Good Kosher market, except that staff will not move out of the way when customers are trying to get down isles. The woman at checkout would not get off her cell phone-personal call.
This store is great. I love that non-Jews are as welcome as Jews here. Kosher means quality, clean food for everyone and Western Kosher prides themselves on that standard. If you live mid-city, you must make this your mainstay for grocery shopping.
Very busy. Many prepared apps, veggie and salad dishes, and main meals. Fresh meat available. Dairy case as well. Nice specials on the fresh produce.
I love this grocery store because they are open earlier than others. They have a great selection of their goods, fresh produce, and meats. Their prices also were very more affordable compared to others that I went to before. The staff is nice too and I find it relaxing doing my groceries here compared to other grocery stores. Highly recommended!
Outside of the traffic, Western Kosher Market is a great place for all of your kosher food needs. Its a small store but they have everything from herring, sausages, salads, sauces, all kinds of meats and much more. Ill be back soon.
They dont comply with Covid restrictions, this is a very dangerous place to shop. The vendor try to get me to contact them directly a day after this review. This are the facts: there is no one outside the store controlling the number of people that go into the store therefore this very tight store is impossible to navigate safely as there is no way to maintain a 6 foot distance form anyone. The registers dont have any sort of markers (as the stores do) to get people to maintain distance. the people at the register do not wear gloves or clean surfaces between customers so if some one is infected and touched the mouth or nose that virus will carry to the register worker and to the next customer and the next
Very poor. Yes they have scanners for customer use but this only necessitated by the almost total lack of prices on most or at least many of there products.On the positive side there is case discounts (10%) at least on wine.To try and order something for pickup requires immense patience thanks to a automated answering system. 😪😰
People go here for the meat, but I dont eat much meat, so I dont go here much, and the parking is bad on busy days.

They actually deserve 10 stars, but the most I can give them here is 5. Very fresh and delicious meats. Not sure what they are feeding the animals; the taste of the meat is absolutely fantastic. Its not like other meats you get elsewhere. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you need help finding something just ask. Wide selection of sausages. Highly recommended.
This is the only store i know of in LA that carries raw rhubarb. I am thankful for them, or i might not be able to carry on my annual tradition of baking a holiday rhubarb pie. The prices are high enough here that Im also thankful that the occasion comes but once a year.

I needed an item last time I shoped there, and as soon as I I came in today the guy that I asked from last time remembered !!! and he came to me and gave me the item ! That is unbelievable, Im sure he has so many customer all day, and he remembered that small item that I asked him last time....it was coffee vanilla flavor. ...yami !!!
Tasty yummy food and coffee here and look closely at the wall art light installations. Popular local spot and very worth the walk down town.
A great place to shop for dry and wet goods! I went to this supermarket when I am out of stocks. I bought all I needed in this place. It only took me 20 minutes to finished and paid for all the purchases I had.

Western stands apart from the other kosher markets in ways big and small. Big: the selection of gourmet, organic, and unique products far surpasses any other option in LA. I know I can find hard to find wines, treats, meats and grocery products.Small: knowledgeable staff walking around, not impatient or annoyed when approached by customers. Generous and flavorful portions from the deli dept. The only way I could get a more varied and excellent selection of foods to purchase is if I moved to New York. Il take Los Angeles and Western Kosher anyday :)

I constantly come by grabbing some food in here. I loved the prompt service and well made food. They never disappoint.
Although this whole foods isnt as big as some that I have been to, it is amazing! They have a fantastic buffet style bar that has all types of great food that is ready to eat. They have a great bakery section, deli section, produce section, etc. They always have tons of people working (lots of hot guys) who are always willing to help (they actually volunteer to help), which means great service all the time. The guys behind the fish counter not only help pick the perfect seafood for you, but they give recipes, help find ingredients, and more. They also have a free lot of parking off Franklin as well as a free garage off of California that is attached to Peets coffee and whole foods.

Great Kosher place. Love the sushi, deli hot foods and especially the meats. Best selection and no attitudes. On Fridays the fresh Challah is worth the drive from Orange county.

Living out of town in an area with limited kosher foods, we look forward to our visits to Western Kosher to stock up when we are visiting family in LA. Not only do they have an excellent selection of packaged and fresh products and meats, but they go out of their way to accommodate your special requests. While pricing for kosher goods is never inexpensive, they are quite competitive.

Placed an on-line order for Monday delivery. Was told delivery time late morning/early afternoon; the time important as the order needed to be re-packed and shipped Fedex to an area Western Kosher does not deliver to. As of 3:30PM Monday, no order. When I called to find out when to expect delivery, no one answers the phone ‘due to high call volume at this time’. Any organization providing delivery service should have a functioning system in place to enable recipients to determine delivery status.

We dont have kosher meat available where we live in Camarillo. What is so amazing about this store, is i can put my order in online and they will have it prepared for pickup at a day/time i choose.Either we pickup and their workers load the car or theyll even load it into an uber when i need it to get to another location for its ride up to camarillo.Another plus...theyll freeze the milk or meat so its less of a concern that the perishables will spoil on the long journey!Thanks for the great service.

Western kosher is the only and I mean only place where I buy meat or chkn or anything else from. All their products are fresh smell great and cant wait to take it home and eat it, great. The workers are the nicest and sweetest in town too. Ive never been to a grocery store where all the workers are super nice. I wouldnt go anywhere else. I give WK a five plus stars***************
