Ordered drapes from Deco Home and paid for installation. When it was time for installation, they increased the installation price by $300 stating that we are further out than they originally thought! We did not change our address from time of ordering to now!!The drapes were not ironed and were totally creased. Also the lining was too long. They tried to make excuses and stated that the creases and the lining will wear out and correct themselves! I refused to accept this and they took them back. We were told that we needed to get 20 more rings. When they were ready to be installed again, I asked them to ensure that the drapes are ironed and presentable. The lining length was corrected but they came back even more badly creased. My wife had to go out for a few minutes and so left the rings on the table. When the installers came, they just hung up 6 out of the 8 drapes, jamming 2-3 hooks on some rings and left. They never bothered calling my wife to ask about the extra rings. When my wife called and spoke to Scott to complain, he became very very rude and threatened to hang up. I emailed Scott to have the installers return to complete the installation properly. He never responded.I had to remove all the drapes, struggling to remove the 2-3 hooks that had been jammed into one ring braeking some rings in the process. We now have to take the drapes to have them steam pressed. This service for which we paid nearly $800. The absentee owner was kind enough to refund $300 but still defended managers attitude and the poor workmanship of the finished product.Never ever will I shop at this business. Poorly kept showroom and rude and unfriendly staff.
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience at this place. Although most of the fabric in the showroom is completely cheesy - I thought I stumbled on the right color for a set of drapes that I needed. The sample in the showroom for this fabric was the size of a postage stamp and they did not have any material in stock. I asked the clerk to please contact the source to see if a sample could be obtained. I waited several days for them to call me back and finally I phoned them to check on the status of things. The clerk told me that the mill would not provide a sample and that I would have to purchase an entire bolt. I asked if I could obtain the brand or mill name so that I might contact another retailer who might have the fabric in stock so that I could obtain a sample. They told me that they would not do that for me. I then asked to speak to the owner and the clerk told me that hes worked at the site for several years and that he would not give me the name of the owner.Im also sorry that I did not consider the Yelp reviews before interacting with these people. These people are very frustrating and unhelpful. I would certainly think twice before engaging them in any complex or expensive decorating project. I cannot imagine how this business remains in-business.
By far every single dollar I spent was worth it. Great Customer service, do not hesitatethis, this is the best place!
Okay place.
