Great hats, great selection, great customer service - what more could you ask for? If you have a need to cover your crown, check these folks out - you wont be disappointed. No parking in site, but theres plenty of parking street side.
Nice place but limited selection. I waited quite some time to visit. But when I finally went the selection was not very good. Hollywood Hatters had literally HUNDREDS of more options. Honestly it was a shame. Their nice salesman told me about the Night Hawk which looked amazing online but I didnt drive two hours to look online.
Service is incredible! Sara is really knowledgeable and always help me pick the right gifts
I have bought close to a dozen Goorin flat caps over the years and until today I would rate customer service in their stores as excellent. Today as I entered the Melrose store the first words out of salespersons moth was sanitize your hands. Fine, Im good with that, but you dont need to bark at me. Then when I said I was looking to replace a black cotton cap, he said they didnt make them any more. I asked if there was anything similar and he pointed to a linen one, but before i could even try it on, he said I could only try on two caps. I replied in my cheeriest tone : Thanks Ill think about it. Have a nice day.
This was our first time visiting this location, and from just walking in, the customer service was the poorest. As you walk in, they are yelling at you from the other side of the store to sanitize your hands and close the door behind you. Not a good first impression. My husband is a huge Goorin Bros. hat collector and when we went to this location to exchange a hat for a different size. Same hat, different size. However, because I had gotten the hat with a sale discount, they wanted to charge the difference of what it now costs which was over twice as much and that it was over the two week timeframe exchange.I explained to Troy (manager at the store) the situation that when I had purchased this order online, my order was never processed properly due to the high demand of the sale and that when I contacted someone from customer service they directed me straight to their store in Atlanta where Ryan (store manager that location) helped me. Troy clearly didn’t believe me and asked to see any email/messaging exchange of this conversation, which I gladly showed him.All in all, the service at this location is far from professional and you can tell their is favoritism over what clients they help as they walk into the store. We may have not fit their client demographic but we do purchase their hats. We have purchased quite a few in the past so to treat us with such patronizing attitude like they did was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Way different experience we have had at other locations. It is unfortunate that the other stores in the LA area are closed where they did get the proper Customer Service training.
My go to for hats. Stylish, well made quality hats. I have been to the Studio City, Melrose and San Diego stores and I have always experienced great customer service. I often bring my hats in for a refresh and the staff knows exactly what to do to. If you take care if these hats they will last a long time including maintaining their shape and appearance.
Nice store, lots of product and helpful staff. Parking isnt as difficult as I thought it would be.
I had never been at a place where such poor customer service was given. The short white guy at the register was very rude since walking in. I think his name was Troy. He was a little short and blonde Ben Stiller wannabe looking guy. He had a very arrogant attitude and demeanor making you feel very uncomfortable while shopping or trying to shop at the store. Every time I asked a question about a hat he seemed flustered about checking if they had my size. I finally just got fed up and left. I’d rather shop elsewhere where I can be treated with respect and where they practice proper customer service.
Really great customer service, very accommodating both sales reps considering COVID and the restrictions involved. Walked away with a beautiful straw trilby. Thank you!
Coolest hats ever Super friendly staff
Great stuff all around. Staff is very nice and welcoming.
Very limited selection. Not very unique. Prices didnt seem to match quality.
Great place with such a beautiful girl helping customers out. Great hats but small inventory in store so might want to order from their website. This shop is now the closest one to the Valley because Sherman Oaks closed.
Found the right hats
Great selection and nice customer service.
Very friendly customer service from the young employee. Super nice. Thought quality and designs were beautiful, although was dissappointed that very few of the hats that I adored came in my size. I did eventually buy two gorgeous hats that I absolutely love. I will absolutely go back. The store was meticulously presented. Kept very clean and adorned impeccably with hats galore. Looking forward to checking out the 2019 summer selection. Keep up the amazing job guys. Did I mention the employee, July 4th in the evening, was very friendly and extremely helpful.
Ive been a fan of Goorin Bros. hats for many years now. Currently, I own about 12+ hats and beanies.Besides their quality products, designs and amazing customer service, the shop takes care of your purchases (and current ones even if they arent their brand) well beyond the purchasing transaction period.Should your hat need some steam cleaning, they have the machine going and will gladly help you out. Is your hat a big tight? Theyll be happy to stretch it out for you! Or if its too big, theyll try some hat foam inside to tighten the fit a bit for you. Need any opinion? Theyll be happy to help you find your fit and style!I especially love their customer loyalty card. For every hat that you buy, you get one stamp. If you fill up the 10 spaces, your 11th is complimentary for up to $100. Ive accomplished this feat and used it for an awesome hat!
Chris Mahoney has to be one of the most professional and personable staff members in any retail setting. Five stars.
A little disappointing for a hat shop. nothing in my size?????
Would appreciate a larger selection and staff thats more eager to help.
Great place!! Nice and friendly staff that always wants the best kind of hat for you. Their hats are well crafted look good. They also have chocolate!!
Always a good experience. The entire crew there is friendly and knowledgeable. They care about the craftsmanship and quality.
Great customer service and large selection
My favorite hat shop. The staff is super friendly and always ready to give solid advice. Decent range of prices, but these are all quality hats.
Soooooooo excited theres a shop close to me. I was just about to order another hat online and saw the map of shops on their site!!! Their product is the best by far. Im on my way. :)
Goorin Bros., has the best hats a person can buy. I have about 20 to 25 hats. The service is the best... I go to the store locates on Melrose blvd. Or in largemount every two months. ...
I bought a Panama Hat here. I love it and wear it all summer. Staff is friendly and helps to pick a hat to tailor your needs.
Go here. Its an event. Its like hat Disneyland. But not with hats FROM Disneyland, just good, honest, well crafted hats. And the staff was fun and helpful.
Nice collection of all kind of headwhear (hats, caps, beanies...). Friendly and helpful crew.
Huge amount of hats and the shop assistant was really really helpful and polite. Unfortunately I’m not living there to buy a hat every month.
I bought my grandma a hat here for her birthday and she loved it. Which is greatttt because I completely forgot and had to buy gift the same day as her birthday. Felt a little shi**y for that.Im an ebay/amazon/online shopper and I probably could have gotten it a little cheaper.... but it was a good quality hat, the store is very professional and classy looking, and it comes in a really pretty hot box and they tied up for you so it looks a lot fancier than what you would get from Amazon or something cheaper online.I paid 70, probably could have gotten it online for 40 but buying the hat box and putting the bows around; it I think it was worth it. Definitely was worth not hearing my grandma screech that I forgot her birthday...
Ive been to 4 locations; nyc, Charleston, miami and now LA. 3 of them were really good experiences and ive bought hats for my wife and i at 3 we went into the LA one ready for a new straw hat. Very disappointed. No service at all. 2 employees talking about a Prayers concert they attended. I was wearing a dean the butcher and was on the fence about buying a straw. We were in there for 20 min trying various hats on and no one helped. Ive had amazing service at all the other locations. We walked out without a new hat and i was bummed out. Needless to say my next hat wont be a goorin one.
Had a blast with the artist-serviceman. Dude got skills!
Super helpful staff who took time to help me try a bunch of different hats. Their merchandise is not cheap, but it looks and feels like the quality is great.
Love this place. They even have the rooster logo for this year!
They generally have a good selection.
