I enjoy going to Jo-Ann Fabrics. They always have some great deals on their fleece and other items. I can spend anywhere from an hour to three hours looking at all of the items that they have that are either on sale or clearance. I will never miss an opportunity buy items that I know I can use and that I like from Jo-anns. Today I took my sister to Jo-Ann Fabrics and she got herself some fleece for my friend to make her a blanket.

This is the closest Joanns to me, but their staff leaves much to be desired. The store is poorly stocked, understaffed, and the people who do work their dont know the products they sell. They used to do a great job of ensuring the employees knew the materials they were selling- you would find hobby seamstresses at the cutting table, for example. Now the only answer youll get is I dont know.

Went in on a Sunday morning at 11am, to find the usual line wrapped around the store. I also noticed huge sections of product missing, but Im going to say that its probably because theyre getting in new/holiday products soon. :)Only one cashier, and she was doing AMAZING! She happily greeted customers as they walked in, was very polite despite the growing number of grumpy customers in line and overall, she was hustling! She had cool pink hair, and I really wanna give her a shout out for having to hold down the front end!

I dropped off my mother from Illinois here while I stopped by Microcenter. Now I have to take her here whenever she visits. She says this is the best JOANN she has ever visited.

All what I need I find and prices are great especially with very often sales . Joan is my favorite store :)

Pretty much the same as any other joanns but I gotta say it was the longest wait to check out Ive been in since the start of quarantine. 2 cashiers and 5 people in front of me.. probably a coupon complaint or something since that seems to be a big part of their strategy. I will say that my cashier was very kind and personable when I did finally get to the checkout.

The fabric and yarn sections for this location is amazing! This trip was for fabric and they have it EVERYWHERE which is outstanding! For anyone who couldnt find the cotton fabric its in the back left corner. The clearance fabric is in the back right corner and ohhh myyy there are aisles of it. Everything else is in the middle between the cut counter and the registers. I also like this location because the employees dont just work there. They know their stuff. Im very new at sewing and had tons of questions and the ladies that helped me never acted annoyed and was able to educate me on everything. I left with so much knowledge and feel more comfortable giving it a try. I come to this location when there are three between my home and this one.

Courteous help at material counter. Nice selection. Fair prices.

Typical Joann store....this particular location needs a complete interior remodel. Very dated and dingy...but they still have the goods!

Store was very unorganized lots of mess and clutter but the staff was very nice and professional

Not a good experience. Not everything was marked so prices were a mystery. Got in line to get fabric cut and stood and waited while staff chatted. I was only customer. 2 other customers then approached and began to wait. They were called before me because they grabbed numbers. I was told to grab a number and wait. Then after waiting, fabric was misfolded, miscut from a prior encounter and not enough for my project because of that hidden mistake. Not recommended.

Come on. I love this place. All my crafts are from here.

Clean shop and great staff but the stores organization can be confusing and there are always a lot of items out of stock (though that may be a 2020-2021 supply chain issue.)

The only complaint I had is their wasnt no one available to help anyone. You have to walk up front as you cashier where something was. But I understand nobody wants to work nowadays its a shame

Not just a fabric store! Yarn selection is pretty good. Prices are okay. There coupons are great when they work with sale items. You can always get it a 40% or 50% off a single regular priced item coupon, sometimes 60%. Clearance prices are too high. Regular prices are kind of high also. Not a bad selection of baking and decorating products. Lots of fun things to buy!

I waited in an hour long line to return something and when i called from the BACK OF THE LINE asking if they had any other employees around, the lady answered and gave me no apology nothing but attitude. i quote “we have three people working today so it’s going to be slow”not the way that should be handled at all. be polite at the very least.dark hair short woman at the front, work on yo sass miss customer service

Lines were too long. Had to wait more than 45 minutes between the fabric cutting line & register line. This reminded me of why I dont come here often!

I placed an online order to be picked up. 2 hours later I came to the store to pick it up. The store was so severely understaffed there was a line down multiple isles, the cashier told me to get in line - even though I had already ordered and paid. I waited in the 30 minute line only to be told they did not have the fabric I ordered. The staff was so overwhelmed and short in communication. They were not apologetic or sincere with their their customer service. The online ordering should be disabled if the store cannot manage to provide that service. I am very disappointed in the stores selection, understaffing and lack of quality customer service.

Had to stand in line 10 min. Need more help when a customer causes the hold up. Not cashiers fault.

Terrible service. No one to ask questions and they act like they didnt want to deal with blacks. When I finally spoke to someone cutting material, she only pointed in the direction of the item that I asked about. She acted as though I had been bugging her all day, when I had only asked one polite question.

This is a place to buy fabrics and crafts.

I like this place and can find my sewing and craft materials. I dislike waiting, waiting, and waiting in line at the material counter and/or the check out counter 10 to 25 minutes. Please hire more help

Those five stars are for employee Fayth. There were a couple of issues with my online order today (like the actual fabric color I ordered was not even close to how it looked on the website), and she went out of her way to take care of the issues with a smile on her face and a great attitude.

The area to get fabric cut is a long line, its to be expected when they are short staffed. Very nice workers, very helpful. They have great sales going on all the time! Depending on what your going for you can pay a lot or get a great deal! Both managers that I have dealt with each time I have gone are amazing! Very helpful, and respectful even though they are very overwhelmed, they still were very nice. Oh and make sure to use coupons and in the app, they will help you out a lot in the end! Happy shopping!

