4 days late. Over sprayed a simple flat white on a Audi bumper. Installed a new taillight that was cracked/chipped. Poor workmanship and poor quality control. How did they possibly think this was acceptable? I strongly suggest to never use CarStar in Lowell.

I am having a terrible experience with this CARSTAR and I will never ever use them in future.1) They took several days to assess collision damage after the car was towed. During that time car was just sitting in their lot2) Very poor communication between my insurance carrier and them. Even when assessment was approved by insurance they told me they hadnt received it. I had to constantly be middle-person to coordinate. During that time car was still sitting in their lot. Didnt start on earlier approved damage.3) They told me 3 weeks for repairs. Almost at the end they told few more and few more and few more days. 10+ days and car was still not ready. Kept giving some reason or other.I returned my rental car because of their assurance when car will be ready and had to be w/o car for several days.They just dont care about the customer. If I could, I would give zero stars for their overall service.

Carstar was great to work with. They were quick with the estimate, have me an incredibly detailed quote, and worked through the details with the insurance company. I was recently rear ended and needed work done to the back of my vehicle. I dropped my vehicle off and already had rental car ready and waiting was in and out fast and easy! Picked my car up [2014 rav 4] (it took about 5 days to complete the repair) and it looks amazing! You definitely wouldnt know how bad it looked just a week ago. Totaled my car and this is where it ended up. Never got to use this body shop but when I went to get my plates and empty out my car every one was super nice to deal with.

CARSTAR went above and beyond to deliver quality work in repairing my entire passenger side. This including a panel that they did not have to replace, but still managed to make it look brand new just like the doors they had replaced! Will gladly go to CARSTAR again for any body work I may need!

Good. Not great. Had to go back twice to have a few things fixed after I initially picked the car up. If you’re looking for attention to detail I’d look elsewhere. But the repair work overall was solid once it was finally completed.

They really helped me understand the process step by step. They also kept me up to date on the repairs and gave me a fairly accurate date as to when it would be ready. They even finished the car three days before the date they predicted it would done. The office staff greeted me with a smile, they were friendly and professional. The car looks and runs great! Customer service was great. I wasnt happy with the results of my car. My front bumper was a different white pearl. Their was also things they couldnt fix on my front bumper like having the sides flush with the fenders. I didnt want to take it like that but. I guess that was all they can do for me. 🤷‍♂️

We recently had our car serviced at Car Star in Lowell. We had a car fire which was caused from a faulty radiator fan motor. Fortunately, we had a fire extinguisher handy but it still caused considerable damage. Car Star fixed all the problems and replaced parts that melted as well as installed new brake lines. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient and took care of all the problems in a timely manner. When I went to pick up my car after the work was supposed to be done I immediately found a blemish on the body work. To correct this, I had to leave the car there again for 3 more work days for them to redo an area of painting. When I returned I found 4 more issues that I had to bring up to them that needed to be redone. I was disappointed that my car did not receive a better inspection before trying to deliver it back to me.

Delivered a week ahead of schedule. Professional, great communication.

Quality work and very quick service.

The front desk staff were fine and professional. I got paint work done on my vehicle and the paint was maybe an 80% match with the rest of my vehicle which was a little upsetting being I have a brand new car so the paint should match almost perfectly. Aside from that, Carstar thought they were doing me a favor by leaving leftover paint in a jar inside my vehicle on my steering wheel. However, by them doing this left a very strong paint / chemical scent in my car which after two days, doesn’t seem to be going away even after a full detail of the interior of my vehicle. I have been feeling a mild headache since. You would think it would be common sense not to put fresh paint in a confined space and now I’m stuck looking for ways to remove this chemical scent all inside my vehicle.

Used business for insurance collision repair. Great work and finished work before estimated completion time....(although, their estimated completion time was 3 weeks from drop-off!) It would be good idea to get their estimated completion time before deciding if you need a rental car.

I got in an accident and decided to bring it to CarStar. The desk/office staff is Incredibly personable and helpful, consistent, and timely with their communication. The garage crew did an excellent job and my looks good as new. The made a stressful situation much easier.

Ive gone to CARSTAR multiple times and Ive never had any issues. They did everything that was needed and more ! A great place to bring your vehicle to be fixed and be confident driving away !

