This a great shop, located in a fun tourist location. Everything in the store is great quality and the prices are fair, certain products are actually priced better than if you go directly to the brand, such as Broxon and Stetson. The hours are 10-6 weekdays and 12-8 weekends, but online it says other hours, maybe for the San Diego locations? The hats are of good quality so don’t come in with food, seems like common sense. When I called the girl who answered was attentive and welcoming, informing me that the store is practical with social distancing, that face masks are required but we are allowed to try the hats on. I saw a hat online and the girl was able to set it aside for me so when I came it was ready for me. I was really surprised with the information that the folks who work there new. I like the variety that was in the store. Parking isn’t free but that’s ok, most parking in Long Beach costs and because this is a tourist location. Fun place to shop, great service when I came, and there’s a lot to do in the area, especially if you like to shop!

Went there today & was totally blown away by this place. They have so many types of hats. Its a Specialty Hat Store. I was looking for a classic grey 1920s newsboy cap. Found it and its BEAUTIFUL. Many styles and colors. Starting from 20 dollars to about 60 dollars. Very affordable. You should check out there website & type the selection you want. I Definitely Recommend this place. Very friendly and informative staff.

This is such a great hat shop. It basically has a hat for everyone. While you are strolling around make sure you stop by and outfit yourself with new head gear to protect yourself from the Southern California sun. Took my father and his wife in there, bought him a Stetson - real classy & his wife a big brim colorful hat. We were all very happy.

The Sales Lady...Was Okay.I have hired people over my years.She is working in the right place...For her.She is Scared of something.What? Who knows.I like to know WHO I am dealing with.She would not eve. Tell me her 1st name.That was pretty Impersonal.

Inaccurate pricing, provided fake Tax information to customers, and the staff seems to be completely unaware of anything.I purchased a hat that came out to a total of $44.04. However, the price tag on the hat stated it was $34.00, leading to the assumption that they charged approximately 30% tax? I found out the hat price was $39.95 after buying the item, but the fact that the stated price was not the charged price is fraudulent, which is another case in itself. $5 isnt a lot of money, but more importantly, however, when asked by the cashier if the stated amount was the correct amount as well as if the 30% tax was correct, she was very aggressive and stated Yes, this is California which is false information in terms of the tax - A 30% TAX DOES NOT EXIST. Instead of dealing with an error in the price in a civil manner, she resorted to ignoring our questions and quite frankly, asking us to instead pursue questions by calling the warehouse when potential misconceptions could be solved in the shop. And more importantly, when a customer asked for the tax rate in their area, they didnt know the exact tax rate for that area, but rather they gave us the wrong tax information that the tax rate was 30%. It shows their disregard for potential customers.I could understand well enough if they had apologized to us once we pointed out the wrong price and tax rate issues because I am a person who believes that all human beings are not perfect and can make mistakes. However, they never apologized nor cleared up any possible misconceptions at all. I have NEVER SEEN in my ENTIRE LIFE someone so aggressive, rude towards a potential customer.We could have slid by this one, but I think their actions toward customers warrant a statement that they are in violation of California Business & Professions Code Section 12024.2 BPC, where items cannot be overcharged over $1 by California law. This is a crime, as we had no indication of the price of the hat being $39.95 instead of it being $34.00. This is worsened by the fact that the workers there have been rude to not only us but other customers as well. When other customers with us also pointed out their rude behavior, the employee got angry with the other customer, stating aggresive remarks Why do you care? and when asked, Whats your name?, the cashier replied with, Why do I have to give you my name? The employee was angry and very rude to them.Do not shop here, not only was the price marked up overcharged  5 dollars falsely, but the respect for customers here is nonexistent and the workers seem EXTREMELY ENTITLED.

What a fun store. Today was great! I came in wit my lady to look for mens dress hats and I got entertainment instead. The girls working, I APLAUD YOU! They handled a sticky situation way better than I would have haha. Let me tell you that some people need to calm down, and today we witnessed a crazy lady going off in the store! The girls working were very knowledgeable and kind. Good store for a lot, we were not expecting there to be so many options. Will be back.

Parking was the only challenge. They had what I wanted, and were very polite. As for safety from COVID, be cautious and wear a mask. The whole of Shoreline Village was a super spreader place, it was packed.

