Do not recommend ! Beware of this sorry excuse for a “dealership”. I bought a Jeep Patriot from here a while back and let’s just say it didn’t last a year before my transmission went out. Eventually I had to get another car because they sold me pathetic one. Stay away from this weekend pace.
I always wanted to write a review for Dan and the staff. I bought a 2006 Dodge Ram and a 2007 Ram. Same color. Very similar to each other. This was back in 2013. 2014. My son bought the 07 from us and traded it in eventually for a new lease. Proud to say we still have the 06!! We even named her. Cassie! lol. She is like a family member. The gang at Madison made it easy on me and made sure I was happy before I drove off the lot! Thank you. See you again soon
Good reviews are fake, mostly from family and close friends of this shady business.I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy buy a car from this worthless car lot, and that says a lot.Integrity & honesty are two characteristics of a great business, however Madison Motors does not operate in these at all!
This place is a scam, they sold my cousin this car with “low miles” and told her it needed nothing. The car looks like it had say since the year it came out. Everything suspension wise needs to be replaced. It needs 8 control arms. Front and rear sub frame. Struts and mounts. And that’s not even digging into the transmission issue. Do not even go look at this “car lot”Update* she didn’t bring the car to me. Her fault for trusting you guys. Next did you just try to put the blame off on me? There no way you will be in business another 4 years. Your as shady it gets. Admit fault and improve or get out of the business.
Terrible place. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. They will sell you a faulty car without blinking an eye. Super sketchy and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I went through buying a car from them.
I recently purchased a 2013 Cadillac SRX from Madison Motors and Dan. Overall experience has been excellent! Got the car home and had a big puddle under it in my driveway. Went back to tell Dan and I brought his assistant, John, back to my house in Grosse Pointe and he took it to a repair shop and got the problem fixed and haven’t had a problem since. I would and do I highly recommend Madison Motors. Thx!
Very bad business they sold me a car the bad transmission and then they did not change it to me they did not return my money I lost $ 2800😠😡
My hushed went to buy a car from this lot after I warned him of the bad reviews... he then decided he would take the car for a drive, the motor was loud the truck shook and he thought it was gonna die while driving it... when my husband told the car salesman about this he said he would fix the exhaust, my husband then mentioned to them about the bad reviews, to which he responded “you can’t please everyone” at that moment my husband knew to not to buy from here. He went down the road to M&M auto and found a much better priced truck that drove like a dream. Please beware.
I had been out looking for an certain automobile (SUV)for several days with family members, we were on our way home when we passed (Madison Motor Car Sales) and turned around to see their cars; we were approached by Thomas who was extremely friendly and very funny. He was also very helpful and interested in my concerns. I did see an SUV that I liked but (I) decided to come back the next day so that my Grandson could come back with me to check it out (He work on cars). The next day we went back but that SUV was sold, I wasnt upset, its business!!! First come, first served!!! It wasnt for me!!! I met Jason that day and again, he was extremely friendly and professional. I looked over, asking Jason what kind of SUV was that black one; he responded-Chevy Equinox, Beautiful body and runs great; Omg just what I had asked God for 🙏🏾 we test drove it and my Grandson checked it out, it was my car (Sold). Oh yeah, I also dealt with Dan (hes the kind friendly giant) So from me to you all 👈🏿 Thank you Gentlemen for your Professionalism; Thank you too Amy for your kindness when you called my home letting me know that my plate was in ... O cant forget you Johnny, thanks for your assistance and warm conversations. Very Grrrrrreat Experience ... Never felt any pushiness!!!God Works 🙏🏾📖🙏🏾
I bought my van in 2012 from here. My dad had dealt with them over the years and he said they were good people. I had an AMAZING experience!!!! The O2 sensor went the next day I called they fixed it on their dime right away. Im looking at purchasing a new car with cash and interested in a SUV they have now. Everyone there was really nice from the salesmen and the porters!!! Ive sent plenty of friends to them for vehicles!!!!
