Im going to start off by saying the store itself is great. There is so much to choose from, you might be able to get better deals online for random things if you look hard enough, but they really do have everything when it comes to golf.That said, it is poorly run and the people working here Im sorry to say are incompetent.My cousin and siblings all generously got me a new driver as a group birthday gift.We came here 2 weeks ago to test out the different drivers. The machine they have to allow you to test the clubs is awesome, but the staff didnt actually help me choose the club. My brother and cousin did all the work, lining up clubs to test and we eventually picked one that felt right. Not that it should make much of a difference, but keep in mind the club they got me certainly was not cheap so youd expect to be taken care of properly.We checked out, and I thought that was that. A few days later on a trip where we went golfing, I took out the club and realized they actually gave me the wrong loft for the club. We specifically requested/tested a 10.5, they gave me a 9.Im newer to the sport and still learning, so a 9 for me is way out of my league and just completely wrong.Thankfully Roger Dunn has an excellent return policy so we did know that it wouldnt be a hassle to get them to make it right in the end.My cousin returned the 9 Driver, they didnt have the 10.5 in yet so we had to wait a few days for them to get it in.I went to go pick it up, wasted 25 minutes having to explain the situation because their system apparently showed it wasnt paid for yet which was of course incorrect. They finally handed me the club after a big hassle.As I was leaving I think to myself I should look at this club again to be sure, and while it was a 10.5, there was a chip on the driver and it clearly had been used multiple times.I go back in and explain I think they just gave me a used club. The guy working there confirmed they had accidentally ordered me a Demo club which I believe was $200 less. So had I not noticed, they were going to let me walk out with a cheaper used club when we had paid for a new one. Its not that Im above a used club, its just this was a gift and they paid for a brand new club.They let me keep the demo unit in the mean time until the new one arrived which was nice, but its not like I live next door to this store.Finally I just got the correct one today in nearly 3 weeks after getting the wrong one from day 1, but the point to this story is this place itself is great but the people running it really are clumsy and just dont pay attention to detail. They wasted a lot of our time unnecessarily.

Funny enough it was my first time going to Roger Dunn. I started golfing over the pandemic and bought my first set on craigslist. But, never again after visiting the store. Its like toys r us for Golfers. They have hitting stalls that you try clubs before you buy them. They have literally everything golf related except for one thing. I was unable to find a driver I could hit straight. Lol. They have used clubs as well. Not just a few but hundreds of top of the line clubs just a few years old for a very reasonable price. I picked up a new driver for under $100 bucks after testing out 5 of them. I really cant wait to go back and pick up a hybrid. The staff is super knowledgeable and very friendly. The dude that helped me watched me in the stall and said hold on Ill be right back. Handed me a club to try and I crushed it. He was just as happy as I was. They really want to help not just sell you stuff. Such a pleasure.

My father and I were trying to get some new clubs. Some staffs were really nice and attentive (Darren and people at the front) while some were just chilling with practicing their shots. My dad who is not the most fluent in English asked for help when Darren was handling other customers and some fitting crew just said ok and ignored our request. It also bothered me how we were waiting in line to try some of the clubs while workers were practicing their own golf shots. The fitting crew looked like they had a lot of time to play around. I guess maybe because it was Friday afternoon.

Great experience. Gentleman at the store set me up with my first set of used clubs on the simulator, gave me great pointers and suggestions that improved my game. Will go back!

Staff here that helped me were great. Didn’t push me to get something I didn’t need which I appreciated. Great place to try some clubs before you buy to make sure they’re right.

Amazing however I ran into only one problem. I accidentally dropped a yellow golf ball down one of the employees throat. I then put him down on the ground and performed CPR. However he then chocked on the golf ball as I was mouth to him he spat the golf ball down my throat and I started chocking then he saved me then had a poo and ran home!

Stopped there to purchase a pair of Golf Shoes. Big store with very good collection for all ages. Helpful staff and plenty of parking spaces.

As a gift for my teenage son an older family member, who doesn’t play golf, went to Roger Dunn WLA buy a box of dozen golf balls as a gift. Was talked into buying 8 dozen golf balls! I went back to return the items with the gift receipt and they would not refund the family members credit card without the original receipt. I was also chastised that 8 dozen golf balls is a perfectly fine gift and not a bit excessive. I golf 50+ rounds a year that is complete BS! Later went back with the original receipt and was then told they need the actual credit card number which was not explained on my previous trip to the store. I have shopped at Roger Dunn WLA for over 20 years and have purchased several sets of clubs from them. I am never going back. If they need to dupe senior citizens to get a bigger sale and then are not truthful on the return process that is on them.

Vanessa, one of the managers at the West LA store provides the very best level of customer service. that Ive ever received. As a new golfer, I have much to learn as my game improves. I am blown away at the time and level of customer service that I always receive from Vanessa. She is a true customer champion and a star employee and manger. I wanted customers and the corporate management to know what a great asset Vanessa is to the organization. I feel like family, not just a customer. Vanessa, I cant thank you enough. I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.Theres no way that I could do a review without mentioning Phil, the master club fitter at this store. I have had the pleasure of having Phil work through various makes and types of golf clubs with me. He has an amazing level of knowledge, patience and kindness that you seldom see anywhere. I cant thank him enough for all of his expert guidance and time helping me sort out the best clubs for me. If you are considering a new club or an entire set of clubs, do yourself a favor and book a fitting with Phil. Hes quite literally, the best!

