I have donated and I have found gems here. Im still looking for the faux riverstone veneer .....Anybody got some? I want some too!π
We finished our remodel some time ago. However, we still had a FULL Bronco of construction materials left over. Even though I showed up late on Tuesday, I came back on Wednesday and worked with Carol and her staff to unload the beast. Apparently we went to the same high school - Franklin! There was a lot of stuff and it weighed a ton. Thanks so much Carol and staff. May have more in the future.Bill
Our refrigerator died. We needed something inexpensive and small while we were deciding on a new one and waiting for delivery. I found a used mini dorm fridge there at a very reasonable price, less than anything I could find used in craigslist. It works well. Habitat to the rescue!
This chain of stores always gives good service but not today. My partner and I walked into this store with a good intention. Just browsing to see what they had. But for some reason the service was not good ! Not sure if they thought we were going to take things but it was a weird vibe! Wanted to purchase a filing cabinet but after sitting out on the side waiting for someone to assist. That never happened π€¨ I did purchase paint in a 5 gallon bucket of paint but when I brought it to the front the cashier moved it away from the register. Strange. After paying for it I mentioned to the cashier where was the paint? It was no where near us. Never had this kinda service from Habitat for Humanity
Prices have gone up to much. And sales girl could have been a bit friendlier
Not sure what is happening with the restore these days but they are getting very picky about what they will accept as donations. I wanted to donate a bathroom vanity that came out of a re-model, it was used and in fairly good contition, Id buy it if I were looking for a project, but no, they only want things that look nearly new.Ive been a big fan of these stores for many, many years but this is getting a bit too picky. By the way, they had one (slightly smaller) in their store but in worse condition ! I wonder what they use as guidelines? maybe the small person who refused it didnt want the work of unloading it.Update: after posting the review I was contacted by customer service and told to go back to the store and mention her name and they would take the item that I was donating. So I went again and was turned away again. I was told that itβs up the manager what they accept, the customer service person didnβt work there and had no say in the matter. So I wasted my time and gas on 2 trips and had to deal with a combative manager who claimed they didnβt have room for a 5 foot vanity, not true, I had already seen their space. So donor beware, they want pictures of your items first to see if they want it or not. I thought that donations were what they make their money from which creates jobsβ¦? I wonβt waste my time with them again, Iβll give things way to those who want them.
Note: Donations only from 9am - 12pm, donβt think that info is posted here or on their website. Hopefully someone will see this and not waste a trip!
Great sale found 2 beautiful parson chairs 50% off $50!!
I love this place. so much stuff at great prices and staff is very nice. We will keep coming back here.
Llll pretty good thats good stuff actually its like a reverse 99 cent store
Super great deals today brand new light fixtures for $5.00....new storage cabinets all wood $25. Amazing deals
Gotta love the ReStore. Friendly people, always helpful, and Ive gotten a lot of great stuff for the house, including high quality antique furniture, obscenely discounted double paned windows, even exterior paint. My first stop for any home project.
Great deals. Employees were friendly and helpful.
Alot of good deals. Hit and miss if looking for specific items
I love this store. Much better than any other thrift store. Also please dont go. I dont want all the good things gone!
Always new donations and very very inexpensive
This store get lots of random stuff. flooring. doors. furniture. windows. bedframes ....
I have been going to Habitat for some time now, ever since the Fair Oaks Avenue store in Pasadena (which is now closed). Ive been a bargain hunter all my life (mama taught me well!) and love the never know what youll find aspect of shopping at Habitat Atwater Village. Im also a big believer in keeping whatever possible out of the waste stream--its truly staggering the things that people throw in the trash nowadays that are perfectly good! By keeping consumer goods out of the waste stream, Habitat is doing the planet (and all of us) a huge service. Not to mention, the proceeds of sales help build housing for folks who might not otherwise have a home. Its a win, on all fronts. In the past Ive found, and bought, room-sized rugs (new and used), office furniture, lighting fixtures, light bulbs and even brand new appliances at a fraction of the cost anywhere else. My single critique of this location is that the Pasadena store had a large selection of recycled/re-usable doors and windows, and this location doesnt seem to have very many. The staff is friendly, and Manny, the manager, is fun to work with and helpful.
