Paid to get my rear brakes changed in April, I havent driven more then maybe 10 miles on it and they already needed to be replaced. Looks like they were never CHANGED! I think I have more trust on the local mechanics then here. Thought because they were a big company they would be more reliable.

This location is permanently closed. There is a sign that at some point it will open as a different auto parts store, no date is listed. Not that it matters much but the one star is because this location has a phone number that still answers and lies about the store being open. There is no option to speak with a real person. Dont let pep boys fool you into driving to this permanently closed location.

We are here to get an oil change and brakes. Im with my Mom and she is elderly, now the complaint that I have that, the employees dont greet customers, I dont even see a smile and we been been here since 8:00 a.m. since they open. Not cool at all.
THIS PEPBOYS IS CLOSED PERMANENTLY! Went 7/13 their car service department seems to be open and working but their store is gone and closed! PULLED up as a UPS was delivering he said it was closed and was gonna be something else so he was just delivering stuff to them! but it looks empty inside now! Call to verify! Drove 30min for noting.

Simple math and customer etiquette problem here. If the cost to patch a tire get a wheel balance and wheel alignment is $135 (the wheel balance and alignment was their “strong recommendation”) and the cost to just get a new tire with installation is $196, wouldn’t you AT LEAST recommend just getting a new tire, especially if your not confident the patch will hold? Long story short within two weeks of getting my tire patched I brought it back in to which they replaced it with a new tire. Air started leaking almost immediately after the first time we brought it in, but hey I was on vacation over the week and wasn’t able to bring it in immediately. I express this to the service manager to see if I can at least get a discount on a new tire, not free, not a total reimbursement just a reasonable discount, to which he said no. It’s not like I went off roading, I barely drove it in the next two weeks. So most likely either the patch wasn’t good or you should have recommended a new tire in the first place. That’s very disappointing customer service in my opinion and you’ve lost more in the long run than the little $200 you got off me, because I’m not coming back again.Cherry on top, each time they said they would call me when my car was done, I had shown up before I got a call with my car already done. 5 hours later with a 9 am appointment…
I went there today to do my Lyft car inspection with a really nice guy called Jesus who was prompt to attend me and gave me all instructions about the procedures that I had to make in my phone before they took the car to make the inspection. When I was done with the information on my phone Jesus right the way contacted me and made the inspection as soon as possible, I got good time and felling there with the fast service provided.

This location has average customer service, but the labor charges are very high. You could probably find something cheaper AND with better customer service.Theyll get your car fixed for a higher than average price in a longer than average time.Id look at other options first.
I popped in early this morning to purchase a new battery for my Fiat 500c and ended up leaving with a few extra girly, bedazzled accessories. The added bonus was my cash savings of over $75 after the friendly, courteous, and helpful sales associate applied the in-store coupons. At 45 young, I realize that girls still wanna have fun, so live your BEST LIFE despite all your obstacles.
Made a appointment for Ac service several days before hand, was told it would be no problem. The day I got here, I waited in line for 20 min, to be told they cant even look at the AC. They didnt even give a good reason why. Terrible customer service.
If you want to get scammed, then by all means do busniess with them. I took my car in becuase it kept overheating. I paid for the daignostic test and they told me that the issue was with the head gasket and that it would be a bit over $2,000 to fix it. I took the car home and left it parked in my driveway while I consdidered my options. I went back to this same location to run another diagnostic test and some how magically the head gasket is perfectly fine, but now the entire transmission is the problem. I have both diagnostic reports, and the staff had the audacity to claim that they never did the first diagnostic test and that they wouldnt change the results. I have the proof in my hands. Do not trust them, horrible experience all around from their terrible car service to their customer service. They are LIARS and SCAMMERS!
I had a 12 noon appointment I arrived 15 before my appointment. The individual who attended me said 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. So my wife and I went for 1 hour and a half stroll when we get to the pepboys individual says 2 more hours because apparently they didnt have the tires I purchased the day before. After an incredible ⁴ hour wait they still managed to keep all my tire air plugs. The incompetence is incredible here.its a pity how you have to give a business a star when clearly they dont deserve one at all.
Canceled my appointment 28 mins before I was due to arrive. I received an email notice. Thankfully I had my notifications turned on. Called to see why, they said they were busy. I asked why I received an email notification that said “Sorry you didn’t make your recent service appointment...” (I was on my way to the appointment that hadn’t occurred yet).The gentleman on the phone tells me corporate must have canceled it. I let him know I was already on my way. He tells me it’ll be an hour wait if I still want to show up. I ask if it is common for them to send emails that say customers missed appointments that hadn’t happened yet. His response was “he doesn’t know.”Incredibly poor customer service. Gas is expensive and I left work early to make this appointment (That I apparently miss in the future???).
Horrible service, go to any other pep boys. I left my car there for brake pad replacement and when I called to check on a update or time to pick up no one answered. I called 5 times and still no answer. I decided to go down for myself to see what was going on. A attendant named Migule was giving me and my wife grief about wearing a mask. They clearly have sign outside that says vaccinated ppl do not have to wear a mask which we were, and told him but he still said we needed a mask. We attempted to pay with our pep boys card and the Migule said its expired and said we have to call all the while in between lecturing us on wearing a mask. My wife called and the person on the phone said they need to speak with someone at the store so she put the phone on speaker and told Migule they need to speak with him. He refused to take the phone call. My wife had enough of his bad attitude and asked for someone else who could help us. A gentleman named Julio was more friendly but still seemed unsure how to go about the situation. In that moment a blond haired blue eyed white girl walked into the service office with no mask and the employee Migule helped her and told her nothing about wearing a mask. My wife pointed that out and was furious. We did not receive that same treatment as a hispanic couple. My wife let them have it because it was plain wrong what they did. Julio helped my wife with the issues and we paid and left but with a experience that we wont forget. I personally work in customer service and I know that you dont treat paying customers that way. Avoid this pep boys.
They are very slow and unorganized, had an appointment for 2:30, 4pm the car still there, asked for help, the guy (Julio) was the only one who was willing to help and answer a single question, and at the end because they are busy it’ll be ready at 5 . So I don’t get it what’s the difference between booking an appointment or walk in, they don’t respect people’s time . Go there if your car stop running right there on Washington blvd, if you can go somewhere do it cuz time is much more valuable

