Beautiful, clean, and friendly! Great prices This! This was my first time visiting the Liberty University campus for my graduation π and this was our first stop. I had not reserved a cap and gown by April 23rd and could not find any cap and gown for a masters program in navy blue on any website! We arrived after driving 9 hours to be greeted by friendly staff who cared, were fast, and friendly. I am in awe of this university and this amazing bookstore. I am so grateful for Jerry Falwell Sr.s dream of having this university. #highlyrecommend
A really nice place for students to get textbooks, LU merch, and other schooling supplies. However my favorite part of the bookstore is the selection of non academic books they have. My favorite genre is fiction specifically fantasy. And there were a lot of interesting titles that I want to dive into.
The staff was extremely kind. They were very helpful. They all had great customer service.
I ordered a frame on line for my daughters dupima and it was beautiful. It came in less than a week! Your store is great and your staff is wonderful! Thanks and God bless you all!
I like Liberty University for the most part, but this bookstore is a horrible scam! You should never buy anything here if you can avoid it! They sell extremely overpriced books that are often over 100 dollars each. Students are forced to buy them here for these prices because many of these expensive books are required for classes and are almost impossible to find anywhere else. For example, a unimpressive average Calculus book here currently costs 148.28 dollars for a single book! This same Calculus book is required for Calculus class at Liberty, which is mandatory for most majors at Liberty. It is an egregious scam because they know that their customers are forced to pay these prices! It is so wrong and immoral that they scam poor Liberty students who often already have very little money and are quite poor! They are basically stealing from some of the very poorest people in all of America, which are college students! However, none of these things mean that you should not go to Liberty University, especially since a lot of Universities pull this exact same overpriced textbooks scam, so it is difficult to avoid anyways. Besides, reletive to the cost of tuition, about 12 thousand dollars per semester, hundreds of dollars for textbooks per semester is less then 5% of college expenses, so you may still save money overall by going to Liberty, depending on the price of your alternative options for University.
Youd expect more books in a book store. Its more of a place to pick up books ordered online and the rest is a Liberty school spirit clothing and merchandise store.
In my opinion the selection was a bit dry and I could only browse 20% of the whole store because the rest was blocked or had a bunch of technology on the bottom floor, and the top floor was nothing but Liberty University paraphernalia for as far as the eye can see. But I will give it a three star because I did find some interesting selections in the, small, world history selection.
Liberty U is impressive! 110,000 students, 7000 acres and the campus is beautiful.
A bit pricey but lots to choose from and helpful and kind staff!
I HATE THE LIBERTY BOOKSTORE. WHEREβS MY BOOK DOLLARS. WHERE ARE THE LIBERTY MOM SHIRTS? #biggestletdown#Libertymoms4thewin
Expected prices to be high. Not bad at all. Great variety.
Have a wonderful time there at CFAW, college for a weekend, my son Daniel was touring the campus with some friends, we were treated very well and enjoyed all the interactions with staff and students, loved the snowboard park, mountain bikes, chapel experience, amazing concerts from school of music ensembles!! ... and touring the beautiful campus
Incredible helpful and friendly staff, buying school books done literally in minutes.
So organized. Very helpful.
Wonderful book store. Great prices.
Fun festive weekend all around
It was the one and only game we will have a pleasure of attending this year but it was fun to do so. Found something I just absolutely had to have at the bookstore, lol! Liberty zip up fleece jacket and I love it already. The band was socially distanced as well as in the student section which was nice to see. Facilities were well maintained, hot chocolate was not good.
Usually I am very satisfied with the customer service and the work at this bookstore. But this semester has been one let down after the next. It is now the third week of classes and I am still waiting on a textbook I ordered July 1. I called the bookstore repeatedly and emailed them and never received a response. I understand they are busy at the time, but when I finally did get a response, the worker on the phone was rude. Additionally, every order I have placed recently has been on backorder, and these are items I need for this semester. Like I said, I understand that the store is busy at the beginning of the semester and that COVID has made things crazy. But if youβre not able to keep up with the students and their needs, maybe reopening was not the best idea. The bookstore is hurting me financially because now I am required to print and pay for multiple assignments which are contained within my textbooks that I already paid for but still do not have. I am just highly disappointed with how the bookstore is running this semester.
LU is a beautiful campus and I truly enjoyed the commencement of the Music School.
This place has a lot of cool things π
I donβt typically give bad reviews, but this bookstore is an absolute mess. Iβve talked to so many employees trying to get ONE book and only one of them has been nice and semi helpful. Iβve emailed 3 times across an entire month and never received a reply for any of them. It is week 4 into my classes and I paid $140 for a book that I didnβt even get to use for probably 30% of the semester. OF COURSE itβs on backorder, but of course they donβt tell you they donβt have the book until after you order it, so you just have to deal with it. Save yourself the hassle and order your book from amazon. Thereβs no reason I should be paying this much to go to a private university and I canβt get a book to save my life.
