I would recommend this business to anyone. Sako is one of the most trustworthy mechanics I know and actually looks out for customers. He helped me find a durable car and I have not had any major problems with it since. Service is always quick.

All I did was call to see if they had any time today to do a smog and an oil change in my 2013 Ford see Max. The guy who answered the phone told me he was slammed, but would be happy to do it anytime tomorrow and will give me a deal for having to wait. We had some more conversation about my car and why I was getting it smogged, but that’s not what’s important. What is important, is the guys attitude, his kindness, his politeness, his knowledge about what I needed to do and his overall professionalism. Everything about this guy was over-the-top amazing. Somuch so that when we hung up I had to call him back and ask for his name. The guys name is Sako and I will be there tomorrow and get it all done by A1 just because of the simple phone call. Great job!!

I started coming to A1 Auto a couple years ago after a friend told me they were really honest and good, and I saw that the reviews confirmed that. They have been great! The first time I went to them they offered a much cheaper fix to an issue than Hyundai had quoted me. They often tell me that my car *does not* need something, which is great. So when they tell me I need something, I definitely believe them and the costs are much lower than Hyundai for most things. Sako is great!

Trustworthy mechanic with more fair prices than you can find elsewhere. Only comparable shop in LA is in Glendale, J&E. Both of these shops are “family mechanics”. Top notch. I lived in Culver City for close to 15 years and never stopped in this Auto Shop.I was in and out of there in 30 minutes for a smog certificate. I really enjoyed speaking with the manager He is professional by nature and all around a good human being and good mechanic.Highly Recommend!

Its hard to find an honest mechanic. Took my car in when it wouldnt start. Sako calls me, says car decided to start working again all on its own, no work needed. I feel most mechanics would have invented a problem to solve, but not this one. I moved across town recently, but still make the trip here every time.

An Honest mechanic is not easy to find these days Sako is the real deal! I am having a check engine egr problem which can be expensive to fix. Left the car for a few hours and Sako told me that my motor mounts were totally shot. Sako suggested that the mounts might be the entire problem because upon testing there was vacuum in the egr system until the motor mounts made the loud noise. Thanks for the help!

I came in here because they have the best Yelp and Google reviews out of so many available places. I went in for struts and they pointed out another issue my car had to get fixed. They were straight forward and polite. Prices where fair and less than I expected. I had to get the issue fixed before my struts but you bet Im going to come back asap to get that fixed as well. Inwish they opened Sundays so I could get more stuff checked out by them, but they deserve their days off.

Finding a mechanic can be one of the most stressful things a person has to do. You have to consider not only their skill and speed, but also their integrity. I moved to LA and have no family or network here, so I was completely in the dark - and then I found this shop. Sako, one of the two mechanics that own this shop, knows his stuff 100%, and he was honest with me every step of the way. I had my car serviced last year to pass a smog check - which it did - and then just recently my struts completely blew out and my front axles and wheel bearings needed replacement (I drive an 03). He walked me through each part and the price, and with everything including labor he charged me 1/4 the price of what a friends *trusted* mechanic quoted me. Yes, it was costly, but he made it painless and I trust his service.I will only ever go here for the rest of the time that I live in LA, no matter what car I drive. A1 Auto Repair is honest and they are skilled, period.

Sako gave me an honest estimate of the work that would have to be done, called me to tell me what parts I needed and showed me the damaged parts he removed that were causing the engine malfunction. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, you don’t need to take anyone’s word for it coming here. Sako not only fixed my car (328i BMW), but he also kept the old components that got switched out and showed me in detail what components failed and why. I’ve personally never had a mechanic do that voluntarily for me and I can tell you that they’ve definitely earned my trust and I’ll be coming back here now time and time again. Highly recommend anyone to give these guys a try.

I got there 10 minutes before they closed searching for the closest smog check place.The gentleman said he already shut off his computer and was leaving early.In short, show up at your own risk because business hours apparently are flexible here.

