Came here for a surprise for our kids before our move and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We spent more then we wanted but our kids had a blast and love their bears. Thats all that matters. They also have specials going on and for every 25 dollars get a $10 gift card. So not bad if you want to get little outfits.
I was so disappointed when I brought my youngest daughter here for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The last time I was at a build a bear was probably like 2006 or 2007 in Spokane, back when my oldest daughter (who just turned 20) was little. Back then, it really was a somewhat magical experience for kids. But 2 weeks ago at the Everett store when i brought my youngest, it was nothing like that. They have very few bears to choose from, the 3 girls working there clearly dont like to actually have to work or help customers. Theyre not friendly. They give the impression of being bothered when asking for any sort of help. It was just a total let down and complete waste of time and money! Very disappointed
Not enough staff, waited 20 min before deciding to leave without getting the bear... Only had one girl working who was trying her best but she could only do so much... Not her fault, store should have scheduled more staff.
The staff that finally managed to help my daughter make stuffies for her birthday was sweet if not a bit “canned”. I didn’t see hearts in the heart container and feared that it had been removed from the process but there was a hidden drawer were the hearts were kept. However, the store inventory has been greatly reduced and they sold Christmas clothes for full price in July. I didn’t want to ruin the experience for my daughter and didn’t say anything negative but the impression is they are going out of business and are simply trying to make a buck on the way out. There were only two staff members and the pickings for bears and accessories was slim. If you go to these stores for the experience, like me, then I advise you skip the Build-a-Bear in Lynnwood.
Excellent selection. Don’t listen to Briana. I think she works for a competitor. Or just has bad taste, hard to say really.
The experience was perfect from start to finish. Especially in the pandemic times. The store associates were super friendly, counting and letting people in to meet the social distancing requirements. The store was clean and orderly. The kids had a blast. We felt safe while we were there.
They always have great staff and it’s clean. They have been very short on inventory though. There were only a couple bear choices the last time we went which was disappointing for the kids.
Very expensive but worth it. My 10 yr. Old loved it.
My 2 year old loved making a bear here, great place to take your young ones
Zero selection. We were so disappointed. Its been a tradition for my children to take them to build a bear for their 2nd birthday. Everytime we took my older 4 there was plenty to choose from and it was a real wonderful experience. This time was the worst. I guess it could be because of covid. Idk.
The staff was so nice! Even with all of the restrictions due to COVID, they made the children feel special while making their bears
Best place to go for the little ones or yourself if you need a cuddle buddy
Big selection, and a nice looking and clean store, the staff is very nice, but its a little overpriced.
Good selection of options and the layout is pretty kid friendly, even with the updates to accommodate covid restrictions. Staff was super helpful and welcoming. My family had a great time.
A really great experience! 10/10 recommend. The employees seemed happy to be there and it made our time there that much better.
The staff here is really friendly and they help however they can. If you are not familiar with the company they have a rotating selection of skins you can get stuffed as well as themed clothing for them. If there is ever a problem, no matter how old the plush, they will re- stuff, re-stitch, etc. If the batteries go out on a sound you can pay shipping to have them fixed or buy a new sound box. Love that feature. I have a very old, maybe almost 20 years old plush, and got him some more stuffing at no charge.
Online has the cool ones. But its still fun to watch them fill your bear up and everything.
Very good experience, friendly staff, overall doing well with distancing everyone, only criticism is maybe a bit of miscommunication about where to stand for the different areas.
I took my 6 year old here yesterday. I was so impressed! For the mandates in place, Build a Bear is doing everything right! They have found a way to still engage with the kids and make it fun! We felt welcomed and safe! Will definitely be back!
People there were super sweet. You could tell there was the little bit of child in them and it was really cute
Very cute, great customer service, perfect for children or and cute date idea with a significant other
Its a little pricey. But if youre looking to make memories with your loved one. This is the place to go
I gave this 3 stars because most of the workers were so sweet and made the experience for my kids amazing. But when it was time to check out I had been filling out the birth certificates for my kids stuffed animals then i went and stood behind my sister who was checking out at the register. When it was my time to go up the lady at the register had asked me to hold on a minute so she could clean and wipe down the counter. This old lady who worked there came over and told her theres no time to wipe it down and to just ring me up. She then got rude and started making comments, as if I couldnt hear her, about how I wasnt in the correct spot to be checked out. Since we are in a pandemic cleaning and wiping things down is important and especially at a place for children. So the fact that she told her coworker to skip over that was not okay. It pretty much says she doesnt care about the customers and their safety. Working at a place for kids you should have better customer service. I have been going to this build a bear since I was little but because of her and how unwelcoming and rude she was I will not be returning to this one ever again.