I am absolutely disgusted in the business practice of Madison Motors.Madison Motors has truly showed me why some people say “never buy a car from a small, dusty, dirty used car facility.”Jason, how dare you lie directly to my face and attempt to lock me into a term and rate I did not agree to.I Nearly went upside down by $15,000 off the lot. It’s a wonder this lot is still in business, or on fox 2 for scamming. Please be aware.I
Perfect example of lipstick on a pig
Madison motor sales is THE MOST AMAZING COMPANY with super kind employees to match Jason was a huge help from flexibility with credit to the amazing advice about which car would be the best fit for me and I would definitely recommend paying them a visit for your your next vehicle 10/10!!!!
Madison Motors is a used car lot with shady salesman and lemons.Madison Motors vehicles are overpriced and overused.Madison Motors employs dishonest salesman.Madison Motors sells cars that are in bad shape.Madison Motors sells vehicles that have been in accidents.Madison Motors is a dealership I 100% would not recommend.
Originally meet with Thomas when I walked in. Him and Jason talked with me about the truck I was interested in. Went home and thought about it. When I returned, they both were helpful. Found a great warranty for me as well. They can move quick, but make sure you are informed about everything.Thank you guys, youre awesome!
Within the first 20 miles the check engine light came on. I will NEVER buy from them again!!!!
My husband and I purchased a journey from here back in may and absolutely love it! I don’t understand all the bad reviews cause our experience was great, we dealt with Dan and he was very helpful, definitely recommend coming here!
They sold me a car for 7000 with a bad motor and trans! The owner was extremely Rude... Worst car purchase I’ve ever done in my life. I highly recommend that you bring an experienced mechanic with you if you decide to buy a car from Madison Motor. I truly don’t understand how this place has been in business so long🤷🏾♂️
Great experience! One small issue with my radio but they took care of it right away, no charge. Im very surprised at the comments about Jason, he was very polite, professional and down to earth, he was not a pushy used car salesman type at all. This is the second car purchased here and I would recommend this company as it was a very good experience.
We purchased what looked to be a nice looking 2008 f150 4x4 at the beginning of December. The weather was nice at that point. I didnt know the 4x4 didnt work until a couple of weeks later and it snowed. The 4x4 had never worked. Then the check engine light came on. The 4x4 - never worked, then the catalytic converter. Been trying to work with them for a few weeks. Had to pay for a truck I bought with 4x4 that the 4x4 didnt work.
This business should be shut down for its shady business practices. They will do/say anything for a sell.Overpriced vehicles, and lying salesman.I have no reason to go to this specific used car lot google review page, then take the time to actually leave a review for a place that I have not purchased a vehicle from. That would be illogical!Check your records.
What a find!!! What a value!!!! Looked high and low for a DECENT car to buy. Hit the jackpot with a 2004 Buick LaSabre Custom. If your looking for a terrific car at an even better price this is your best bet in all of Metro area.
Liars, scam artist, thieves. When you hear if the horror stories of a used car lot, this is the establishment they are referring too.Positive reviews are friends of the owner.Just look how they reply to negative reviews, it clearly shows how awful this place is.
Madison motors changed my opinion about used dealers. Here is why I recommend Madison: 1. No pressure, honest and friendly staff. Dan the owned, Jason in sales and the amazing body man go the extra mile give you information to make a good decision. 2. The body work they do before the sale. I bought a 2006 Town and county and I know where the car typically rusts having had three. They did a professional job making the car look new. 3. CAR FAX available on all their cars. These reports while not perfect can show if the car has had accidents and gives maintenance record. 4. Price was fair. I did not get an amazing deal but it was definitely right at market value . 5. Ease of sale. I had to get a loan to pay for the car and they were more than patient and helpful. In the end when you buy a used car YOU need to do your homework on the car looking at CAR FAX, Edmunds reviews and pricing to make sure your happy. If you dont maintain your own cars take it to your mechanic to make sure you know what youre buying.
My experience with Madison Motors was a good one. I bought my Son an older SUV. Jason was the sales person. Very personable. No pressure. Cant speak for the quality of the vehicle as of yet...but when you buy a Used Car problems are to be expected.
