Thank you Sally Beauty Supply for helping me fix my hair which I had dyed horribly wrong with a box dye. The manager and staff were great in talking me through everything I’d need to do to, and showing me which products to use. With their advice, I managed to get almost my exact natural color back which was my goal! I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out!

Where are the original staff? I raised my children shopping at this Sallys for decades, through every stage of life, and with the same manager+cashiers for the most part, but i walked in and was shocked to see that now the store looks, sounds and smells very different and basic, and not one staff member looks familiar in any way. I asked where everyone went and was met with a oh theyre all gone. I realize that some things are kept confidential in the business world but maybe try a better explanation. To some of us it matters.
The ladies at the registers are very friendly and willing to help, if needed. They are always sure to check my account for coupons as well as answer questions and suggest products based on what Im looking to do with my hair. 90% of the time they have my hair color in stock. This is why they have had my repeat business for years!
As an RN, I appreciate a business who follows best practices. I have zero tolerance for non-maskers. If they’re too infirm to wear a mask, they’re too infirm to be in a public store. This is a small store with tight aisles, and no clear way to distance. They had what I needed, were professional, and I will be back.
Went in today just to buy some hair dye. As soon as we step foot in tells my boyfriend to put on a mask. He couldn’t find his in the car and we were willing to buy one and he asked and she told him no. When I asked where the hair dye brand I was looking for she pointed in a general direction instead of showing me where, then continued to bark directions at me from the desk instead of helping me find it. Then proceeded to help someone else by walking them to what they were looking for. Extremely rude and once I found what I was looking for shouted at me across the store telling me it was right in front of my face even though I had already been looking at it for a minute now. I’m just glad she wasn’t the one to ring me up. I was so extremely ready to leave. The older lady that works there has always been extremely polite to me. Turned down a membership card because I have no intention of returning again.
I have always received great service when going into Sallys but today as I go in the lady said I needed a mask I told her that I have health issues and prefer not to wear one.. instead of her asking well can I grab something for you or can I help she rolls her eyes and blows and walks off... Where did the great customer service go... If you choose to wear a mask good for you but if you choose not to wear one that should be acceptable as well

Everytime I go into sallys the employees are extremely rude EVERYTIME! I will NEVER step foot back into Sallys in Lynchburg horrible staff so rude they need training on customer service.
The lady was very rude who was working the front. We were allowed in the store without masks were in for a little while. I went to grab the card from my uncle at the door and the lady told me I needed my mask which odd because she let me in but okay no big deal. So went out and my aunt said the lady said thats just ridiculous. Im sorry but that is uncalled for I understand you have your right to speech. My thing is though, educate yourself. There are people out in the world who cannot wear a mask. These people have medical conditions and PTSD and anxiety that make it to where they cannot wear one. I understand not being able to go in the store because of that no big deal thats your decision but dont let me in seeing I dont have a mask and then decide to change your mind.
Came in the store to purchase hair coloring supplies. Upon shopping the store clerk asked me why I did not have on a mask. I told her that I choose not to wear one. She said I needed to have one on. I told her I was only here to purchase a few items. She wouldn’t let me purchase items unless I was wearing a mask. As I was walking out without purchasing my items because I choose not to wear a mask another employee without a mask on told me that I must have on a mask. Sally lost my business today.
It is NOT their place to say who needs a mask. IT IS A MANDATE NOT A LAW! But bc I refused to wear one, im white, and I open carry on my hip, they called the LPD bc they said I was threatening them. Not once did I threaten. Not once did I make it known that I carry a firearm. Not once did I touch my firearm. I simply denied wearing a mask and stood up for myself and my daughter. Shame on these women for causing an uproar for ZERO reason.
The last time I went to Sallys it was not a good experience. This time around was a lot different. The girl was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable about what I needed. Definitely will give them another try
Products are great, customer not so much. They make you feel as though youre going to take something every single time you go in. Not everyone is a thief.!!Wont go back.
Absolutely the worst customer service ever. The three women in the store were rude beyond belief. It was as if I owed them something for shopping in their store. I will NEVER purchase anything from this or any Sally Beauty supply chain ever again. Would give negative stars if I could.
The variety of products is nice however the service is not up to par. Not alot of customer service. Yes they answers questions when asked but overall could be more friendly. Again, good products, good quality, just need to work on that customer service.
Very poor customer service made me feel super insecure about my hair
My cousin and I went there today around 11:30. The lady who was working was very rude. We both wanted to purchase hair extensions and she talked to us like we were idiots because we had never purchased them before so we were asking questions. Simple questions. I did purchase some and she also argued with me that they won’t work with the color of my hair. I have them in now. They match perfectly. My poor cousin was so frustrated by how rude she was that she didn’t even purchase anything even though it was her idea to go to begin with. They have a lot of great products but terrible customer service.
I will not shop here anymore, poor customer service is an understatement!! I was told my service dog couldnt come in their store because he wasnt wearing a vest. I told them to check the ADA regulations on service animals and she told me no, she wasnt checking anything. These people were so rude to me and my dog that he got stressed out had an accident while they were arguing with me. I cleaned it up and asked for their names and the manager refused to provide her name as she said she had nothing to do with it and the other associate kept rolling her eyes and giving me attitude. Needless to say, I called corporate. This store really needs to reevaluate their associates attitude in the work place.
Decent selection, but way overpriced on most items. I can literally find the same products on ebay and Amazon for up to 35% less than Sallys!
Only gave a 1 cause only lowest option. Two employees, we me and grandchild only customers i asked, loudly commented snd remarked about 6 times, once standing 2 ft from workwrs that i needed help. Help determining all i needed or how to mix so id buy enough due to i said that too i had my eyeglasses at home...no one offered any help..only stared and did not offer any assistance. I was so upset we left didnt buy at all. I didnt know what all to buy. As i stood to come out i even told loudly to my granddaughter sorry we cant get it today noone will help me to decide what i need. I need help with the fine print reading. Worker stoid there still watched us leave offering nothing..
This is an organized & well stocked beauty supply store. With sales, the prices can be reasonable but some items are overpriced.

There were 2 ladies working. Both at the register fussing about people using the umbrella holder as a trashcan. Neither appeared to notice I was even in the store. One of the ladies fussed the intire time I was in there about that. Really just put a trash can in the front too. It would solve the problem.

I visit Sallys 11‐6-21 around 6:45pm with a note that said emergency close. I then arrived today around 1:45 that said will reopen at 240pm. Call it frustration be added i had my heart set on doing something special to me hair, but Im sure I wont go to this Sallys any more. I rather go out of town and get my Sally needs and bring it back to Lynchburg.
