I was concerned about some grinding coming from the front of my car and needing new brakes. David and his mechanics were available and kind, and gave honest quotes for work that needed to be done. They assessed my brakes and said they were not in need of replacement at this time, contrary to a competitor’s assessment. Should the need arise, I will consider this Meineke in the future. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Manager showed me the front end problem I had and explained what they needed to do to repair the problem. He gave me complete cost analysis of repairs before starting the work. I was very satisfied with the repairs. I would recommend others to go here for auto repairs.

David the owner messed up swapping the alternator on our vehicle putting us on the side of the highway (on a bridge). He knew we were in immediate danger and decided to make light of the situation telling me to work on it to figure it out. When asked if he would be reimbursing us for the tow he laughed at me.Very unhappy with their customer service, not to mention the failed repair. We got this thing replaced less than a month ago.Owner was wrong about auto zone being the source for the part and closed his office after saying the replacement part was set up. Cost me a 90$ part trip.Edit: David reached back out after they closed and said he would square up and was incredibly sorry. Ill update further if they follow through.

Kind of a long story so here goes. Last week I had some serious engine problems with my car. After calling the dealership I was told that my warranty as well as my extended warranty had both expired. My mom uses Meineke for all of her car repairs as well as routine maintenance and has always been highly satisfied with their work. I decided I was going to take my care to this location to have them do the necessary repairs on my car. I spoke with the owner, David Epp about what was going on with my car. He knew this was going to be an expensive and timely repair. He advised me to call the customer support center for my auto maker to see if I could get some help with repairing my engine, he even gave me the number to call. I called the # that he gave me and sure enough my engine was covered under a lifetime warranty and is going to be repaired at no cost to me. David did not have to do that. He could have told me to bring my car in, fix it and collect a pretty hefty sum for the repairs. In times like these where many businesses are struggling to make ends meet he could have done just that and I would have been none the wiser. This shows that David is a man of integrity and has gained a customer for life! I have used Meineke in the past for minor things like oil changes (fortunately, I have never had to undergo a major car repair) but from here on out I will use Meineke for any car issues that I may have. Thank you David for being a true professional man of integrity!

Let me start by saying my wife and I had a great experience. We were on a long road trip when an unexpected issue came up with our truck. They saw us first thing in the morning and resolved the issue within a couple of hours which kept us right on track. We want to give a big shoutout to the manager Dave and our mechanic Steve!! Meineke on 34th is a small shop but is very prompt, friendly, and professional. They also went above and beyond to get warranty coverage from my cars alternator, which I really apprecited. I will definitely be using them again!

These guys were almost successfully in getting me to replace a functional engine under the pretext that my flooded engine would never ever work. It is good that I took a second opinion on my car with a second mechanic, who cleaned my engine and the car was working fine 3 days after they told me lies that, my car will NEVER function. These guys will overwhelm you with problems if you ever service your car with them, and will make you spend way way more money than what is required. STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THESE GUYS! STOPPING RECOMMENDING HALF MEASURES just so that you could earn a dollar or thousand!

Being a female college student with little knowledge of cars I was extremely worried about taking my car to a mechanic for the first time on my own when I first came to university a few years ago. I lucked out when I chose this garage. They are a stand up crew, very honest, upfront, and don’t try to trick you into paying more than you need to. I have been using this garage exclusively for the past 3 years. Just today when my car wouldn’t start yet again since the bad freeze, I gave them a call and they gave me the phone number for towing dispatch and told me they would help me out with whatever I need. I can’t give them a high enough rating. Outstanding service and I highly recommend using them first and above all if you are new to the area!!!

The guys took care of my exhaust system and gave me a state inspection while my truck was in the shop. All at a price lower than I expected. My pipes sound really good!

Got a $91 synthetic oil change that included a free tire rotation and free brake check. Got the oil change, but not the tire rotation or the brake check. Had to ask how my brakes looked and the answer was they think they look good, not to convincing. With that answer and no sounds of impact wrenches taking off my tires for rotation and brake check, i concluded that the work that was promised was never performed. Not a happy camper. Miss you Chip. Guess Ill go elsewhere.

I needed to get a vehicle inspection to renew my vehicle registration which was expiring that day. Because of the Nationwide pandemic inspection vehicle places require an appointment. I called quite a few businesses trying to get in before the close of business at the DMV. Nobody could take me in fortunately I called Meineke and they took me right in pass my inspection and got my registration. They were very professional and they even replaced a tail light that was out for no extra charge except for the cost of the bulb very very impressed with this business. Will come back!

