This store always provides a great shopping experience. Everyone is very helpful, especially Mary, who extended the protection plans and credit card offers to me. I was unaware Northern Tool offered cash back or rewards until she explained the details. This store will always have my business. Thank you all and great job!

Overall experience was positive. Web site could use a little work from a user experience perspective. Not everything is as intuitive as it could be. But I was able to order and pay for my product, so everything came out fine in the end.

I guess it can be said about most businesses that the people make the business. I went in looking for a large solid brass punch to help install some planter bearings and one of the store employees who was stocking stopped and asked if I needed help finding anything. Instead of wondering around lost I decided to ask, she asked several questions about the job I was working on and the style of punch I was looking for. She took the time to explain the pros and cons of the types they had in stock.

They had exactly what I was looking for. (TARP) Friendly and courteous.

Came to store to get a star bit for my taillight I was greater and quickly helped to find my bit. I got what I wanted and will go back to this store again when I have more time to just wander around tons of tools to see.

Was at the Lubbock location back in January. Sales associates were very friendly and helpful. Im not from Lubbock and one of the associates told me that a closer location to me was being built. Would still visit this location if ever in the area. Looking forward to the Amarillo location being open as it is way closer to me.

I purchased the Milwaukee M12 Cordless 3/8 ratchet kit for my husband. We took it back to the Abilene Texas Northern Tool because my husband wanted the Milwaukee extended 3/8 Ratchet. When we tried to exchange the item the customer services lady said that they do not care those. I said can you order them off of the web site and she said no. (She was rude to me ). I came home and just ordered the extended ratchet on line from northern tools.

The service departments customer service and communication is terrible. I put down a diagnostic fee of $35 which I understood would come off the total if they ended up repairing it. He called with the price and I approved. However when I picked it up, the total was $75 more than he told me, plus I did not get the $35 credit. He also charged a $5/day fee for storing it until I could pick it up. Another fee not disclosed before it was charged. It ended up costing more than buying a new one would, and I certainly would not have gotten it fixed if I had known that. When I asked him about the storage fee, he actually looked me in the eye and would not reply. Then walked off. I spoke to a manager about it, and he referred me back to the service guy. Terrible, terrible service and overpriced.

I really do like this store. I was told by one of the managers that they take the best parts of other brands and combine them to make their own Northstar Products. I dont know how true this is but the things I have bought from them have been very good. I always look forward to my next visit.

Service Department Overpriced- do not take your equipment to be repaired at Northern Tools. It is preferable to buy new for the price you will pay for repair. They charge a diagnostic fee ($35 per item) which is not applied to the repair cost. Technicians diagnosis was that a pressure washer could be repaired but in the end it wasnt.I called their corporate office to put in a customer complaint, was referred to a Regional Manager, we spoke and she promised to get back to me. Havent heard back. Not the best customer experience.

Three weeks for an internet order to be fulfilled???only to find that out after the deliver date!!And they even have the product on the shelf but you can’t have that one....This place is a joke! Shop else where this store won’t be around for long!!

Dont buy here if you are looking for good quality or good service when you do have a defective product! I purchased an engine driven clear water pump that worked less than 2 hours before the pump came apart. I returned to the store in Lubbock to exchange it so I could continue the project that multiple people were waiting on only to find out from a very unapologetic manager, that their warranty requires they have a shop technician look at it before an exchange is merited (even if you purchase the extended warranty). I explained that we need this pump functioning now, but again an unconcerned and unapologetic manager stated that this is their company policy... period and nothing he could do about it. He then mentioned that it is Saturday and since Monday is a holiday, it will be Tuesday before anyone can look at it. My only option would be to purchase another pump if I need it now. I chose to buy another pump from a different (reputable company) so I dont lose 4 days or more of productivity.Maybe Northern Tool should stay up North because businesses in the South dont last long with poor customer service polices and management that just doesnt care!

Northern tool is a great bargain level tool/hardware store, quality can very wildly from junk to decent tools, but often times on a budget you can get what will get the job done. They also have a great selection of material handling equipment, dollys carts ect and trailer parts and ok prices. One of those places that it is good to stop on often to win big on the frequent sales, Ive gotten super lucky on a couple items.

I have started purchasing most of my tools here. They cary major brand names in tools and supplies. The store is easy to access and is always clean ans organized on tbe inside. The staff is always ready to help yoi find what you need. They will even help you pit it in your vehicle. However it will be up to you to get it out once you get home.

Rudest staff and sales department in the business. Came to exchange 4 pressure washing hoses that were purchased barely over 30 days ago that busted for no reason. I have been doing commercial pressure washing in Lubbock for over 8 years and have never had hoses break near this quick. The technician- Scott was very accusing and Irate nearly yelling- he must have been on drugs. The manager never apologized. When the sales guy brought me the hoses he threw them on the counter and said see ya. No one deserves to be treated like this. They will not work with you. Definitely do not buy equipment here. Under trained, inexperienced technical support and staff all around. If your needing pressure washing supplys do not shop here. Call ace spray equipment in Lubbock tx.Jonathan

The store was not very crowded and I had people that work there walking by me not asking if I needed help thats a little annoying. Lady at the cashier desk was super awesome.

A new store on the west side Northern Tool is a welcome addition. Northern is Harbor Frieghts more expensive cousin, they do sell Milwaukee and Dewault tools along with Ingersoll-Rand products and other name brand items. Their bottom of the line products are close to HF in quality and higher in price. The store is very organized, clean, and looks sharp.

I bought a heavy duty platform dolly came with pneumatic tires The tires didnt even last a day! When I showed the manger the issue he knew about this problem with the tires...never offered a discount to replace them.

The parts and service department is WAY overpriced!! Charged me more for the repair than what the weed eater cost brand new! Unless your equipment is made of gold dont waste your time with Northern Tool.
