A little piece of heaven on earth. I go to the Golden Folk to see Andrea the acupuncturist whom I can say (after 7 months) is some kind of magician healer. I have always been skeptical to everything, because there’s just too much out there and a lot of it, is just expensive and doesn’t work, unless you convince yourself it does. However, acupuncture with Andrea at the Golden Folk, has changed my perspective about it, because one thing is if you go to get some mental relief, but when you go, trying to find some ease to physical chronic pain and you come out of it feeling at a 90%, then you start believing in it. My condition hasn’t changed, because it requires a lot more, but acupuncture has helped me and improved my every day life, I can go by 3-4 days of the week feeling a bit normal, walking without excruciating pain and that’s a lot.I’m grateful for this place, for Sonia, for Andrea. Thank you for nurturing a space that holds you as a whole and listens to you, especially when you come completely disappointed in Western medicine. They listen and they genuinely do their best to make you feel better.A 1000% recommended

My experience here at golden folk wellness was the best!I came in for a mystery rash that my regular physician couldnt careless about or figure out. A month of suffering with an extremely itchy rash that was putting a damper in my life to say the least I sought the help of Sonya at golden folk wellness. Immediately I felt nurtured and cared for Sonya was extremely compassionate about my skin issues. I have been coming to GFW for about a month my rash is completely gone and with no harsh chemicals or toxic creams like I was prescribed by my MD.Im extremely grateful to Sonya for such a nurturing experience.

Absolutely great location, right off the beaten path in Silverlake with a really different vibe. Its so quiet and peaceful, I think because its in a house thats been redesigned to host a business, which gives it a really homelike and trustworthy feeling. Sonya is of course a great owner with everything very down to earth and on the table. Pretty much everything is great here, they even have their own herbalism going on, along with a vast amount of services available due to different practioners on board. You can get acupuncture, hot cup, or just basic massages here its awesome. Also it really dodges the overtly new age stuff that usually has me avoiding these places, just really natural and into those things without being over the top and corny. Totally loved it, Ill for sure be back.
