I try to visit Dawah whenever Im in SoCal. Really, its the incense headquarters in LA! I tried a different fragrance this time. Its called Obama.Its an exceptional smelling incense. Of course, I never...light my incense. And this particular one will soon be all the rage. Dawah is good. A word of caution though. Dawah Bookshop has more fragrances for incense, than REI has backpacks. So when picking up some incense there, make sure you bring some ziplock freezer bags, or similar, to seal enclose them inside, after purchase. This way, you wont have any spillage or odor escape in your vehicles.

Bought African Black Soap, all natural deodorant, and a couple of other things. Awesome that Dawah Bookshop is so close. Everyone should check it out!

I love this place. I come all the way from Las Vegas...just for the oil and I have been disappointed. If you have a favorite scent, perfume, anything, this is the place. 10 stars. The prices are reasonable. They good guys. No complaints. I have some of their body oils for two years and it still smells fresh!

My first time there was yesterday I felt welcomed. As I read the reviews on Dawah book store they have more good reviews than bad. The customer service that I received was good but there’s a young lady who works there that kept a frown on her face. I don’t know if that’s her everyday look she just gives off or what. So who looks angry at work I avoid asking them for help. So she didn’t upset me at all. Now I did experience a rude grown male and his mother who basically moved me out of the way from smelling the body oils. Very disrespectful the mother was apologizing but the male didn’t care he just kept asking for certain body oils to smell.

Dawah is the first bookstore I visited here in LA. I gotta say, nothing beats the 2F poetry section. Love the ground floor, too! Each visit to me is like a pilgrimage.

Do NOT buy here...unless you dont care about your online identity and security and theft. Im using my real name so hopefully people know this is not a bogus review. Ive bought from Dawah on a few occasions and for the most part never had any problems. However, the last 2 times I have, my credit has had to been changed due to fraud on my account. I shop at the same places and when its online its always through a verified system such as Amazon or Paypal but with Dawah they take your card number down orally over the phone, process it and you never even get an actual invoice. I think I got an email that was similar to an invoice but again this is due to the manual processing of my card. I like their products because theyre relatively cheap, and relatively good for the price they charge. But identity theft and/or credit card fraud isnt worth ordering from them again at least using my actual cards. If I do decide to order from them again its going to be a prepaid card where Ive loaded the exact amount of what I want to purchase from them and only them and thats it!Dawah- you better clean your act up and find out whose stealing and get rid of them. Stealing is bad karma and if this review hurts your business then good. People have a right to know the risk they run buying through you.

I love Nautica body oil ~ but cant find it anywhere except for this place and this is actually where you can find all the original sense of oils uncut body or for a diffuser ~ also incense ~ books and many many other things ~ they also mail to California prisons and maybe other prisons outside the state they have a lot of different services check with them and see if they have a service that you need ~ its a black owned business

Many Black people STILL fall very short with regards to delivering great customer service. This is one of such businesses. Many of the items dont seem sanitary. The place looks a mess! Some items ridiculously over priced. Now I see WHY I deliberately drove past this place for over 30 years.Update: I gave it another chance a month later and customer service improved 100% I believe that maybe the owner intervened and straightened out suspect imployees...who Incidentally werent there but one. That particular employee most likely has a personality disorder or is an ex substance abuser. I made my purchases and left happier!Thank You to the owner! 😀♥️🖤💚

Best place in LA that consistently carries natural shea butter, soaps, incense and oils. Great book and Islamic garment/ decor section too. You can easily go in for one thing and leave with many other things you did not intend on buying.

A little shabby looking, but they have GREAT hand-dipped incense and fragrance oils. They have several oils to choose from to customize your incense. You can also purchase fragrance oils in bulk there.
