Update: PayPal decided in my favor. At first everyone was nice up until I wanted to return a belt due to damage. I originally purchased a Korean style hat, yarn bundle, and a belt. If you look at the charm on the belt, it is CLEARLY chipped. But back to the story: They canceled my hat purchase because there was a stain on it, and refunded me for that but not for the shipping of the hat that never got shipped. So they basically kept my hat shipping money even though they never even sent it. Same thing with the yarn thread. I canceled it due to their, no returns policy (WHICH, BEWARE, because they dont let you know if a product is damaged before they ship it to you and still say that their policy is NO RETURNS.). Anyway they kept my yarn bundle shipping money even though the order got canceled and they never shipped it. I specifically told the owner to please check over the tassel belt as I dont want there to be any problems due to their ridiculous returns policy. She didnt say anything was chipped and sent the belt over. I told everyone the issue. They act like Im crazy and that its not damaged due to it being a handmade item. Correction: the thread is handmade, NOT the stones which is imprinted from a molding from a machine. The charm was a factory defect. I explained this and they said they are willing to accept the return just this one time, with the owner saying that Im a mom and I bought it for my babys first birthday. That was nice up until she said I had to pay return shipping out of pocket. Which proper etiquette would be for the business to cover the return shipping if the item is being returned due to a machine defect. To this day they still have not given me back my shipping money for the hat and yarn that I never received since it was canceled. They NEVER shipped it out and are still keeping shipping money for that as well. But they try to make it all seem like its my fault, as if the belt is not even damaged. Look at the picture towards the bottom of the charm, everyone. Oh and if you cant speak Korean youre screwed on asking about item details. Because NO WHERE on their website do they give detailed descriptions of the belt or many other items for that matter. So I had to do my best with my limited Korean speaking ability just to ask questions about items.UPDATE: THE GIRL THAT ANSWERS EMAILS. JUST BY WORKING THERE SHE REPRESENTS LEEHWA BUT WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE TO ME. I POSTED A PICTURE OF HER EMAIL......The girl that answers their emails is insanely rude. Like its extremely unprofessional. Just because I let her know that Ive escalated the case to PayPal, she emphasized the word truth as if I were lying, which is bull. and not have to deal with you ever again... she says. WOW!!!! WHO WRITES THAT TO CUSTOMERS? ITS IMMATURE AND RUDE!!! If I had a high-end small business I would fire her for her rudeness. Its unacceptable just because a customer let her know that the case was escalated to PayPal. Hopefully they will get me my shipping money back. I would never recommend this place to anyone, because apparently it is the customers fault if they receive a damaged item, and they try to lie about it just because they went over it and missed that damaged detail and dont want to admit the humanly mistake of simply missing that damaged part while looking it over. If you want to go through the hassle I am going through with opening a PayPal case and dealing with the rude brat over email, by all means purchase from Leehwa, otherwise, proceed with much caution and have decent Korean speaking ability since the owner doesnt speak english at all even though her place of business is located in an ENGLISH SPEAKING STATE: CALIFORNIA. Even my mom who lives in Seoul, South Korea saw the charm and agrees its damaged and is shocked at how I was treated. But if youre going to cater to customers in an English speaking country/state, you should have some capability for clients. My mom is in her 60s and FULL KOREAN and speak english just fine. Which I accept the owner not knowing English but the rudeness;(
LeeHwa has a marvelous selection of stunning designer wedding gowns at various price ranges. Estella (sp?) could not have been more helpful, personable and accommodating for our last minute appointment. I highly recommend this shop!