Beautiful, clean store. A huge selection of Liberty gear, Christian books, and school texts. They also have a Starbucks inside with a nice amount of seating.
Very attentive to ones needs
Horrible.. went to go pick up a textbook and was told to order online and then come pick it up. This was so unprofessional, as this is not reflected on the website. Liberty is much better than this kind of 2nd rate service.. drove over an hour for this kind of service.8/23/2020Thanks for your response but did you ever think perhaps that online students living nearby may need and want to shop for text books too? Perhaps there should be a notice on your website???
Nice Barnes & Nobles
I was on campus for a Bands of America competition. I parked near the book store, so I thought Id stop in and buy my son a Liberty Flames ball cap. I walked in, it was quiet, but I fairly quickly found what I was looking for. There seemed to be only one employee working on the first floor and she was helping someone (presumably a student) by phone, trying to locate a book. It was taking forever. I was trying to be patient, as I knew the primary reason for the place to exist was to serve students, but my patients was being tried as this only employee hadnt even made eye contact with me. Finally another employee came down from the second floor. Finally, some help! Oh, nope... She just looked right at me and continued walking into some employee-only work area. At this point, I just said screw it, left the ball cap on the counter and walked out.
The store is always filled with so many great things. It is true that stuff you buy here will be a bit but the quality is high. We never miss an opportunity to stop by the LU bookstore when we are in town!
I would expect that it being a Liberty bookstore the employees would be kinder, but unfortunately I havenβt had a good experience with the bookstore in the three years Iβve been here. I try to avoid getting my books from them at all costs but sometimes you donβt have another choice. Almost every staff member I have talked to when coming has been short or just plain rude. Itβs frustrating and disappointing being a student and dreading going to the bookstore, especially when sometimes you have to go. I would recommend getting books elsewhere if you have the choice.
Nice place. Book are way overpriced
Very clean, bright, and spacious.
Friendly but expensive
Awesome place
Great selection of Apparel. Very nice.
Liberty bookstore located on campus has a wide variety of Liberty U apparel.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and Starbucks.
Awesome π
Employees are kind and always willing to help. Very accommodating during the Covid pandemic.
Excellent book store and Fantastic selection of Liberty Flames gear!!
High priced but classy.
Pricey place.. beautiful campus
Well stocked. Friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of items for all ages.
Great campus store
Marvelous
Huge selection of the stuff parents of freshmen need. Luca was a tremendous help in finding a few things we needed. Plenty of free parking, too. The staff is very helpful and friendly, like everyone we ran into as we navigated our way around the campus.
Huge selection upstairs of Liberty merchandise. All books are now downstairs. Really nice improvement.
Hopefully this will help inform prospective students and their nosy parents of what the Liberty Bookstore is like.Held by Barnes and Noble, the look of the bookstore is very upper class. It has two floors and a Starbucks on the second. The store is filled with a load of LU clothing. Because it is a B&N store, the prices for clothing and other materials are going to be expensive.Book ordering can be done in store, but it is best to be done online on the Liberty Bookstore website. Just Google Liberty Bookstore, it will come up.The bookstore is located in the center of campus. It has large parking lots, and is guarded by a fleet of tow trucks. Everything is within walking distance, but no need! The bookstore even has a bus stop! That should cover the basics! Enjoy.
Awesome place to visit. Lots of LU gear.
It is a really nice place to chill and do school work. Theres a lot of good merchandise here
Melanie was very helpful in the purchasing of my books as well as all the other associates when trying to find and get my LU experience started this semester
Awesome store with tons of college gear and a STARBUCKS!!!!
The staff is friendly, the store is beautiful, the prices are fairly good. I enjoyed the whole trip to the bookstore. They have everything you need liberty!
Very overpriced
Open to the public and part of Liberty University, this bookstore is a Barnes & Nobles with Starbucks inside. Anything to do with the University and its classes is available as well as clothing, jewelry, and many books of general interest. It is easy to go to with free parking and handicap access.
This place is awesome, I was there just this weekend... They have some really good quality stuff and I got a few books that were ONE DOLLAR EACH from a discount rack on the first floor
I really enjoy going into the bookstore. They have a HUGE selection of Liberty Spiritwear, and a nice selection of current books both from Christian publishers and some mainstream authors. A large language section and coffee shop on the main level. Nice and helpful staff.
I bought a textbook online for the used price which was $80 cheaper than the new price. Got the receipt and a confirmation email with the used price listed. The next day I get a alert from bank reporting an excessive charge. Turns out they charged me for a new textbook for $80 more than I thought I paid. When I went to the store to find out what happened, a manager told me that this textbook didnβt have used copies and he could only charge me the new price. He said that the listed used price was a mistake. Without so much as an email, a text or any notification, Iβm out $80 due to an error on their end. Thatβs not good customer service. And the worse thing is, that textbook doesnβt exist anywhere else, so I canβt even take my business elsewhere.
Besides the location on campus, this bookstore runs as a Barnes and Noble where you can order books in advance, the textbook prices are very competitive to Amazon, and theres a Starbucks located here too.