Super busy because of the times were in but friendly staff. Next time Im sure I will get some more 1 on 1 time to ask questions. I could tell they wanted too help. Bought a used club at a very fair price.

I have been a customer of the WLA Roger Dunn store since it opened at that location. The service is second to none. David their manager, Phil club fitting specialist and Vanessa at the front counter and John in the club dept all make for an excellent experience at their store. Can’t say enough of how great the service is there.

Useless repair experience. Said reshaft of driver would take 3 days, still waiting 6 days later. Don’t trust the timelines they give you. Poor expectation setting. Unapologetic customer service.

The staff here was excellent. I am not a review writer guy but i had to thank Phil especially. We came from Turkiye last summer and luckily found this store in LA. Phil was in great help and he helped us and chose clubs for an entire set for 1,5 hours with patience. The store was great! They have everything and especially lots of second hand clubs which were in very good condition. Thanks again and again!!

Thankful for this location. Only golf store I know of on the westside. They have an extensive selection and fair prices. Also offered is a cash back rewards program. Really an upbeat atmosphere with knowledgeable and friendly service.

If what you need for golf isnt here, it doesnt exist. However, I wish the salesperson had offered me a backbone gizmo with my softside travel case. It would have saved me a $500 broken driver courtesy of a rough FedEx delivery. No softside case should leave without one.

I was bummed to find out that Golfsmith had closed so I set out to find a new Golf shop. Roger Dunn you are definitely my go to store now. Just enough attention to not feel ignored but not too much where they make you feel comfortable to see and try equipment at your own pace.

Looks like its a big store with lots of inventory. The truth is the service is terrible. Went to shoe dept. The salesman was always disappearing. No real knowledge of the shoes. No follow up. Clueless.You just have to figure it out on ones own time.

Great selection of merchandise. However, not being greeted and not acknowledging those who are waiting is not really acceptable at brick and mortar places these days especially when its been about 10min. of waiting in line. Nice to see cashiers were very engaged with their customer at the counter but a simple break away from conversation to acknowledge a waiting customer is important especially when other employees including a(the) Manager were in proximity.

Great experience outfitting my youngest son with his first set of new clubs. Alex was fantastic in working with him to check his swing type, speed and skill level and then making recommendations. He then had him try out an example from each recommendation.

Went in for an iron fitting. Said I was interested in trying a few different brands to see which one I liked best. Got about 6 or 7 shots with the first club before they took it away from me to move on to the next one. Obvious they were trying to speed the process along and get me in and out as soon as possible. Every request to swap to a different club felt like I was asking them to waste their time, and there was nobody else waiting. I didnt have my greatest ball striking day in the hitting bay, but the service was bare minimum, at most. Got no input on shaft type or stiffness. Never got a chance to see and compare numbers for more than just a few seconds.Super disappointed. Wont be returning.

After calling 1-day earlier, then driving 7.5 miles one way after being assured they had an item, I drove there to find they didnt have the item. The sales person was very nice and apologized but didnt do me any good.

As a long shot to regrip an over 40year old steel shafted, drop forged hatchet which the manufacturer does not make replacement parts for a caddy friend suggest I stop here. Despite the hatchet shaft being too large for stock grips, David went to the back and found a few items to show me the internal dimensions to see if we could feasibly force one over. My lucky day he found a grip that was no longer stocked by the store and he went to the back for several minutes. He came back with a grip attached to the hatchet that almost looked like it was designed for it!! I am not a golfer, but if I were this would definitely keep me coming back for service here. To take the time to work out a solution for a non industry related problem was above and beyond customer service. Thank you David!!

I was completely amazed at the selection not only the staff was extremely friendly gentleman help me pick out a driver that suited best for me and he spent about 20 minutes deciding what did I need to improve my swing extremely happy with my purchase definitely coming back

I went in for a simple re-grip and the club repair gentleman must have been having a bad day. He quoted me an unreasonable time for a simple repair and was upset with me for bothering him. I asked another employee if they could help real quick but they said only one person should do the re-grip and hes busy. They did not seem to care about providing me with service. I asked for another shop near by and they said to just hit balls for 45 minutes while they get to my grip. I will not go back.

I absolutely hate this place. I could be going in for a glove or a grip for my putter. And 4 hours later Ive got a new wardrobe a set of clubs that fit my game better, a driver I get 12 extra accurate yardage, new wedges and putter. A 3 wood I can get off the ground... and the best part is I have 90 days to try the clubs in real time. And if I need a tweak here or there, their exchange policy is second to none unless you play a major professional tour. I believe if you dont by your equipment from a RD, there must be some kind of alteial motive, like your brother -in- law owns a golf shop or something the like. Rodger Dunn has set the bar higher than most other golf shops cant see therefore dont believe exist... long story shot? Do yourelf a favor and buy yout clubs at a Rodger Dunn Superstore golf shop.