Friendly and professional cool little spot to look for stuff
I love this place and stop by when Im in the area even when i dont need something! It gets my creative juices flowing π if you like doing projects around the house this place is a 1st stop before the Home Depot! And the premise of the store is fantastic so much waste hear and to be able to reuse/repurpose is sooo what we all need!!!
Way too picky about donations. They refused a $500 antique 20s-30s bookcase after I went to the trouble of taking it apart and loading it in my truck. Salvation Army was very glad to accept it and thanked me for the valuable donation. Take donations to Salvation Army, they help more people and appreciate the work it takes to bring the donations to them. They lost out on the other 3 loads of antiques as I took them to Salvation Army because itβs just easier and they appreciate it more.
Dont believe when they say they are open. They dont bother to update their website and close randomly. They dont consistently have people to help with donations and signage is poor. I believe in the cause but after being burned twice I will not be coming back to this location.
Awesome place! They have so much cool stuff. We got an outdoor fireplace $25, brand new in the box, unique coat rack and antique tins
This place is incredible. Shhhh! Dont tell!
Alot if great things for building, or place amazing furniture inexpensively ..
Great store. Its amazing all the great deals that you can find here. Worth checking out from time to time as they get all kinds of different things at different times. Theres new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. They are a donation center for excess building materials, the kitchen sink that didnt fit and appliances!! It all helps the Habitat for Humanity cause to build homes.
They are so helpful here, from helping me choose the right drain cleaner to letting me know of a supplier to go to for hard to find parts. They can also make copies of keys, which saved me a trip since they are right down the street from me. And their prices are affordable. Very friendly staff!
10/10. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Emory and staff were amazing. Got the most gorgeous stools for such a steal. THIS STORE IS FABULOUS!!!!
Many & Emory are Great people. They take care of your needs if possible.
What can I say about the best bargain in town and youre helping fund new homes for those people in need, absolutely fabulous. They also have a large amount of construction materials along with furniture and home accessories.
I love This Resale Store, Ive Furnished all 3 of my Bedrooms From Habitat for Humanity Atwater Village Restore. All Staff Are friendly and helpful.
A good place to find discount building materials and supplies, but in order to make the most of your trip you go you should know exactly what you are looking for and exactly how much you need before you go. This is not a store that is conducive to browsing. You likely will have to dig through stacks of unmarked boxes and short though buckets of odds and ends to find what you need (or enough of what you need).
Always a great place to find home necessities along with decor at incredibly reasonable prices!Staff are always helpful, items are rotated regularly, organized chaos with an extra kudos to the warehouse team!
Hidden gems are everywhere here!
They always have interesting and useful stuff. You have to keep going back repeatedly because they get a changing variety of stuff.
Very close to my home.On the way to every place I am goingOften find something I can use at a very good price. Thank goodness!

So happy you moved to Atwater and are open and running already!!! I cant wait for May 2nd when you have your huge sale on everything! I hear that theres food and did someone say Golden Road Brewery was going to be there?
Great to find a bargain
Didnt have time to check the whole store, this is was my first time there, a friend told me about it, but I got what I wanted- a 24 x 77 door for $5. Sweet !!!
Awesome place to volunteer and find cheap cool home decor
It was a fabulous experience, wonderful staff and the prices are incredible! Would visit this location everyday!
Manny is great and a pleasure to work with.
Great place to find unique and useful items at low prices!
I can find great prices and its closer to my home
Dont bring cabinets faces or drawers unless you have the bodies as well.....
Excellent
After measuring etc ... I placed a door on hold for 2 hours as they offered, when my husband returned under 2 hours, with the money and a truck to pick it up they informed me it was sold! The cashier told me she sold it before I placed it on hold(?) it doesnβt make sense because I could have placed it on hold or purchased it at that time!!! What do they do double sell and /or do not uphold their side of an agreement... Very bad business
Good location, variety and a friendly staff.
Ive found great dealsAs a homeowner Ive benefited immensely
Theres nothing good anymore. They used to have a lot of variety of items.
