I have loved and used Armadillo since printing in a dark room was still a thing, but this last time I used them in April, they astounded me. I have never had a photographer take pictures of my family before and I got some Social Distancing photos taken. They are so special to me. Armadillo didnt know how special, and an employee STILL hand delivered the prints to my porch because I ordered an 8x10 and they didnt want it to get damaged in shipping. On top of this, our prints were beautiful, and ALWAYS are!

The guys in here are awesome and beer knowledgeable about the equipment that they carry. I am glad that there is a local camera shop here in town and that I chose to buy local!

Awesome customer service. I had part of an SD card break off into the slot and they took the time to fish out the basically microscopic broken piece. Because of this they saved me time and money from shipping it off. Thank y’all!

I came here when I took a film class at SPC and they always had everything I needed and they always knew what they were talking about and didnt try to upsell me.

Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Good perks with purchases, like free classes. Hard to get these days. Sort of like finding a good hi-fi shop in the 21st century. Few and far between. Good example of a local business!

I’ve been disappointed with the service both times I gave the store a chance for my business. The owner is rude and blatantly lied to me. Go online where you get better prices and better service!

Looks like they have all the business they need, couldn’t help but feel ripped off leavening that place, I asked a simple question, because I’m a beginner and I was talked down too by some boomer like I was a little kid asking a dumb question, the store is extremely over priced and out of date. Don’t even waste your time or money, you can get better deals online I’d rather order on line then give my money to rude out of date business owners. Local doesn’t mean it’s better.

I called looking for a specific camera and they were one of the only ones in the state of Texas that had one. They were happy to do the order over the phone and made the process easy. I had the camera in my hands in 3 days. Outstanding!

Old men didnt really care about me or my experience there. Honestly order online cause stuff is way to expensive. Maybe if your an older person you might get more attention but I didnt feel welcomed at all

Best photography gear store in West Texas. They carry a full assortment of Canon and Nikon bodies and lenses.Really good selection of gear, like bags and tripods.I needed an unusually tall tripod and they turned me on to Sirui. Id never heard of them, but it fit the bill. Fast forward two years and now Sirui is everywhere. Moral of the story: Armadillo is a great place to shop + theyre ahead of the curve.

Armadillo has fallen behind the times and will be replaced by B&H because they offer no services or information in the store. My past several visits I was not helped and left with the impression they did not want any more business. They do not service cameras, clean sensors, or develop film. It is a relic.

Just called to get an email address to ask questions for a very large job and was told I would have to come in in person. They also told me they were very slow right now so Im surprised they dont want the work. I live in Dallas and cant come in in person. I guess Ill find someone else.