Sad to be writing this review...I had heard great things about this place, but was taken aback by the poor customer service. My mom drove over to LA to look at some potential hanboks for herself and my future mother-in-law for my wedding. She wanted to go to a few places and do some initial looking to let me know what styles were out there and what she and my future MIL might like. She came back very disappointed because she was met with such rude customer service. Whoever was in the store that day (probably the owner) asked if she wanted to rent or buy. And when my mom said she wasnt sure yet, she was turned out and wasnt even allowed to look at the hanboks. She was very appalled by their attitude and rudeness.Well be taking our business to Hanbok Bidanhyang. My mom also visited that shop, and said the owner was very kind and accommodating. They also have great reviews there.I was surprised to hear about my moms experience here, but I guess they treat brides better than moms. Im sure they have great hanboks, but its too bad well never get to see them.
I just moved to LA less than a month from Taiwan. I was not familiar with the environment at all. I saw lots of good reviews for LeeHwa wedding. At beginning before I went to the shop, I was afraid I couldn’t find a pretty dress that is suitable for me to rent. But when I go inside to the store, I was impressed by so many gorgeous wedding dresses they have. And they really help me a lot to choose my dress efficient and I was really satisfied. And they helped me to schedule other things as well. I felt really safe and convenient for them to arrange things for me.I truly recommend LeeHwa for other brides.
Most beautiful wedding dress collection, specially curated and picked with care. You can truly tell they take care of their bridal gowns, because they all look so clean and brand-new. With both options to rent or purchase, this place is affordable for every bride!
Very nice people and great products. Will be back in the future.
AMAZING experience.I flew in from out of state to get customized hanboks for myself, my fiancé and his mother, my grandmother, and my mom. The moment we walked in the store, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I honestly had no idea what I really wanted in a hanbok and also had no idea about the different pieces that one hanbok has to it. It seemed overwhelming to me at first but Laura took such good care of us and helped us get the best out of each of our hanboks. All explanations were so thorough and with so much patience. Each of our opinions were taken into consideration and I am so glad we made this trip to Leehwa for our hanbok because it was definitely worth it!We will be going back for fitting and I cannot wait to see how beautiful the hanboks will be! My sister and her fiancé will also be making this trip in a few months for their wedding as well. I usually dont really write reviews but I just really wanted to share. Thank you so much for all your help, patience, and service. I really appreciate it!!
Truly the best place to find absolutely stunning and unique wedding dresses and hanboks! I actually was looking for a pageant dress for nationals, and easily found a chic, trendy, and elegant dress that fit me like a glove thanks to the help of the lovely dress specialists here. Their selection of wedding gowns are the best high end gowns from talented fashion designers! I fell in love with all of the beautiful displays of dresses and hanboks the moment I walked into the store. The hanboks were quite the show stoppers as well! From extravagant fabrics and embroidery to modern cuts and one of a kind patterns, I couldnt keep my eyes off of the collection of hanboks. If youre looking for high quality gowns and hanboks with a statement, this is your place!
The largest hanbok store here in Los Angeles, with great options to rent or custom make your hanbok gowns. They also have brand name designer wedding dresses for the modern and elegant bride!
Great Service, lovely variety of materials and beautiful embroidery. Custom Rentals available and can be purchased.Coming back for my Wedding.
Nice selection, but note they limit you to trying 3 dresses even with an appointment. At least thats what happened to me.
Traveling around and love the staff here. Will stop by when in town.
Didnt really get to do anything because my friend wasnt able to visit to try on anything. Gave us ideas but I think eBay woukd be cheaper.
I cant believe I bought a hanbok! :) They were having a clearance sale for hanboks (Original Renting : $150+ /// Original Purchasing : $550 +I think) and bought one for $150 Purchase Price even though they ended the clearance sale. It was fun trying out the outfits, there was no pushiness or rudeness, just nice ladies waiting patiently. It was kind of funny trying to communicate with them, but this store made my day! I asked for a different color pants because ummm... they were hot pink and its funny to see it on guys haha.... but they told me that in Korean culture that its nice to blend colors, which I can accept...Cant wait to wear the Hanbok for my events!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Quality products and superb services
Good place to shop
The people who work here are very friendly
The only thing I thought was that tightrope had lost mannerism in the owners CS.