I am the comeback Customer for them. They did an OK job on the first time and this time I brought them another customer with is my Mom and the experience of this time went terribly wrong. DISHONOR shop is what I would say. My mom drove a 2016 Black Infinity with 60k miles on it. The tent fail on it and it had cosmetic damages. Insurance company made their final decision to total the vehicle. We decide to keep the car since it was still looking good and drivable. Mostly Cosmetic scratches and need touch up was told by Carstar). We ask for the quote and see how much money it cost to put it back together the way it came( WITHOUT FIXING ANYTHING) since it was disassembly and sit in the rain and snow for weeks( love the way they care for our vehicle). First, I call and they said give them 24 hours to quote. 24 hours later I called back and they give me the price is 380.48 cent. Then an hour later they said BTW, the quote is not final give us another 24 hours. 48 hours later they called me and triple the first quote (1200$) and still say it is not final. Their excuse was they are still in the dark and really dont know how much it really cost after triple me the price. Please note the car is already dis-assembly and inspected by them for 2 weeks but they are still in the dark tho !!!!!???? So 1200$ is still not enough now gonna go up. Triple again I guess? No thank you, I wont pay 1200 dollars( probably triple again) for a savage car(cost 4000$) just to put it back together without fixing a single thing. They will for sure lost me and my family and friends as their customer and good luck for guys wanna use this DISHONOR shop. Never Again Carstar in Lowell. Bye bye. Nick Truong.

They did a terrible job on paint and installing moldings. The inside door weather strip was not installed properly, the window molding on the rear door was not installed properly letting the water run off the window into the door. I went back 3 times to pick up the car. 1st time it was dull with orange peel and runs and primer showing on edge of door. They told me they inspected the car and it was ready for pick up. This is what they think is a good job? Stay away very far away. I took the car and will have it repaired somewhere else when I have the money

My experience was very satisfactory it involved bodywork on my 2017 Highlander platinum which now looks like it just came out of the showroom. Who could ask for more than that?

Let me just start this off by saying Lindsay the women handling my paper/ receptionist was beyond rude. Her condescending tone and manner really isn’t suited for this kind of work. The woman treated me with very little respect and was unprofessional to say the least. Now for the work on the car we’ll see how it comes out I hope the mechanics are better at their job than Lindsay. But that shouldn’t be hard. They gentleman I spoke with yesterday was much kinder and thoughtful which is what I expect. I worked with Rich for the inspection he was great. Helpful, informative and respectful. That’s how businesses is done.

I had a car that was keyed by a pedestrian. Took it to carstar per recommendation by Geico. The staff were professional when they gain your business, but when they finish the botched job, they make you seem insane. Here is a photo of their work. Notice how the paint surface of my hood was not even. You can see where the hood was keyed. Mind you, i refused to pick my car up twice and carstar agreed to polish off the lint and runoff paint on my car. But after too many days without a ride (my rental car coverage ended) I needed my car and lived with a botched paint job.I also had Carstar fix a dent on my rear passenger door. They did an amazing job of smoothing out the dent. However, the technician did not put my door back together properly. He neglected to press the vapor barrier in all the way, and the winter after the repair, my car’s footwell got flooded every time it rained. During the winter snow, my car would also flood. I had to remove my entire carpet and dry it. It was not till the next summer when i had another chance to take off my carpet that I discovered the water was entering from the weather barrier. I have since put the vapor barrier back and my car no longer gets flooded.

I had a good experience and my car looks great! The employees would call me every few days to tell me that my car would be ready by a certain date (2 weeks after I dropped it off). The only negative thing I can say is that a week before the scheduled pick up date they called to tell me that my car is ready and expected me to pick it up that day on such short notice.

I always loved their service. Very convenient. Easy. And the people are very, very nice. Second time I had their service. And both time I Loved it!!

Everything down to the amount of time it took to get things done on my car, the friendliness of the staff, the constant updates where you are never left wondering what is going on, and the ease of use with renting a car through them and their partnership with Enterprise. And last but not least, the quality of the work. All of this, bar none, best service I have ever had when it comes to car fixes that I have had in my life. Cant recommend them enough.
