc. After all they sent me there anyways even after I made a reservation 3 or 4 days in advance. Renting trucks out at uhaul isnt exactly rocket science or maybe it is I dont know. Either way I will not be returning.

If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. I visited the facility to check on my order and no one was at the front desk for about 5 minutes, then when the young lady came to the counter, she was very rude. I was also trying to get a hitch installed for my vehicle -- I contacted the 800 number and talked with individual after individual after individual on the same day -- and no one had notes from the previous call. It was the most frustrating moving experience I have ever had. We have a large family that moves frequently -- we wont be using UHaul.

Matt and Phil were extremely patient and helpful through the troubleshooting process. In the end we managed to get all of the lights operational and they had us on our way. Thank you guys.

I made a reservation for a 20 ft truck and when I arrived all they had was a 26ft truck that was in poor condition. The truck broke down on the road while loaded with all of my home furniture for a an in-town move. This was very inconvenient. They did send out a tow truck after about 2 hours which luckily towed the truck to where I was moving so I could onload. I was not charged for the truck. The main reason for my negative review is that my reservation was met as I expected it to be.