If there was a zero Id select that one. I went in there to buy 2 vehicles with cash and the old guy maybe owner sounded like he was off his medications. He was obnoxious, rude and seemed to be not right somehow. I told him I was there for a cash buy and he started joking around like a 2 year old and I said I was there to buy and wanted a cash deal and not there for games. He just started laughing and said goodbye then. I certainly dont recommend this place and the thing is that I had three other friends that were looking for cash deals too but this guy you cannot trust.
Honestly have to say I had the best experience here...my car completely broke down, I still owed on it and it wasnt worth fixing, I was in a bad spot, having bad credit and needing a car right away for work..I went here and Dan completely helped me out, I told him my situation and I told him I had a grandson battling cancer and needed a safe car to drive because I drive him to treatments often, he helped me get into a nice Jeep that I just LOVE, when I test drove it the brake pads seemed worn so Dan told me I could take it up to Madison auto and tire and he would pay for new pads, I took jeep there to get brake pads and asked them to put new windshield wipers on for me and I would pay for those, when I went to pick up my jeep they told me Dan payed for brake pads and my windshield wipers and he didnt have to, it was such a nice surprise... I know that if I have any problems he will help me, he went above and beyond...Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dan i cant thank you enough!
I had a pleasant experience here, and got a great price for a really nice vehicle. The sales staff (Jason) was very helpful and straightforward, I found this place to be honest and reputable. When I discovered an issue with the trans fluid level, they offered to pay for any repair, since the vehicle was covered by a 30-day powertrain warranty. Luckily the shop filled the fluid at no cost, but it was decent of them to offer it.
Purchase a 2008 trailblazer. Nothing but problems. One day after we purchased it the rack and pinion had to be replaced. When doing rack and pinion we found a bent tie rod end. Then the alarm system was not working properly. Talk to Tom and Jason they both sad the truck was sold as is. I ask if they safety inspect the vehicles. They then blamed another business. After taking the truck to the dealer to repair the alarm system we found out it was a Canadian truck. There were dealer records and we now found out the milage had been changed. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEALER VERY DISHONEST
They are definitely not too be Trusted will never purchase from them again.
This business should be shut down for its illegal business practices. They will do/say anything for a sell.Overpriced vehicles, and lying salesman.
I was thinking of buying a car from here until I seen how the owner responds to customers. Bad customer service skills
Be very careful, read everything before you sign anything.I was told I was signing a 36 month payment term, turned out to be a 51 month term.Almost a $7,000 difference.Paid nearly $20,000 for a car worth about $6,000.I was DECEIVED.Jason (the son of the owner) was my salesman. I bought my car in 2015. Still currently paying on it.I purchased a 2009 Pontiac G6.
The initial impression was good, first sales man was kind, until I got to the test drive. Someone else came to ride with me. Extremely rude. Was talking negatively about me and my girlfriend to someone on the phone, while in the car with me on the test drive. Disrespectful the second I got in the car for the test drive. I asked him if he even wanted me to buy the car with the way he was talking about me... Ended the test drive early and left immediately.
Examine the paint and body very closely!!! Purchased a 2005 Dodge Dakota 1 year ago. It looked great, no rust anywhere, ran great. Had a check engine light come on within a day after bringing it home, took it back and Dan. He was very good about taking care of problems within his 30 day warranty. Within 6 months the rear bumper that had a stone coat on it began to chip, rust started to show up there and at the wheel wells. One year later I had to replace the rear bumper it was riddled with holes and chunks were just falling off. After removing the bumper it was apparent they had filled large and small rust holes with body filler, in some places used cardboard for a backer, then they painted over to hide the problem. All rust that was covered up when I purchased it was now showing up, holes at the wheel wells, door jambs and around the windshield. They did an excellent job hiding and covering up the rust for a quick full price sale. Shame on me for not spending more time on the ground looking for overspray and body filler. I was just offered less than 1/4 what I paid for the truck from a dealer for a trade-in.
Purchased my very first car here. And I loved it! Everyone was helpful, especially Amy!
Staff is extremely rude over the phone. Called about a truck I saw on craigslist, the guy argued about which truck I was talking about until I walked him through finding the truck on craigslist. Then he tells me the truck was sold a few weeks ago.
If I could give no stars, I would. Dishonest about everything. DO NOT buy from them under any circumstances. I dont believe any of the good reviews are legit. Ive spoken to many people that told me to avoid them but unfortunately it was too late.