So, I have to say, that the customer service at this store was outstanding and absolutely surpassed my expectations!Anita & Liyah were extremely helpful. They both maintained a very positive attitude and went out of their way to offer many suggestions and help me choose the right hat. They also gave me a lot of advice on how to maintain the hat’s condition!I am only in LA for a few days, and this experience has definitely enhanced my visit.

If I could leave this place less than one star, I would. Im here in the store this moment and the staff is extremely unfriendly and have no knowledge of their inventory. They can only name off three brands that are USA made and cant even point them out to me in the store. Ive already found four more USA made brands that they had no clue of, and they reprimanded me for tying to grab them when they had offered me no help earlier. Then they claimed they had a manager coming to help me, but no one ever showed up in 45 min. The last time I was here a few months ago the staff member that helped me was kind and knowledgeable, but now is a very different story. Their staff was yelling left and right to customers coming in for touching hats or having ice cream. Horrible customer service! I will not shop here again, nor recommend it to anyone else again. Buy elsewhere if you can, this place is the worst. So sad, because I would LOVE to support local businesses. But this place leaves you no choice.

Best hat shop Ive been in in years! And I dont mean baseball hats, but all hats! Im talking Fedoras, porkpie hats, Kangols of kinds! This place is like a toy store for hat enthusiasts! Ill Definitely be returning!

Though displaying a charming selection of merchandise, apparently its still difficult to get good help! After several visits there, the gaggle of teenage shop girls, huddled together and kibitzing amongst themselves appear to always be distracted by customers instead of trying to attract them.....Though I ended up purchasing a very expensive hat, no thanks to the less then attentative clerk (who is required to assist you with the high-end products), it appeared much of the merchandise was not available in more than one size.Heres my suggestion, buy their merchandise online (they have an excellent online store) it runs 10 to 20% cheaper, no sales tax and free shipping! This can save you over $20 on an expensive panama hat!

Horrible products! Cheap materials. The photos on the web site do not reflect the actual items being purchased. I received an inferior quality Panama, which was not a Panama at all, it was Made in Mexico. The hat was expensive and the item was made of sub standard materials. Buyer beware! I lost my shipping as well and had to pay for return shipping! Customer service is negligent to say the least. A complete rip off!

Called the other day and had an item placed on hold, clerk told me roads would be closed this weekend due to Grand Prix but they would be open to pedestrian traffic. Drove all the way up from OC, parked in DT Long Beach and walked to the store, only to be stopped and told no pedestrian traffic despite having an order on hold. Called the store from the gate and was told I was SOL and nothing can be done, was told to come back later in the evening or Monday. They really should keep the village open to public during the Grand Prix, or bring in an extra staff member to run orders to people who can’t get in. Wasted several hours today trying to get this item and will have to come back again. Also, LBPD parking enforcement officer who was working right near the village stores was very rude, yelled at me while I was walking to the stores, despite another officer having given me the directions on where to go which I was following. Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, no one seems to have or be able to communicate correct information. Fail all the way around.

No Parking, No Parking, No Parking. Dont waste your time driving here for a hat. The parking lots are always full and the nearest other place to park leaves you with a One Mile walk just to arrive at your destination. Find another hat store that offers parking.

Do not shop here if you have your family with you! As soon as we walked through the door the clerk at the front desk said “y’all can’t be in here with icecream!” No, hello welcome to the village hat shop? Or atleast a hello! As soon as you walk through the door you get greeted with pure attitude, the clerk seemed more like a bouncer at a club than a sales clerk. She was more concerned with what she was reading behind the counter than offering basic customer service! I asked a price and all she could tell me was the hats start at $150 I don’t know if it was because of my race or because I came in with my wife and kids.! Total disappointment!! I’ll take my money elsewhere!!!

I m gonna have to take them to court because of misleading practices...theirs a no refund policy once you walk out of the door, even if you re walk outside change your mind. Once they got your money, thats it...swapmeet practices, and when you asked for someone to contact or call they tell you theirs no one to call or contact, and that you have to take them to court because its a civil matter....

I was looking for a leather hat as a gift when I traveled to the west of the United States, and other souvenir shops were selling only toy-like hats. beret. I was selling a lot of wool hats.Leather hats seem to be in the price range of 70 ~ 80 dollarsThe beret is on sale for clearance, so I bought it for almost half price!I think a woolen hat for women is about $ 50!There seems to be a lot of comments that things are not good, but I was not bad.The staff was so friendly that I didnt notice that I was picking them for a long time.The atmosphere around the shopping streets is so good that I recommend going to the shops and seeing them when sunsets.