Their appointments don’t matter. I got told I had to wait 3-4 hours for an oil change, after I had waited 40 minutes in line to register myself. Please don’t waste your time and go somewhere else. First and last time going here.
This place has very unprofessional service. I’ve tried to have patience and understanding as it’s the closest shop to me and SHOULD be convenient but often ends up being the opposite. First of all, when you make an appointment online, there is NO consideration for what you’re coming in for and no preparation. On three separate occasions I’ve made appointments online just to be told when I got there that they had no one in to do that service and that I need to come in a DIFFERENT day.Furthermore in my most recent experience, they’ve kept my car for 2 WEEKS with no real time updates. I called every day for a week and all I got was “we’re still working on it. There’s rust.” But NO PROGRESS has been made day by day. There’s no transparency and no consideration of priority if a car has been in their shop for so long, there’s no urgency to get the job done.Phone calls are only answered 1/3 of the time and each time I try to call I need to hang up an call again just to speak to someone. This place needs to clean its act up and get it together.

ZERO service & no customer service skills. I arrived & couldnt get a hold of anyone ... nobody acknowledged my presence for over 20minutes ... They ignored me & the fact that I had an appointment. When I was finally able to get a hold of someone they told me Id have to wait 1.5 hours for an oil change regardless of my appointment and the fact that I had already been there for nearly 30mins ...
They asked me to wait for two hours after my appointment time to take care of my car.
The wait time just to get helped is extremely long. There is little communication from the employees they just have everyone waiting in line but no one is saying anything like I know its taking long but please bare with us, etc. theyre just not talking to anyone and doing their own thing.
Ive been shopping at Pep Boys for probably about 40 years and Ive always loved Pep Boys theyve always been good to me the workers are very kind I guess and you know everybody has a good day and a bad day so thats I mean everybody has a good day bad day thats all you know anyway its been fun going to your store I really hate that you are closing but what can I do Life goes on.. 👍✌️😎
Very good location but low on many items including car covers and canopies. They have always been my ho to spot for canopies with the 10x20 carlogic canopy theyve had for years.
Logan in service department was great. Had phones ringing........techs coming at him with paperwork or questions and while running solo around 5pm......kept his cool......multi task and helped me out with an account financing issue and got me on my way. Need to give this guy some help or promote him for being great!!!

Just as others have said, the wait time is terrible. Had a 330 appointment but that doesn’t mean anything here as They didn’t even start servicing the vehicle til 5pm.In addition, the front desk gave me inconsistent information to check in. First they told me to wait in line and someone will come see me. I waited 30 mins waiting for someone and no one showed. Then I went back in and another person said I was supposed to be checked in by the front desk.If you can, avoid this place and save your time.
I had to get a smog check at a smog check place not associated with Pep Boys. I failed the smog check. I took my car to Pep Boys and they were the nicest people I have met!!!!!!!! They took care of me like royality!!!!!!! I had to have many many sensors replaced to pass my smog check. My car is over 12 years old so it was expected that parts do ware out.I was told the results of the diagnostic tests, given a quote on the on the work needed to be done, how long it will take for the repairs and was given discounts that I was qualified for especially as a senior citizen and Federal worker. I was kept posted on everything being done. I got my car back in a timely manner!!!!!!!I cant say enough good about how pleased I was about the work done on my car and how I was treated!!!! PepBoys was great! Needed a Car Cover that wasnt in stock for my Ford Mustang.Pep Boys ordered at 10:00am I picked it up 3 hours later. 30 days ago they did the same for my 1968 Firebird. Thats why Ive shopped at Pep Boys on a weekly basis since I came to CA in 1970.(pep boys in ElMonte was my first experience) Wheels and Tires for my Corvette.They are honest,friendly, helpful and reasonable prices on top of the line products. I love Manny, Moeand Jack!

