They put pieces of chicken, pickles, and a drizzle of ranch onto a small personal pizza. The pizza size was good (4 mini slices). It seemed like there was only half a tender used for the entire dish, and it was all placed around the middle of the dish, so after your first bite of the slice, the rest was just a ranch and pickle pizza. It still tasted great. It came very fast!

If you love good fresh ingredients for your at home meals you must go to Eataly and check it out. In addition to great and fresh ingredients they have a few really good in market restaurants as well as a roman pizza place. The charcuterie counter is one of the best around. I have yet to find a more versatile selection of cheese and meats. The butcher counter is ridiculous with their own dry aging cooler for dry aged steaks of course, as well as a crazy selection of Snake River Farms Wagu cuts. I was recently pointed in the direction of a Zabuton SRF Wagu cut which is basically a Japanese version of a Denver cut and I think I have a new favorite. Its a little expensive at $40 per lb but for what you get its worth it. This steak in a restaurant would probably be north of $150 for a 16 ounce cut. Give it a try if your in the area.

Wonderful upscale Italian restaurant/market/bar inside the Westfield mall in Century City. They have 3 floors including a large LavAzza on the bottom floor and a huge market on the mid level. They have amazing pizza there. Its very expensive, but its also the best. The market is divided into several sections like pasta, seafood, bread, etc. This place has a lot of charm to it. The grocery has a lot of imported products from Italy which are not available In regular local stores and that is good specially if you want to cook something close to authentic Italian. They have wines, cheeses, cookies, chips, breadsticks etc. Couple of things I didnt find are the bottled squid/cuttlefish ink sauce (there is a squid ink pasta but not the sauce) and anchovies in salt. Grocery items are a bit pricy but understandable. The Gelato place downstairs is way below par from maybe the worst Gelato you can buy in Italy which made their Affogato mediocre. The 3 star review is exactly for the grocery/market place of Eataly Los Angeles. Now for one of the restaurant inside of Eataly that we tried...not good at all. It is LA PIZZA & LA PASTA. Uses fresh pasta but the pasta was too al dente to the point of it being too chewy. You will be focusing on the taste of the pasta which is overpowered by the flour used than the sauce. But the sauces are not tasty as well, so I guess no harm done there.. We had ordered the pesto and also the pasta alle vongole. Both were lacking flavour and everything. I didnt even see a minute piece of garlic in the vongole pasta (the prepared sauces from little authentic Italian grocery stores are way better). Their pasta dishes will make you full really quick, that I give to them. No need to finish everything, which is a blessing. This might be because the fresh pasta is so heavy (even to chew) that it goes down and settles down heavy too. Their fried seafood plate called GRANDI PLATTI - Gran Fritto de Mare is a disappointment. One of their staffs said it is for sharing (good for 3). It just had a few pieces of cut up squid (1squid), 3 breaded cubed fish and a couple of shrimps and then topped or should I say buried in tons of shredded and breaded deep fried vegetable strings like carrots and I dont know what the other strings are (pictures attached).. at first we didnt notice how much crispy strings are there, but as we dug in we couldnt find any seafood, all we were getting are those crispy strings. Then we decided to remove all the crispy strings and after 2 plates of that... voila! we saw the pieces of fried seafood below. So tricky but not smart, they could have placed the seafood on top to make it look that theres a lot. Maybe we would not have noticed if we already got full and didnt mind if the bottom is full of... yes, crispy strings. We called the manager about it and he said he could just give us two orders of calamari instead but we declined they just removed it from the bill and then took the dish away. Not sure if their other dishes are good as we didnt try anything else anymore. It could have been better if we just ordered from one of the counters in the marketplace that offered meals like burrata bruschetta, pizza, etc. So the 3 star is really for Eatalys grocery store/marketplace as there is no available site for La pizza & La pasta Los Angeles in google maps yet to give a review. I would give them 1 star because our main server is really nice.

This was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. We didn’t receive an entire appetizer that we clearly ordered. The Carbonara pasta was so salty that it was inedible - we actually felt ill after trying to co some some of it. The Lasagna was incredibly mediocre, despite their claims that it was freshly made pasta, it tasted like a frozen microwave dinner. Finally our waitress disappeared without a trace halfway through the meal, and another (confused) waiter took over the table. Worst waste of $70 I’ve ever spent, y’all need to do better.

Not the best experience or margherita pizza I’ve seen. And honestly, when the pizza arrived my first question was, “where’s the basil?” The server, Isak, said, “we only put a tiny garnish of basil at the center.” As you can see, the garnish is basically a pinch, but don’t worry they certainly take pizzas very seriously (NOT). Moreover, I’m giving the experience 1/5 since Isak wasn’t too attentive to our needs, such as getting us another bottle of water after having asked for another since we ran out. The only redeeming quality was the taste, but unfortunately it was all a let down in the end. The Eataly in NYC is better in terms of service. Food is about the same there too.