Very pleased with the service I received! Recently had my brakes worked on and they did a great job for a reasonable price. They explained exactly what needed to be done and quoted me a low price (minimum repair) and higher price (to take care of another issue). Im glad they gave me an option. I was also quoted an estimated time of completion and they were done right around that time. I was in and out of there in one morning. Friendly staff, too! I couldnt be happier. Ill definitely return when I need other things repaired.

My car was recently diagnosed in another city with a couple broken gaskets in the turbo assembly/exhaust manifold. Once at Meineke, they even found another issue (an oil leak I knew about) and discovered it was an easy fix. They great about confirming the diagnoses and getting started on the repairs promptly. David would spend 15+ minutes on the phone with me whenever I would call, providing me with a detailed update and answering all of my questions. They were all very straight forward with the repairs and supportive in trying to save me money. My car is back to where it should be and I will definitely be seeing them for my future repair needs.

I arrived 30 min before close on a Saturday for an inspection on 2018 Accord. VERY low revenue for them, more of just a PIA really. David’s communication was great. My AC check uncovered another issue that was explained right away and gave me the opportunity to get the repairs needed in one day. He also double checked the work at the end and was able to replace a gasket that had a leak that was not easily seen before.

Ive come here a couple times for some minor exhaust work, but its the most recent visit that has motivated me to leave a review.I got off shift late and pulled up to Meineke at 10 till closing needing a y-pipe welded on my pickups exhaust. Im never that guy, but I was really needing this done before leaving town the next morning. I believe the gentlemans name at the front desk was David, but I may be mistaken. He said they would take a look, but I may have to come back. He came back a few minutes later and said he would go ahead and weld it on for me. He gave me a great price and his weld looks very clean.I would like to say thank you to David for his great customer service and professional welding skills. He fixed me up in a pinch and I greatly appreciate it!

I am a mechanic my self. I only bring my trucks to the shop when I need specialty tools I dont personally have. After many shop experiences here in Lubbock, Meineke on 34th is the most honest shop. If you dont need it fixed they wont pressure you into buying unnecessary parts. They allow you to watch the work that is being done. Extremely professional. Super nice team. Fair prices!!

They charge $110 an hour. They charge a certain amount of time per job. For example, they charge 4 hours for a job, but they did it in an hour and a half.When I asked about why they charge 4 hours for a job that took an hour and a half, the manager said “well hey, my mechanic needs to make money too”.Also, I brought in really good parts I bought on rock auto. They refused to use my parts because it would void their warranty if something went wrong with their fix. Whatever that means. The parts they used cost twice what I paid for mine, and were of lesser quality. Cool.Anyway, in total, a job that would have cost me no more than $600 since it was basically in their shop for about 4 hours (I had multiple jobs done) ended up costing me nearly $1500.I just went for it because I got a huge paycheck and was being lazy. But this is lame. Mechanic already charging an absurd $110 hourly rate, and way overcharging on hours. Basically, don’t go here.A reasonable 2 stars because they solved my problem, but overcharged.

My wife’s sisters and father live in this town so we come to visit quite frequently. On this particular visit, my wife had a CT registry test to take and on the Saturday morning of her test, I drove her to the Wells Fargo building downtown only to hear a loud grinding noise each time I braked. I knew our pads were getting low and thought we had some left until the following week. Needless to say, I tore up part of the rotor on the front passenger side and needed to find a place to help me out. This shop was located close to where we were at, I called the shop and they had told me it could be about a 30 to 45 minute wait to get the car looked at. I went, after about only 15 minutes, they looked at my vehicle, told me they could machine the rotor rather than replace it, replaced my brake pads, was out of the shop in an hour and a half total time. To say the people here are wonderful and honest is an understatement. I witnessed a previous customer walk in and give the lady at the front counter money to buy lunch on him since she told him a corny joke which in turned caused many of his friends to laugh. I saw an older gentlemen with a classic car let a younger boy walk in and around his vehicle to entertain him. I sat next to elderly couple who I had the most wonderful conversation with. I highly recommend this shop for any needs you may have with your vehicle. To leave this review is a small way that I can say “Thank you” to everyone who works here. Thanks so much for getting us back on the road!

Came into Meineke to see if they could find a very small leak in a tire. They were able to find the leak and patch it and had me back on my way quickly! I have used them several times, and feel like they shoot straight and get the issues solved quickly. Would recommend them to anyone.

As always the service at them people were great. But I sure made a mistake by letting them sell me an air filter for $30 that I could have got for $12 at the nearby auto supply store!
