YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE DRINK SIZE YOU PAY FOR! YOU ARE PAYING FOR FROZEN WATER = ICE!I have been a loyal customer for the past 5 years. The main reasons that I went there was that I could get a large cup of Thai tea with boba for only $4.50. Unfortunately, as time has progressed, they have continually increased the ratio of ice to tea...The last two times that I had their boba, my husband did me the favor of stopping by to grab my Thai tea after he got off from work. Last week, my large cup of Thai tea w/ boba was about 60% ice cubes. Before my husband got my Thai tea today (7/10/19), I made sure to let him know to get it with no ice.My husband told the woman at the counter that he would like a Thai tea with boba, without ice and a dozen donut holes. She charged him without asking what size drink he wanted. He handed her the $20, and she gave him his change. Then, she got the donut holes for him and rushed to the back to prepare the drink. As she was working on the tea order, he realized he had been charged for a regular-sized Thai tea. He let her know, I actually wanted a large Thai tea and took out the change prepared to pay the difference. She came back with a regular sized Thai tea that wasnt filled to the top and hardly had any boba (see pictures). She replied that she would have to charge SIX DOLLARS FOR A LARGE THAI TEA WITH NO ICE. She let him know that if he wanted to pay the advertised price of $4.50 for the large Thai tea (without ice), she would only fill it less than 3/4 of the way - she showed him with her finger. He was frustrated but didnt want to spend time arguing, as he had just gotten off of work and was exhausted. He let her know that he would just take the regular sized drink that she had already prepared. He told me what happened when he got home. As you can see in the pictures, she didnt even give me a boba straw. She gave me a REGULAR STRAW. Ironically, that was the last straw. I immediately sat down to write this review.I wont be returning due to the false size/price advertising! They should let their customers know that the $4.50 price for the large sized drinks come with over 1/2 a cup of ice. There are PLENTY of other boba businesses around. Their main priority is clearly the lotto customers.
Donuts are so good, but be prepared to know what you want. The owner is very nice. The place is beautifully decorated and it is quite.
Ive been coming here since elementary school, and I hope to be able to come here for the rest of my life. The donuts are by far the best Ive ever had (and Ive tried a lot), the cake donuts are a little bit crispy on the outside, and perfectly baked on the inside. My sister likes the more fancy kind, with custard in the middle, and my favorite is the cake donut with pink frosting and sprinkles :)Donut holes are a very close second though.Writing this review has actually made me want to go get some...and I probably will.
Donuts are so good, but be prepared to know what you want. The person in front (maybe the owner?) can seem a little impatient, but shes very nice.
OMG this place is the best kept secret in Eagle Rock!! As a donut affecianato, I can say these are the best donuts I’ve had in all of LA. Skip Donut Friend in Highland Park... go here!!