Without a doubt one of my favorite spots in LA. Going to Eataly is as much about the more-often-than-not unimpeachable food as it is about the shopping experience. The sticker shock can be a bit much, but the trick is to shop smart. There are some things that you can get cheaper elsewhere, (such as certain brands of imported canned tomatoes or olive oils), but there are certain things (the in-house patisserie creations, prosciutto selection, handmade infused pastas, mozzerellas, and breads, not to mention the sheer variety of wines) that make a trip to Eataly a worthwhile endeavor for every chef and/or foodie alike. If nothing else, get the calamari. It will ruin every other calamari experience for you, but you still wont be sorry.

My wife and I heard so much about this place before actually visiting. And we are happy to say that it lived up to the hype. Everything in this place reminded us of our visit to Rome. From the pizza ovens to the meats hanging to the gelato, took us back to Italy for a few hours. The retail is clean and organized and pretty easy to navigate. The restaurant is fantastic with a simple menu that should appeal to all.We started with their fresh, made in house, mozzarella cheese platter with olives and pesto. We then moved on to their Pizza that was the perfect consistency and just the right amount of toppings. We opted for the prosciutto artichoke and olives for our toppings. And we finished our meal with an Italian classic, Cacio e Pepe!My only criticism of this place is something they cant really control... Just how crowded it is. You cant help but wander the aisles bumping into people and rubbing shoulders with others. Such a minor complaint for an otherwise spectacular place. I highly recommend it!

As someone who has travelled extensively across Italy n eaten Italian food around the world and for whom Italian food is one of the fav cuisines - am super disappointed with my experience at Eataly!Food: 3/5We tried 3 pizzas (Margherita, Norcina, Calzone Tartufo) they were nice in general but a bit thick compared to the real neopolitan pizzas.Pasta was horrible - chewy, salty & didnt feel fresh. Portions were on the smaller side.Dessert - gelato was very nice (best thing on the menu I would say), tiramisu was also good. Limoncello bites were unique - but very light on the actual limoncello flavor.Wine: 1/5The cab was your average Italian cab (Tuscany red). What was ridiculous that they were charging $68 + tax + tip for the bottle which you can find in stores for $20. Thats shameful.Service: 2/5I hope the gratuity is split among all kitchen staff. Our waitress barely took our order & gave us the check. No checking in or anything. As soon as you know with 6+ ppl a 18% gratuity is added - am sure she decide she doesnt need to put in any effort. Food was delivered by kitchen staff - we even had to ask a kitchen staff to get us chilli flakes as the waitress was never around. If you really want to provide an Italian experience - you should know that gratuity is not common in Italy - they charge whats called coperto n in exchange they provide bread n olive oil for the table. Even the smallest of Italian restaurants around LA provide this but not Eataly. If we had a choice we would probably leave less than 18% gratuity due to poor service. To the proprietor of this establishment:1. Please make your wait staff understand - a guaranteed 18% tip for 6+ ppl doesnt mean you stop providing service2. Ridiculous markup on wine - you might have taken our money but also ensured we never visit again n recommend our friends to stay away from here as well. I hope that extra few dollars was worth it.3. Get your pasta fixed - its a sham in name of Italian food! For readers of this review:If you want original Italian quality neopolitan pizza & pasta - try LAntica Pizzeria in Hollywood you would thank me. (I dont get anything out of this except helping out my fellow LA foodies)

Love it! Visit los angeles and it is a must go! Amazing authentic products a bit pricey but some things are worth it.

I was born and raised in Italy, and I am sorry to say this is the worst Eataly I have ever been to. They have sold me sausage at the meat counter that was rotten (smelled awful when I opened it, so the guy packing it should have realized when he picked it up). They have sold me Chantilly pastìccini (the ones with whipped cream) that were days old: the whipped cream tasted like cheese. When I told the person at the counter that she should toss the entire tray because they’d gone bad, she didn’t. They simply continued to sell them to unsuspecting customers (who may not even know what they are supposed to taste like in the first place, but I guarantee you it’s not cheese). This location also doesn’t sell some basic products that you would find in any Italian kitchen and that are sold in other Eataly locations like NYC and Chicago (for example, anchovies packed in salt are essential to Italian cuisine, but the employees at the LA store don’t even know that anchovies packed in salt exist! I have asked 3-4 times). Very sorry to say, but this Eataly is disappointing. The only things I recommend purchasing are imported packaged goods like pasta or cookies, wine, and cold cuts (salumi/formaggi). For the rest, you can go to Bristol Farms and others, where things like meat, and fish are much more fresh.

Food was ok, however, utensils and cloth napkins wasnt clean. Also, waiters are nice but they are not alert. They forget to bring what we requested soon as left from our table.

It is unfortunate to have visited this time during the pandemic, however, this establishment handles it quite thoughtfully. You must wear a mask, and they provide gloves. Past that, they have an enormous selection of high quality food products of many varieties that are not accumulated so well anywhere else. Truly somewhere you could get lost in for a long time. Just try to not get carried away.

We had a total of seven people who ordered food family style, so we sampled all that was delicious. The lamb was well cooked. The food and service were both excellent.