They don’t honor appointments made online same day and leave you waiting 30 minutes for them to let you inside to tell you that. Choose literally anywhere else.
There are times when pep boys will have parts nobody else carries and for less money than online. Cons: (at least for me) the hollywood service department attempted to replace my timing chain and Destroyed my motor. Then couldn’t get it right after several attempts. I highly recommend the parts department though. And I’m sure tuneups and oil changes, brakes etc they do just fine.
The customer service is no good and Miguel is very rude and they do not have any type of respect for people that come in for service.
Never ever come here! Would give zero stars if possible. Quoted one price and was never communicated with that it would be a different price. Came to get my car and it was hundreds more and they talked down to me when I expressed I was upset. Called corporate and Reported them to the BBB instantly. Avoid at all costs.
I had an appointment for 10:00 I got there 10 minutes before 10:00 I had to sit for 2 hours and I had to call a manager and one of the guys was so rude most of the guys except the white guy he wasnt rude but the other ones were very rude.
Julio gives good costumer service.
They worked on my car for the first 30 minutes. After that they didnt touch my car for a hour and a half. I complained and they continued to work on it. It was done in 30 minutes and I seen the mechanic drive off thinking he was test driving it. 30 minutes past and I went to go see where my car was and they didnt know. They couldnt find my keys so maybe theyre still test driving it. I walked around the parking lot and found it parked in a corner. I told them I found it parked and they couldnt give me a reason why it was sitting there. They searched for about 10 minutes and found my keys. I had a appointment at 8am to change my break fluid and didnt leave until 11:30am. Jose Garcia was the one who worked on my car.
Oil Change and Tire rotation at Pep Boys was so easy and fast.The guy at the window was very personal and proffetional.Since I had an appointment it took about an hour for the oil change and tire rotation.Defenetelly I will recommend it....
Very disappointing, their site says one thing then you go to get it and then the store is closed for renovations, then found out that their going to be a service department.
I was given A++ service from start to end!! Everyone was very helpful and courteous especially the Manager Jorge(pardon if misspelled) who helped me locate the part I needed in a very fast and efficient manner plus the store was very well kept and clean!! Will definitely be back and recommend this store to others!!

If Im being honest, Ive given this location several chances on customer service in the auto repair center. Im confident in saying that their customer service is the absolute worst out of all the Los Angeles locations. They dont even say Hello which is literally the most basic thing. The gentlemen who run the desk seem as though they dont want to be bothered with customers and they will literally leave you just standing at the desk. I dont know if its because Im a woman or because Im a woman who also happens to be Black. Who knows really...but I know that I will not be returning whatsoever. Im not sure who manages that location but it needs improvement.

Waited in line for 20 minutes to drop off my car. 0 communication from the office about what was happening to my car. Kept being told someone would call me back and never did while my car was with them for 24 hours.
Not only did it take 3 days for a diagnostic test with an appointment, but they also broke me of the teeth on my OBD port

Redondo Beach location is the only trustworthy shop I’ve been to. The other locations I have been it have try to upsell me things that were totally unnecessary. So if I have to recommend a Pep Boys to anyone it will be 100% Redondo Beach Pep Boys. Thanks for the great service.
Bad customer service very rude and unprofessional
Expect to wait for a long time even if its for something basic like getting new tires. I had my appointment at 9am, checked in at 8:30am and was done just before 11am. They like to work on your car in 15min intervals because they take so many breaks. Customer service was OK.

Ive been here many times for services. Friendly staff and Ive never had a problem. Today for a tire change, they didnt have the ones I needed but were able to order them and have them installed later in the day. All employees had facemasks which was great. Overall great service every time. Ill continue to go to this location.
I did the brake fluid change service at this place. But they literally didn’t change the fluid at all. The brake fluid is dirty, black after they changed. I brought my own brake fluid. They literally just charged me the money of brake fluid change and stole my own brake fluid.

Early morning is the best time to go for the best all around quality service. A Good place to get the work done that you need, but the quality of costumers service depends on who you are talking to. Most worker are very clear and helpful while a few of them are not. So just make sure you ask questions. They also have a good setting space if you decide to wait there.