I went here originally because it was the closest mechanic I could get towed to but after the A+ service, reasonable prices and the owner’s honesty I found my new go to mechanic. I now take my car there for every mechanical need.

Sako and Al are good friends and owners- it shows in their care and compassion for every customer that walks through their door. I came purely for convenience and what I thought would be a one time smog check. I was ultimately wrong. This is my go-to auto repair place. When I moved out here I needed to find a mechanic that I could trust. Sako and his guys are great! They have fair prices and usually have good availability. Highly recommended!

These guys are legit. Fixed a smog-related issue that no other mechanics could figure out.

A1 is highly recommended. Socco and his mechanics really know what they are doing. Socco does let you know what needs to be done and whats a good idea to get done while your car is there. Their prices sometimes seem really low and other times on the high side, but Its all good. After all is said and done they do the job right and I trust them.

I came here through a referral. Although inconvenient for me (Im use to having my car maintenance done at the dealer) to have to drive into the city, I gave it a my first try.

The team at A1 are incredible. I took my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo there when other shops wanted to charge me an arm and a leg, to just do a diagnostic. Sako, and the Team were honest and didnt try to get money from me on un-needed repairs, hard to find this kind of integrity in a Repair Shop. I am so Lucky I found them, you truly can TRUST what they say, and their pricing is the BEST in TOWN. They truly take Pride and Love what they do, they make you feel like family, not just a customer. .Truly cant say enough GOOD things about A1..I will continue to bring my car there for all future repairs.

Sako is the most reliable mechanic I have ever seen. I purchased a used car from another dealer and drove it to A1 do a smog check and full car inspection next day. Sako was the person who helped me check my car. He noticed my check light wont light and there is a code P275 for computer test. Sako told me the car will cost me around $2000-3000 for the transmission next year. He also told me to return the car to the dealer, and he is not going to charge me for the car inspection. Im really appreciated.

Saved my car, I bought a used Volvo SUV and it all the sudden it stopped working water pump broke engine broke the dealer would not take it back, ater finding out the cost to fix with a few mechanics in various areas, I was going about to take my loss give the car for parts, my best friend told me to take my Car to A1 Auto Repair, were I meet with Sako and Albrik who fix my car got a transmission redone and car driving for a affordable cost my car drives like new! A1 Complete Auto Repair says it all in the name!! Albrik & Sako are A1. Their business card says FAST, FAIR and HONEST. They uphold that standard with the highest regard. They are friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. I could right an entire book about how awesome they are, so Ill keep it brief and to the point. I took my VW Jetta to them to have my back brakes done. While fixing my back brakes they found that my front brakes werent done right. The driver side brake had a kink in the hose. The passenger side brake was rubbing the shock. What a mess!! Albrik told me he needed to make it right and would keep it over night. At first I wasnt sure what to expect thinking more work more money and it would go over the initial quote, but to my surprise it was only $20 more!! While talking to him about what he had showed me I mentioned that my control arms were probably broken since it sounded horrible anytime I entered my driveway. He said it would more than likely just be the bushings and would confirm in the AM. Rather than up-selling and saying I would need new control arms, ball joints and bushings which would cost $300, he confirmed that I just needed the bushings which were ONLY $36. I have never felt so comfortable with any shop in my life as I have with A1. It took them one day to not only fix my back brakes but the control arms which were added after they found the issue with the front brakes. All my friends and family will be referred to them for any vehicle repair. All shops should learn from the best in the business. See you next time I need car repair. I was on my way to change my spark plugs at another foreign auto body shop when I saw his banner on the side of the National Blvd. offramp and decided to stop in for one last price comparison.... IM SO GLAD I DID! Sako is one of the most pleasant mechanics Ive had the pleasure of meeting! He offered to diagnose my BMW for free to determine whether we actually had to change my spark plugs, and beyond that, he even game me a discount. Maintaining foreign cars definitely isnt cheap, but at least it can be convenient now that Ive met Sako.