Mask police at the front are apparently licensed medical professionals practicing medicine by denying those who have government mandated masks on and determining whos mask is allowed and whos isnt. No thanks, Ill support somewhere else.
No matter what age is always fun to get a Teddy Bear!
I have shopped Build A Bear with my grandkids for the last 10 years at the Alderwood Mall. I have always had a wonderful experience until today! We usually buy 3-5 times a year. Today was the WORST customer experience I have had in years at any store. The associate had no customer service skills or knowledge when I asked a couple questions. I had to suggest she ask her manager. I wanted to buy my 3 gift cards for my purchase and she said it was too late. Horrid end result, she shook the bag at my granddaughter and threw my receipt at me after I had to ask for it. I usually try to buy in my own neighborhood, but I will not be back! A total of 2 customers in the store, so they were not busy or over whelmed. I know we are all functioning with Covid standards, but we had to wait 15 minutes to come in, although there was only 1 other person in the store. Then we were told to try not to touch anything? I am so disappointed for how our annual start of our Christmas season tradition was handled. But at least my granddaughter got her kitty and clothes. Oh, guess we could order online next time.
Woman who greets people doubles as mask enforcement, and is less than pleasant. She had the audacity to say I know Im being annoying But continued following around people and bothering them if their masks werent properly placed to her specific standard. They have paw print stickers on the floor they want people to use to social distance, and if you dont follow them to the point where your feet are outside that sticker an inch prepare to be rushed like your in the middle of a football field holding the ball, because staff literally run up on you raising thier voices telling you to stand within your sticker. This location has over the top staff, and if you are going to mistreat people your store should stay closed until after the pandemic, the people dont need anymore negativity, and come here to experience fun..
Expensive but fun and cute
Best costumer service that we had 😄
I have always loved my experience at Build-a-bear until today. Of course every business has new policies and rules in place for the safety of the staff and guests, thats to be expected now. However, how companies deliver and enforce new policies is just as important.Today we brought our two boys for my sons birthday. There was a line out the door because the store was at max compacity. As we waited there was an employee guarding the entrance (Aileen). Theres no warm welcome or explanation of rules to follow once we enter the store, instead we watched her yell and boss other employees around from the front of the store. Ill recap the experience below.•The first interaction I witnessed was an employee who was arriving to work, Aileen barks at her what time are you in? The employee responds 1pm (it was 12:55) so Aileen barks a order to her to go to a certain section of the store when she clocks in. The poor girl looked intimidated by Aileen.•Next Aileen rushes into the store to bark at a customer who wasnt standing on a paw print sticker and as she walks away from the customer she was shaking her head, sighing, and showing complete frustration because of the guest. Then she puts sanitizer in her had pops open a container and pops a pill or mint in her mouth touching her mouth and didnt bother to sanitize after touching her mouth.•Then the cashier was getting backed up and Aileen sighed and rushed in to help guests at the second register while barking more orders to the girl who was attending the first register. The girl comes to the entrance to let customers looking in the window know that they are maxed out on customers. She then leaves the entrance unattended.•Finally its our turn and Aileen comes from the register frustrated that we werent let in yet and says Its your turn now. Im just trying to manage all these guidelines (Still no real greeting) Just as she said that to us she barked at another girl Give them the rules. The girl harshly gave us the guidelines for being in store (all reasonable guidelines but delivery is important).•Once my boys picked out their animals we stood in line to have them stuffed. The employees stuffing the animals seemed so miserable in their roles and I can only imagine its from the lack of leadership and poor employee culture in that location. They were okay at trying to make it fun for the kids.•Last as we went up to pay Aileen told us to hold on as she was pulling out a large band-aid. She bends over to cover her ankle tattoo, throws away the trash and then told us shed ring us out.Overall this location is in need of a true people leader. In the 45 mins total it was easy to see Aileen has no business leading others, or running a store that should be cheerful and happy for people to visit with their kids.
Went to this location on a Wednesday morning and I didn’t expect it to be busy but there was a decent amount of people when we arrived, we chose our bear and recorded our voices and waited for our bear to be stuffed, Eileen was very busy (being the only worker there) so we waited patiently. All in all it was a very great experience and Eileen was awesome! Don’t let the rude customers get you down Eileen! By the way Liam loves his lion!
We had $60 in gift cards and I had a $10 rewards certificate so we decided to take our 3 year old there for an end of the week treat. She loves her build a bears. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. I love when they do the $10 gift card for $5 when you spend a certain amount. Our daughter has had a pastel rainbow kitty for 3 years and it has held up great. We only had an issue with one out of the 16 we have and they were fast and helpful to get it fixed, Princess Poppy from Trolls head was coming off and all we had to do was bring it back in and they got us a new one no questions asked. We have never had an issue.
