Beat pet store in the area hands down. Skip the big box and go local for great products and super fair prices. My dogs particularly like the freeze dried duck heads.

The staff are very helpful and informative and its a better option to buy small pets from if you prefer to avoid larger chain pet stores. There is a wide array of small rodents reptiles and arachnids. Their fish are well kept and rarely ever have disease outbreaks the second they have a sick fish they tag the tank and mark them as not for sale and treat them. I love the store the staff and the quality and will be a repeat customer for years to come.

Good selection of products, amphibians, fresh water fish! Much nicer to browse than Petco or PetSmart.It was a nice place to walk through when in town.Salt water tanks were near empty, though!

Nice place, got some driftwood for my tank and it was a good deal. All animals looked healthy. They even agreed to let me post a flyer for the GPAS Fishtoberfest event in October so I really appreciate that.

Awesome locally owned pet store in downtown Longview. They carry a vast selection of items for all kinds of animals. They have a large aquarium section with plenty of different fish to choose from; supplies for gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc; as well as plenty of different foods and accessories for your cats and dogs the staff is always extremely friendly, and knowledgeable and helpful if you need it. They also offer dog grooming services if that is your need

Went in today to get an aquarium set up. Lady standing at the counter in the fish area didnt acknowledge us. She didnt offer a hello or even a smile. She was so busy with her phone that we decided to go elsewhere so we could get the help we needed. The poor cashiers were slammed too. She obviously wasnt worried about customers since she wasnt even wearing her mask on her face. Everyone hates them but it doesnt mean keep it on your chin when customers are nearby.

I absolutely love my African Black Knife fish. Hes quite the eater on his feeding days. He loves the log he has but Im excited to upgrade soon! The guys who helped us were super knowledgeable and if they didnt know they just would tell us that they didnt. I love petworks! We acquired a bearded dragon and the staff there helped us right away.Recomended only the absolute necessities and even printed and highlighted information she thought was important for us to know.She sent us elsewhere to get the recommended food so it wasnt like they were the only option. The Pet Works is a unique pet store. They carry the only brand of dog food my dog will eat. No other pet store in town carries the brand. They offer only high quality pet foods and pet items which I appreciate. There are reptiles, and a variety of fish, hamsters, mice, and adorable dumbo rats. Rabbits when its that time of year. Cute lion rabbits! The store is always clean and has like a vintage feel to it with wooden flooring. Really cool place to shop. The customer service is always nice and I feel welcome there. Ive been shopping at The Pet Works for 20 years and have never been disappointed :)

Even though when I came in they were out of the feeder rat selection that I was looking for, the nice lady at the counter on Tuesday, Oct 8th at around noon offered to write my name down to let me know immediately when the shipment comes in! This place has an awesome selection of pet supplies. They have great prices and excellent service.

Good prices but thats about it. I really only come for saltwater fish and supplies but not much fish or corals to choose from. Every fish Ive ever purchased from here doesnt last long. Water quality is poor and tanks are dirty. BIG aiptasia problem! Staff doesnt know much about the saltwater - always refered to speak with the one guy there thats knows prices of corals or even what they are, but he never seems to be around - only seen him once in the last 6 visits. Good for basic supplies but I definitely dont recommend purchasing anything live from the saltwater tanks.

Great shop, generally cheaper prices than the other big stores. Excellent customer service. I go there often for crickets, but today I bought a fish tank setup that was large and awkward and the young man that helped me carried it all the way down the street to my car for me. Along with the gravel and my weekly crickets it would have been two trips for me, much appreciated!

I get my guinea pig and rabbit food here. Not too expensive for pellet food and theyve got a buyer program that gets you a free bag of oxbow after every 6th bag. Good inventory and super friendly staff!

This is the best pet store. I remember going as a child and loved it then. Recently I set up a new fish tank, they tested my water, made expert recommendations, and were extremely helpful and friendly throughout my experience. Even with a screaming toddler in tow. Looking forward to returning soon.
