We have nothing but good things to say about Family Floors! From start to finish the whole team was professional, caring, and they took clear communication to a whole new level! They refurbished 1200 sq ft of hardwood floors in our house and installed new baseboards! When the stain didnt come out quite right the first time on the floors, they came back the next day to fix it and make everything right! During the whole process they were caring and friendly. We strongly recommend Family Floors as a great company to work with for professional service from quote to install!

I was blessed to find Family Flooring 5 years and have used this company for 3 of my properties. The service was excellent... I selected Shaw Floors through Family Flooring, the quality and durability was amazing!!!!!

Used this company thru Costco a few years ago. Went well. Paid a premium price but work was good. I really tried to use them again this week to do the second floor of my home. I really tried. We went to their showroom in Dec and I called them this week for an updated estimate. When I emailed Jay and Melissa back to question the estimate price, which seemed high.....$4.59 per SF for Coretec plank and $3.50 per SF to install. and requested a better price..the response I got via email, came across as very sarcastic, disrespectful and catty in tone.Get this - Jay instead referred me to Lumber Liquidators to supply my floors.So...in spite of my best efforts to give this company my business...as a repeat customer...will go elsewhere, at their recommendation.I will pass this feedback to Costco, since they are a Costco vendor. You make your own decision here, but too many good companies to choose from in this space for me to deal with this nonsense.I work hard for my money, I want the best price, the highest quality materials and the best install and top tier customer service, and I want it yesterday with zero mistakes and zero excuses. (see attached email) (also note that the owner posted a half hearted and snarky apology on yelp then took it back down. )Here is the email....from the owner:Hi Sean,Everything we do has a line item to it. All you have to do is deduct whichever line you want to do yourself. I pay my guys more than $2sf so if you have someone that will install it for you I can just sell you the materials.Respectfully, you might be better off with a $.99 material from Lumber Liquidators and having your handyman handle this project for you.Best Regards,Jay Glatman

We had installation done back in January 2020. Everything when well until installers left substandard workmanship on our flooring including carpeting in bedroom. We are currently have these issues corrected, six months later.

My experience with Family Floors was positive. The employees at the store were very helpful and the selection of carpeting was great. The customer service was excellent. I received a call from their customer service while the installers were working and after they had finished to make sure I was satisfied.

I was fortunate enough to do business with Jay, Melissa, and the employees at Family floors for 4 years. Their stores are well kept, are constantly getting updated with the latest in flooring trends, and they are consistently providing excellent customer service. This is one of the best flooring stores in Orange County and highly recommend going to either of their locations in Long Beach or Westminster!

Google Maps still shows a photo of the domed building on Spring and Woodruff as the storefront. That is NOT the 6000 block of Spring it is a now defunct location at the 5000 block. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Staff is very responsive via email and text about pricing, stock and making appointments to have property measured. 3rd generation family owned business. The showroom on Spring is smaller than the main showroom so selection is tighter.

Finished product for LVP tile in kitchen looked excellent when finished, but did have some heartache along the way.Initial meeting and quote was easy and staff was professional and courteous. Problems arose from subs used to install. Didnt remove all levels of vinyl flooring, as quoted, before laying self leveling compound which lead to uneven surface from hardwoods to LVP.Subs came without materials and ending up borrowing some of my tools to finish the job-- bucket was left full of self leveling compound and thrown away, headlamps were needed because subs left for 4-5 hours to get more material (or work another job?) and worked into darkness.Overall 4-5 hour job took about 12 hours.Frustrations were relayed to management which tried to rectify with $100 discount. Equated to 7-8% discount off the overall costs which I appreciated the effort but didnt really hit the spot for me.Would recommend if you have a very straightforward job or know enough to keep the subs on track.Bottom line: came up short in keeping installers on track which lead to unwanted results in final installation. Final product did look good, but ended up with mismatched heights in flooring that we really emphasized we didnt want during the quoting process (and were assured wouldnt happen). Not a total deal breaker but a bummer for grannys walker.

Called about flooring availability and their representative was not interested helping out. She cut the conversation short, did not show any enthusiasm, and didn’t offer any alternatives. Would suggest going to one of the 100 other flooring stores nearby.

Family Floors guaranteed the carpet I purchased from them against the defects I am experiencing. The carpet was perfect for my home, color coordinated well with my tile. However, I told Jay (the owner) it would not work in my home due to the loops in the carpet. He assured me the warranty covered any un looping, so I purchased the carpet.I paid the cost of the carpet up-front, something I would not ordinarily do, but since the check was made out to Costco, I felt confident in doing so. Unfortunately, I am now in a position, and have been for well over a year, where customer service on the part of the dealer is absent.Family floors installed hardwood flooring in place of carpet in my living/dining room due to damage to my Thomasville credenza/china cabinet by Family Floor installers. It has been well over a year now (the initial carpet was installed April 1, 2017) and the first defect was noted the day after installation). I still do not have resolution.
