Soft serve and water ice is really good. Parking is bad go more early. Overall would recommend to someone who likes soft serve, they will fall in love

I mentioned it was our first time and the employees sang a song welcoming us. A delicious frozen treat with the option to mix up to three (3) flavors and I recommend adding the soft-serve ice cream on top! I ordered the time machine and it did not disappoint me.

Just now I was trying to go into happy ice on Melrose Blvd but owner said no mask no service so I showed him my vaccination card and he still refuse to give me my cherry bomb shaved ice ......good shaved cheery bomb but bad service..only because Im Hispanic BUT I ENDED UP GETTING MY CHERRY BOMB!

Delicious!The people there need a raise because they have great customer service and are genuinely nice upon entry and exit. Theres a variety of flavors. Presentation is key not limited to just the product and they nailed it. Id definitely recommend and will absolutely be returning.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Line was about 5 people deep, which was about a 5 minute wait. At this time only one party is allowed per transaction. The cashiers were nice and explained the concept of the establishment. I ordered a medium mango, watermelon and pineapple combo. Only took a few minutes to get my order. Very refreshing, tropical and hit the spot on a warm day. Very colorful interior. Overall I highly recommend coming here.

Its really good. I dont enjoy sweet treats but this was just perfect for me. I tried the all star and it was delicious. I wish it was closer to me. But would drive for it.

The best water ice I had. Growing up in Philly you eat a lot of really good water ice....This dude out did all those joints. Forget Ritas, forget Johns S.Philly, and even old school Espositos water ice in the N.E....man this blows them all away. If you are not familiar with Italian ice let this man show you the path to happiness.

It was my first time visiting Happy Ice LA on Melrose. Its like $6 for a large, a little pricy, but its totally worth it! The spoons change color when cold and the cups are biodegradable. I loved the rad monopoly money! Collect 7 happy ice bills and you get a complementary icey. I ordered the 🌈🚀 which has all the flavors & was absolutely delicious and refreshing!

Happy Ice is amazing even on a cold day in LA. I love that they are dairy free so you can indulge as you wish and be worry-free of an impending belly ache. It’s the bomb and you have to go and try it for yourself. Each scoop is a work of art in itself and the crew are always smiling and you can tell they like what they do, so good vibes always can expected here. I have wanted to try Happy Ice since before the brick and mortar opened but hadnt had a chance until recently. I went on a very hot day and they did not dissapoint. The shave ice was a great texture and had an overall tart flavor which paired with the vegan soft serve was a really great way to blend flavors. Melrose Ave is a fun place to hang out and couldnt ask for a better sweet treat on a very hot day.

Saw this on Insider on youtube and had to try it out! There was a bit of a line but those folks moved FAST. They were so kind and so lovely. The flavors were amazing me and all 5 of my kids got amazing flavors and the soft serve is about 2 dollars more but worth it! Will be returning again.Also good luck with parking its almost impossible lol!

Its good, but the heavier black girl was kind of rude. She also did not sing the song like my friend told me they did for her. But my friend did go there with a friend of the happy ice place. It should be the same across the board for new people.

Overrated. Interior is fun but that’s it. Ice cream is bad. A lot of chemicals and artificial colors. Definitely won’t come back.

They have a bunch of great flavor options. Happy Ice is like a gourmet shave ice/slurpee. Flavors include mango, cherry, watermelon, blueberry lemon/strawberry and Rainbow Rocket . Makes you feel Happy for only 5 bucks! You can select up to 3 flavors. Sometimes there is a long long line but it is worth the wait.

Not sure about all the hype. High on sugar maybe a better description.

Solid ice cream, definitely has the edge against places like Saffron and Rose in terms of quality of ice cream. I tried their rose water cream and their lavender flavors - both which were excellent. Overall, its more on the creamy side and less on the sweet side which I like. Minus one star because of how expensive it is. Seven dollars for a double scoop? I could get a meal for that money.

Moving to California you can’t find food like East Coast food. No one in the LA area knows what water ice is! and no one certainly knows how to make it right. Rita’s Italian ice isn’t even good on the west coast. So when I tried this it took me back to being on the boardwalk in Wildwood NJ eating Polish water ice. It’s so smooth and delicious

The ice honestly tastes so good and I dont know what alien technology they use but the ice doesnt melt fast. U get the same consistency until the last bite. There is a line and you have to wait around 15 min for service but is worth it.

Not really following any Covid guidelines. Waited outside in the heat after cramming us into the store just small enough so no one had 6 ft. Servers, they cant be bothered to answer your questions. I asked how much, she showed me 3 little cups. She showed me & said 4oz., 6oz., 8oz. I said., again, how much. She told me the same thing. I said how much do they cost? She said $4,$5,$6.. I said thank you & walked out.How to lose a customer in one visit. Too bad. It really looked inviting.

Fantastic ! Heard about this place on a local news station And it was worth it! It was super hot today so an Italian ice sounded perfect . The parking in the area is a bit tricky but not impossible. The line at 4pm was a good 45 mins and wrapped around to behind the barbershop . So just plan accordingly and bring a hat and water since you are in direct sun in the line . The product is great and the staff is very friendly and are moving quickly for a small place ! I loved the rocket swirl which has every flavor and the pineapple was my fav ! Worth a try !! Costs 6 bux for a large