So much FUN at this place!! I used to go here all the time with my kids and buy stuffed animals for them. Then I went back and bought a bear for me and a kitty for a friend and just as much fun buying them as adults. Its just a super fun place to go and have fun and feel like a kid!!!😀😀🙂❤💗
I am so incredibly disappointed with your company. I have been shopping there for years. 20 years to be exact.I was so excited to take my 3 year old son for his first Build A Bear almost 7 years ago. He chose his bear and decided to record his voice to be placed in his bear.Over the years, he has dragged this bear everywhere with him. He played the sound over and over and over. The battery finally died. I brought the voice chip in to have the battery replaced to your Lynnwood, WA location about 8 months ago. I was told someone would call me when the battery was fixed at the Bear Hospital.I waited for two months. I called. I was given the run around. I called the next day. Someone promised they would call me back. They didnt. This process repeated over and over for the next 6 months. Everyone blamed someone else. No one owned the problem. Finally, last week, I called yet again but this time I spoke with Eileen. She promised she would call me and get to the bottom of it if she could. She apologized and honestly seemed like the first person that realized how important this was to me.I finally got a call from Eileen today. They think our voice chip was either lost or given to someone else by accident.Im so sad and disappointed. My child is 9 now. His sweet voice that comforted him and made me smile is now gone. Had someone been honest and cared in the beginning, this may have not been as awful. Maybe if it was given to someone else, it could have been retrieved with a simple phone call. There is no chance of this now.You have lost a once self proclaimed life long customer. Also, perhaps you should consider having Eileen train the other employees at this location on good customer service.
I loved coming here as a kid, to this exact location and never had issues with customer service and was always pleasant. However, my last visit over the weekend was not great. I was with a few friends and we went in and ok fine social distancing. They told us to stand on the paw prints which we did. The lady behind the counter then snapped at one of my friends that she was standing on the wrong paw print after that was exactly where my friend had been told to stand. Then this lady proceeded to tell her that she needed to pull the mask all the way up after it was already covering nose and mouth. Im asthmatic so i wear mine over my mouth but not my nose and had been nicely asked a couple of times to put it over my nose as well. I had no problem with that at all. The lady at build a bear however was snippy and rude in how she addressed the issue when the mask was already fully where it ought to be. Didnt catch her name but we left right away because her attitude was pretty hostile. We were there to buy birthday gifts so she just lost four customers in a span of 30 seconds. definately wont be going back if shes the one on duty
It was great to for my kids they were so excited to make a build a bear. My oldest kids have already been there twice but my youngest kids this was there first time.It was truly great. I love my kids and love to see them so happy. The employees were great.Thank you so much.My oldest daughters birthday went wonderful.
Got my wife, son and daughter a new set of Bears and they couldnt be more thrilled. The staff was super polite and extremely helpful while also respecting my time to record personal messages for each of my family members. Always a great experience when I take my family in.
Place is pricy but the smiles and excitement and a great memory is well worth it. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If something is not right they work to make it right. Definitely looking forward to doing this again. Great for good memories, a special gift, and birthday parties. Highly recommend this place.
My daughter and i went here yesterday to get My Little Pony Rainbowdash Stuffed Animal. We got to meet a super sweet older lady Aileen who has helped my little girl to stuff her Pony. I have not seen so much JOY in a long time! This lady was incredible at interacting with my daughter! I watched my 2.5 years old dance, clap, make a wish, give kisses to her pony with such a BIG smile and giggles as she followed all the heart rituals that Aileen did with her to stuff the Pony. This was such a sweet memory and i am glad i was able to video tape it.
I had lots of fun building new friends with my daughter
Took myself and my daughter here for the first time and it was so much fun! The staff when we were there were phenomenal, wish I could remember their names to give them a shout out. My daughter even found a tiger that was the cutest of all and on sale, plus they had dinosaur jammies, and for my kid, there was nothing better! I even treated myself to the new narwhal, so cute! We will definitely be back!
The staff here is super friendly. They treat each child in the store as if they are the only ones there. It might take some extra time for your child to full their bear, however its worth the wait.My daughter picked a My Little Pony, the store rep, an older gentleman, knew all the history of that Pony and had a 20 minute conversation with her about the show. The store was clean, fully stocked with plenty to choose from. If there was one more filling station to ease the time in line waiting it would have been perfect, however I would not have traded the wait time for the personal experience.