Literally a shady dealer. My suggestion to anyone trying to buy a car would be go elsewhere. They will scam you outright. Say a car is one price and try to put it in as another in the system for a few thousand more. When asked about the change they will make up excuses and the like about why it was increased such as the Warranty required by the lender or The bank will only sell it at X dollars. The bank does not set the price and if you look carefully you will see the warranty is charged as extra on top of the increase of the car price in another section. They are outright scam artists. Be wary. Do not ever trust them. Like I said, if you can, find somewhere else.
I called at 7 pm on a Thursday evening to ask a common question what does the extended warranty that we purchased through Madison motors cover? Because not even 3 months in on owning the vehicle I started having problems. The website clearly states they are open until 9 pm. A man by the name of Jason answered the phone and seemed real irritated that I was calling before I even started the conversation with him. He then set the phone down and said why the f*** did I even answer the phone! Really thats how you talk to people who just spent $6k on a car from you. He proceeds to say he couldnt answer my questions to call back later he needed to get off the phone. Never again will I do business with this place. Problem with the car the second I drove it off the lot and still dealing with problems on a car not even paid off yet. Then to treat customers like this because they call during normal business hours to ask a question! Terrible! I dont care how bad your credit is take your business elsewhere. They dont appreciate their customers what so ever! Very disappointed. Jason has no business being in customer service. Since he has no idea how to serve customers!
I got approved for financing immediately, and took this lovely Saab out for a spin. Its a great car and super affordable! Plus, John was great.
So far, i cant see why they would ever receive a bad review. My experience was very good and they run circles around Drive Time in Eastpoint. They were friendly, fast, and accommodating. So far im really pleased.
Both my sons bought cars here. The G8s engine light came on 1 day aft spending $15,000. Took it in 2xs Madison didnt honor the original 30 day warranty, instead gave my son a free 6 month warranty. Turned out to be the timing chain. Their was out of pocket expense (400 +). Jason was a complete idiot. Dan finally cut my son a check for the expense, which he should have (reluctantly) he said he didnt want to argue with me. He was wrong. I wouldnt recommend a car from here. Hes lucky I didnt put him on channel 2 hall of shame. Dan told us to lie to the dealer. Bad business practice.
It’s a great experience they don’t blow smoke. Perfect dealership
Dishonest, rude, most vehicles have the check engine light on. Manager told me he would do some things to the vehicle in the next couple days but after purchase was final he never did anything. Make sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave.
Sales rep Jason is rude. He seemed as though he knew he had gotten away with something bad by the end of the sale. Good if you are establishing credit and need a vehicle.Edit: This my first and only experience with a dealership. Something did end up happening to my car, an issue I initially asked about and was not given too much info on. The guys paid to have part of the damage repaired, and I was referred to another company for the remainder of the damage. Great. However, there are multiple reviews here stating the sales staff is rude, and I am a firm believer that if more than one person tells you the same thing, you have a problem on your hands. I am editing this instead of changing it completely. Regardless of intent rude behavior is what it is: rude.
I had the worst experience of my life here! I will start off by saying that I do love my Jeep that I purchased from them. Its the only good thing that came out of my experience at this very poor business. Previously to my Jeep, I was driving a car and needed a new one badly. Upon first entering the business I was greeted, allowed a test drive, and felt pressure free. Unfortunately, I decided to give this poor excuse of a business my money, although their service became very bad! I called the sales person I was working with to arrange a downpayment on the vehicle I was looking to purchase, during this conversation I disclosed to him that I was looking to trade in my then current vehicle, although I still owed on it. He assured me that it was completely okay and that he would take care of it. Also, the representative that he and I were both working with at my bank, too disclosed to him that there was still money owed on the trade in...and he still assured all was well! 2 weeks ago, I gave them a check and got my new vehicle, leaving my old one there. Days went by, and the loan on my old vehicle was still showing on my bank account. I contacted my bank representative that we were working with only to find out that the salesman never gave them the money for the old car as it was assured that it would be taken care of! Needless to say, I had to go back to the dealership, BUY MY OLD CAR BACK FROM THEM, and pay for 2 car loans because this is a poor excuse for a business. I recommend that you NEVER go there, I definitely will NEVER again. The sales representative is now playing stupid, claiming that nobody EVER told him about the money owed on the car. Upon arrival to re-buy my old car, I was greeted very rudely, and the salesman proceeded to blame me for his wrong-doing, and take more money from me than agreed upon. After this, he started yelling at me and my grandmother (who I had to borrow the money from to re-buy my own car) very unprofessionally until we eventually left. Please, do NOT ever consider this place for your next vehicle. They are scammers, and crooks.