Ordered 4 tires online with confirmation that tires were in stock same day (09/10/19). Appointment made for 8:30am Wednesday, 9/11/19.Arrival 8:25am on 09/11/19 and front end staff (Byron and mechanic w/ out name tag) inform me that the tires are not available and that they have no control of online orders. They have no way of checking the status of the tires and that maybe they should be arriving in the next shipment for 10am or 12pm, same day.They question the validity of my order and ask if I received confirmation about my tires being in stock when online services state they’re in stock and ready for pick up same day.After two separate search attempts, the cashier has found the tires in the back.For a company that offers online pay, you should inform and train your employees so that this doesn’t happen to other customers.The work performed was mediocre at best. They returned the vehicle with tire sealant residue all over each tire. Soon after receiving the vehicle, I was driving on the freeway noticing that the one of the tires seemed unbalanced. The vehicle was shaking quite a bit and that was not happening before. After pulling off and checking the pressure of all 4 tires I found that they were inflated to well over 55PSI when the spec on the vehicle is 44F/48R.The specifications for the tire pressure are listed on the inside of the drivers door well and I’m sure they have the same information in their database. Simple things like this make me question the competence of the service employees as well as managements minimal training. Guaranteed I will not be back to this location or any other Pep Boys locations. ✌️
Worst experience I had with them today. These agents have bad attitudes, doesnt communicate amongst each other, and fails to return calls. Called corporate to make a complaint had to wait almost five hours to get a call back to speak with someone to be hunged up on. SO NOT HAPPY WITH THIS LOCATION NOR THIS COMPANY!!!!
This place lost my keys. As in gave them to another customer and has not answered any of my calls since losing my keys or returned a call back. This was on a Wednesday it is now the Monday after and I am still without my keys. Absolutely horrific experience. Go literally anywhere else.

There are thousands of mechanics to choose from in LA - but I wouldn’t even think to take my car elsewhere for easy oil change or anything related to my wheels/tires. John, the technician, is such a great guy - as is the rest of the team. Knowledgeable, great inventory, and no scams! I had a tire go flat and someone could have easily ripped me off and told me to replace the tire altogether- but instead they thoughtfully showed me the piece that had broken and replaced it for like, less than $10. Unreal. I recommend this spot to everyone. And if you’re bored waiting for the work to be done (Bc they do get busy! Duh! Great mechanics should be busy!) walk up Hoover to La Flor de Yucatán Bakery for the best damn pastries and tacos de cochinita pibil. Anyways - I’ve got major love for the Pep Boyz. Thanks guys!!
My low rating and discontent is with the counter attendants. Specifically the Caucasian older guy that will NEVER take walk ins, no matter how early you get there. He has the worst attitude and customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. I honestly can’t understand how He’s still employed with Pepboys. Anytime I’ve visited he has gotten into big arguments with other customers. The only reason why I still come here, is because I trust the mechanic I’ve been coming to for the last 10yrs. But if he keeps giving me poor customer service anytime I come in I’ll definitely take my business elsewhere. I’m paying a good amount of money for their services and all I ask for is at least fair customer service.

Miguel, the manager that helped me, I have never encountered anyone so arrogant and unwilling to help or be polite to customers. Either a bad day or a very bad customer service. I stopped for a brake change. I did not have an appointment and still they took me in. So Im appreciative for that. But the way I was spoken and treated by Miguel makes you wonder about bringing my business here again. Other pepboys Ive had an amazing experience. But once again, this is not the way to deal with your customers. Basically he responded to me with hand gestures and single words
Terrible place, these people are scam artists. I asked them if they did a type of work and they said yes. I got it done and they seem to have a problem fixing it. Finally they said it was good and it seemed to be fixed but 15 minutes later the problem that was fixed was again not working. When i brought it back they tried to blame the new part was faulty i got from another store because they didnt have the part at there store. They are not reliable people working here and are trying to keep the place open by cutting corners and hiring people that dont know what there doing. I could go on but ill leave at im out 80 bucks and my car is still not fixed.
I was told I needed a part ordered for my ac and I would have to leave my car the whole day since it wouldn’t arrive until the end of the day. I asked if we could place the order and have it done tomorrow morning and they said that was fine. Came back today and they told me I’d have to leave my car all day today to get the part put in. So what was the point of having me come back a second day to make me wait all day again?
Great customer service! everyone was really helpful. Adrian Ozuna Service Manager #612 was very helpful! I purchased four tires for my car, little did I know the tires I had purchased were not the correct ones for my car. So Adrian took his time letting us know and explaining the pros and cons of purchasing those tires and gave us options to choose from. I appreciate Adrians honesty, and patience with us. and through out our whole experience he found ways to accommodate us, both in purchasing our tires and how to make our purchase easier. Again great service will definitely step back into that place!
Charged me $100 for a diagnostic service that literally was the same as what my code reader told me before I came in and told me I needed $9000 in repairs. Demanding a refund.
They have technicians that are clueless about your car and then will try to rip you off on some bs work. If you have some knowledge about your car trust me you are better off doing the work yourself.