Came her for national teddy bear day last year and for the pay your age for the birthday bear. They are wonderful and aim to please and help. Some items are a bit overpriced for toy clothes, but just going for the experience is nice.
Cool place to bring your spouse or small child for special occasions. The ability to customize your animal makes it a truly memorable experience that you will remember everytime you see your unique creation.
Waiting in line to pay for over 1 hour, another hour waiting in line to stuff the toy, with 2 little kids, not enough cashiers, understaffed. When they have Birthday parties, should be advertised on line, so people can skip that time.
The customer service here is ridiculous they do not know how to talk to people are extremely annoying and one even yelled at us to move to a paw print after another employee had just told us that we could but did not need to we were social distancing so she was pretty dramatic the only good employee was the one stuffing the bears the others are pretty rude
We LOVE coming here with our family! The kids have so much fun and it’s such a nice treat. My only complaint is that I wish we had a store closer to us. We have to drive an hour to get to the Lynnwood location.
I am posting a one star rating to help lower the overall rating. #1. BaB corporate marketing cannot possibly be so incompetent as not to anticipate the response to the Pay your Age Day promotion. #2. The discount voucher is not an acceptable customer service replacement for those who were turned away. #3. The proper thing to do is offer the deal online to anyone who requests the promotional price and can prove the age of their child. Failing to do so will cause many thousands of negative reviews by others and hurt their bottom line, more than losing a bit of profit by honoring the original promotion. One negative review or unhappy customer is 10 time worse that a positive review and happy customer.
Went here for my daughters birthday and the staff were great! They really made it fun for the whole group of girls.
Fun to go through and look at. But too expensive. They need to chill with their prices. Little kids trying to make a teddy bear. Not a freaking dimond plated robot or whatever.
Cool place, got three stuffed toys and a couple of accessories for a little over 180$ oooof. Still cool place though.
My familey simply lovs this store we have many sweet stuff gifts from there
Great place with good prices. Nice and informative staff.
The people working here are very friendly and helpful. My daughter loved her first experience with BaB.
Expensive, but my granddaughter had a very special day, so it was worth it to me. She carries her bunny everywhere and loves listening to my voice telling her how much I love her.
Super fun, clean, staff is sweet to the kids. A little over priced.... But so cute!
Ok my kids love it. What kind wouldnt. But holy moly are they over priced. I wont take them unless I have an awesome coupon.
My kids needed help with two of the bears- the lady behind the counter was more concerned with stitching a bear on display than helping them! So we spent an extra 30 minutes plus trying figure out how the process works... I should’ve left this place but it’s for the kids! This review is what you should expect service wise! 😬
Always helpful.
We go here every year as a Mothers Day tradition. Pure fun.
Their Pay Your Age event was a marketung flop. To make things worse they were unapologetic about it. They offered vouchers that didnt come close to the original deal they were offering. How is that commiserate? This would have been my first time as a customer with them because theyre products are stupidly expensive. Its already a last. Huge fail Build a Bear and huge fail for the Lynwood location for making things worse with their behavior and attitude.
Friendly staff and my daughter really enjoyed building the bear but watch out for those accessories!
Staff is really friendly and great experience for the kid.
We celebrated my sisters 11th birthday at the Lynwood center last Friday and loved every minute of it. Although most of the guests arrived late due to heavy rain and traffic, the kids were kept engaged throughout. The store team was flexible with party time and ensured that every kid was taken care of. Way to go!
Vast selection. Super nice staff!
I love the concept of the build-a-bear stores. Very fun and enjoyable process. The staff there are very helpful as well
Fun, that kids of all ages love but gets expensive with add ons.
Love build a bear! So many options and workers make it fun
They make it a fun kid experience. Frustrating how they sell out of items, so challenging to coordinate. Overall happy kiddo experience.
The staff here is incredible. They make the experience truly amazing. My kids had such a great day making Chewie and Pikachu.
My kids love to visit here even when were not able to purchase they enjoy all the bears and stations
Great staff. Awesome for birthdays
Great experience getting a birthday bear for my 3 year old
Love this placeand great place for kids to
The staff is helpful, building your own bear is so cool.
Very expensive but we got the stuffed animal our 2 year old granddaughter wanted.
They were busy, but from beginning to end we felt like a burden, not a guest or customer.
This Is A Excellant Place! I Recommend Going There EVERY DAY!
Great place, friendly staff, nice sales.
We always have a fun time here
Great Services&Great Place for ChildrensImaginations
Had a great time and got a free bear
My daughter loves her Lily!

Fun stuff for babies, but everything is overpriced.
Great group of people that work there AAA+++++
My daughter loves this place
Expensive but great for kids