I went to look at some trucks, and the dumb hillbilly looked at me and asked who are you looking for?I left, promptly. They did have a decent selection, though.
I went in here and they were so helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you Madison motors for helping me find the right car!!!
Too pushy. Promising needed repairs will happen if you start purchase process. How about repairs get done then contact again when the vehicle is been repaired so it is safe for a test drive? Sorry guess thats too much to ask from a B lot. Keep selling unsafe cars, it will be the end of your shop someday when you get sued by someone.
We bought a 2006 Dodge Durango there in 2010 from Dan. It had 35,000 miles on it. We got a great price on it. We drove that vehicle to El Paso, Texas and back a few times and to San Clemente, California and back a few times to visit family. The vehicle did very well. We just sold it in 2016 with 110,000 miles on it.
Deplorable customer service. The sales person should retire. I witnessed him be disrespectful to multiple customers that Walked in. There was an issue with a Vin number to a car I was inquiring about and he refused to re-confirm the vin on the car. Buyers beware they are known for selling lemons.
I bought a car from them a year ago and couldnt be happier. They accommodated my poor credit .
Bought a Dodge Ram in March Great Truck for a great price!Very Happy Customer
If I can give negative stars I would NEVER AGAIN and wouldnt recommend. Sales person didnt no how to do his job, Owner is rude and nasty. Quick to cut you off and talk over when talking. And whole time trying to justify there wrong doings. Customer service is the worst!!!!!!!!
If I were anyone else, I would stay away from this place. My SO and I came to look at a Ford truck they had for sale. We saw the ad on Craigslist. We had CASH in hand, ready to BUY on the spot. We were minutes away from taking a test drive when he returned to tell us that the truck had been sold BY PHONE with a CREDIT CARD.The next day, my SO returned to Craigslist to see the truck had been REPOSTED with a higher price.I don’t want to make assumptions but it seems they were intimidated by my SO’s knowledge about vehicles as he was pointing out things wrong with the truck before we went to test drive it. It seems they may have been trying to hide something from an informed and educated buyer because they want to be able to make more money, of course, instead of making an honest sale.
They spam their CL ads with a list of all makes and models so their ads populate searches that don’t match what you’re looking for.
Dont buy cars from them they do just enough to them to make them sound Good when you test drive them, brought a 2003 Suburban from them drove it about 200 miles and now it needs, Axle Seals and bearings, u-joint and on top of that the check engine light was on and they told us they repaired it...well all they did was clear it NOT Happy and I wouldnt got there ever again, when I tried to call them out they dont return calls or emails DONT go to them....
I bought 3 cars from dan. They were great vehicles. My credit at the time was not very good. Dan helped me get my car financed. I would deal with madison motors again. Thank you again dan. -Santino DeDonatis
Do they Lie, cheat and steal to sell a car. When they post on buy-owner on Craigslist,it is lying, cheating and misleading.Does anyone want to deal with such a place?
Clearly no one knows whats going on at this business, I had a credit app, was approved and told the salesman I was on my way. I still get mail saying I was approve for a loan. Before you try to justify my rating you should talk to your sales guy, telling me I needed an app and approval to hold the vehicle just shows how wrong I was treated when I in fact had everything needed. Poor business practices.
Cool people, good cars, great experience
Dump, make you fill a credit app and sell the vehicle when you are on your way. Avoid at all cost. poor business practices.
Extremely rude. Horrible customer service.
The people that work at this place are rude and will say aything to sell a car
They wanted to charge $10000 interest on an $8000 car with a1 credit. I would not recommend them to anyone ever
Liars & crooks.
AVOID!!!