Heard a lot of stories about this place. Very, very nice. Very kind people and nice. A lot to see and ask questions
Great
I made an online order and one of the items were not in stock so I was told by an employee via voicemail that I could replace the item and so I called them back and told them what I wanted and they said they would take care of it, sounds easy right? Nope. I checked my Liberty university Vibe card today and I was charged 2 times and when I called about it, the guy I spoke to yesterday to replace the out of stock item he didnt even have enough common decency to tell me his self what happen, he told a coworker what to say to me which was bad customer service after waiting on the phone so long just to talk with him (which the girl picked up and didnt know she took me off hold so I heard everything). If you shop here, dont order online, it was and is alot of inconvenience because now I have to cancel my card and dispute the extra duplicate charge with the bank because the Liberty university bookstore staff state that they didnt charge me two times. The guy told the female to tell me to email him but why waste my time if you didnt even think my concerns were important enough to get on the phone and address them with me after I had to track you down and wait on hold forever? Horrible experience and I told them to cancel the other order that they were going to try and charge me a 3rd time for. No thanks!
Barnes and Noble took over this store a few years ago, so they add their flair. It is a huge 2 story store with ample parking and lots of great merchandise and souvenirs, along with all the college necessities.
I would like to thank John and Dan for yall help with my order and I really appreciate it like yall went the extra mile π thanks again
Employees were very friendly. I was able to find the book I wanted and so many more Ive looked at. The journals are also awesome. Its hard to find them
Nice book store things were really expensive for my taste. They did have a Starbucks inside though.
This place is great! Love going when I visit my daughter.
This place has it all
Amazing place to get coffee and buy liberty university apparel
Love going into the bookstore! The staff is always friendly and helpful!
The cost of the books is more experience than Amazon or other book store
I just had the most awesome experience with the LU Bookstore!! The assistant manager Stephanie is a life saver and she just made my day!! Thank you and your staff so very much!!!
So inspired. Our guide Josiah was so personable and added his own touch with his experience at Liberty. We are praying that, with Gods heip, we will be able to help our 9th grader fulfill his dream of attending Liberty in 4 years!!
Beautiful store! Love all the LU items and the coffee shop
Asked for a green tea latte at the starbucks in-store, and they left out the green tea powder...literally just gave me a cup of milk and charged four dollars. the bookstore itself is nice, but everything is really overpriced.
Great customer service!
Ridiculous expensive.I had wanted to bring a souvenir back home for our minister.Go across the road to Walmart. Purchase your Liberty University souvenirs there for much friendlier prices.
Amazing
We came for a tour today to check out Liberty! I couldnt belive how detailed it was, how many questions we got answered, and how beautiful this place is!! Thank you Liberty for a great experince and all the wonderful information!
Not a full barnes and noble. Limited book selection. Get textbooks here for LU courses. Mainly college apparel and knick knacks. Typically on the high end but comparable with other college bookstores
Brought me a LU shirt from here. Ima buy me some more stuff soon. Only thing I dont like is the price to high lol specially for the coats. But other than that its a good place to by your school stuff from .
Decent Barnes and Noble, good Starbucks with a nice sized seating area, typical selection of school swag
Very expensive bookstore. I asked a student for help, she walked away without helping. I was overcharged, which seemed to really inconvenience her. Online students cant not buy their books there. I found it easier to go to Walmart and buy liberty souvenirs.
Apparel selection is limited to school gear and the food in the cafe is hit-and-miss, but the first floor has all the textbooks a Liberty student could need, and the second floor has all the recreational books a student (or anyone) could want in such a convenient location. The prices may not always be the best, but the employees are helpful and, since most are students themselves, they will answer questions truthfully. When an employee told me I may not need to buy a particular textbook because it is included online in a digital format with the class, they earned my trust.
I love this store. They have many many selections of books, magazines, movies, CDs,and many more things there. The cafe is a bonus.
Nice environment, great service, and awesome selection.
Always nice to browse, all employees seem to love working with you, and this place is never trashed.
Nice, clean store, but not as big of selection as a normal B&N.
Beautiful Campus and easy to get around. Feels safe and peaceful.
We got great coffee and hot chocolatebefore TobyMac concert
Theres many options for spirit gear, textbooks are available, cafe is clean, as are the bathrooms. Lost a star when they lost the clearance section
Great LU merchandise and collegiate necessities!!! Super friendly staff!
Overall a great spot to stop on the LU campus. However, certainly wish there was more seating inside as it is usually very crowded.
Convenient with choices beyond the usual university bookstore
Its okay but over crowded and little space to get by in. Hopefully they will consider making it bigger.
The past several times I have gone into the bookstore I have had some of the most terrible customer service. In the actuall bookstore there is typically only one register open, and asking for help takes a long time. In the Starbucks, the credit card machines dont properly work. The baristas were unwilling to get a manager to help them, and ultimately I left because of this.
So many things to choose from! Friendly staff