If I were a girl I would maybe give this place 5 starts. Tons of fabrics is every material and pattern you can imagine. I saw Harry Potter and Star Wars fabrics good for sheets and blankets. If I could think of a hobby to get behind I would come here. They have toys and mega art supplies. I could build a bird house or something with wood products and paint it too.

Went to Roseville store found some wonderful fabric for 8:59 a yard had to go to Madison heights store the same fabric was $29 a yard needed seven yards Roseville store ate something Madison heights store for the same fabric was $29 a yard so unfair had to get a yard and a half at Madison heights store at $29 a yard Joanne sucks9

Went there for some crafts that I couldnt find and there was a very long line so I left.

No longer combine Michaels coupon with their on coupons.Thats something separated them from the rest of art and craft stores.

Their curbside pickup service is trash. I paid for a bunch of items I was excited about and half of them were not there when I arrived. Also did not receive any kind of confirmation that my order was ready. This store lacks any kind of professionalism and refused to have my ordered items shipped from another location regardless of the fact that I had already paid for them.

Love the staff here; they are very pleasant and willing to help you find products or give advice when needed.

Places an online order. Took almost 4 days to fill. By the time it was half the fabric ordered was out of stock. Not happy about it. I ordered from this store because after 8 months the fabric Ive been waiting for finally was available. I would have made the drive the day I ordered if I had known they sell it to someone else. :( live and learn

This was not my usual JoAnn Fabrics. The store was very cluttered and there were none to very few sign around the store. The store workers were nice, so that makes the difference.

Good place to get craft stuff but as always understaffed and takes awhile to get checked out.

There weren’t any social distancing regulations, and if there were, they weren’t followed and customers would crowd the cashier area. there would be two separate customer groups at one register. our cashier wasn’t wearing her mask properly as well and kept asking unnecessary questions about the things we were purchasing. i understand wanting to get to know your customers to create a friendly environment, but if you’re gonna talk to them, at least wear a mask that covers your nose to your chin.

Last visit I popped in just before closing and was able grab what I came for and was in and out in less than 10min.

Not sure why they even bother to do an online order/pick up option. 4 days after an order, no news. As soon as we called about it, I got an email saying half of my order was cancelled, even though there were 19 yards still in stock, and was kept on hold for over a half hour with no one getting back to us so we ended up hanging up. I feel like we would have been kept even long if not for the call.

Large selection. HUGE stock of fabrics. I cant for Cricut supplies and was not disappointed!

Didnt have much in stock, the productivity was down. But overall the staff was pleasant.

This store was a mess! It was in a disarray, products were mixed together in a lot of the isles, the floors looked like they havent been mopped in awhile. Most of their prices are great, you just really gotta look hard for what you want.

The lines are long but they move quickly. The staff is always nice.

This store is a useless joke. Ive been waiting outside at the curb for a full half-hour for someone to bring out my curbside order, even though Ive called and they know perfectly well that Im here. As Ive sat here, Ive watched multiple people go in maskless or with it off their nose. When calling initially too, the woman flat-out lied to me and said that orders cant be filled for at least 3 hours after theyre made, which I know is a lie because Ive filled orders at multiple different stores and never had this much trouble before anywhere else. I live over an hour away from this store so I cant just go home and were about to go into lockdown again so I need my mask-making materials now. This is atrocious business practice.

I like Joann fabrics... I wish they just kept their sales in store instead of having to open their app for the adfitionas sales incentives... why not just give it to everyone!!!!

My first time at this Madison Heights location. Beautiful store; super-sized, with an AMAZING inventory! However, the line-up of customers for check-out stretched literally, to the back of the store! There was only one cashier to serve a FULL store. There was a similarly, incredibly long line to wait for fabric cutting, with only one associate. I had to just leave.

OMG if I could give this zero stars I would, the floor in this location was so nasty and dirty, you can tell that havent been mopped for a very long time, I can imagine what kind of germs are floating around.

This is a pretty good Joanns. They have a fully stocked store of all their different departments and the staff works at a pretty even pace. Theyre very friendly too. I practically live at Joanns and the only thing that throws me off at this location is the weird layout for the fabric department. Its like a maze, so if you never been here before it might throw you off at first.

They had exactly what my wife was looking for, at a good discount.

Always great coupons

As all of the recent reviews state, do not expect to receive anything you order for curbside or in-store pickup for days. I placed an order this morning before they opened (made sure everything was in stock, so I would get it that day), and by 5pm I thought that I just must have missed the “your order is ready” email and headed to the store. After waiting in a line of about 30 people with one cashier helping literally everyone in the store, I was told that I was not mistaken about not receiving the email, and that it would not be ready for a few days. I went to the frame department to make sure they had what I ordered in stock still. THEY SOLD HALF THE IN STOCK FRAMES I had purchased that morning in the store rather than fulfilling my order that I already paid for. Had I known the store was open and that they have the worst in-store/curbside arrangement out of any store I would have gone elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle and go to Michael’s.

This store sucks. I have called for two weeks trying to pick up my purchase (as instructed), and I can’t get anybody to answer the phone when I get there. It rings and then hangs up. Joann’s needs to pull it together and follow through with what they say they are going to do. Why are there not negative stars to give? I’d like to give them 5 black holes instead of one star.

This store has a pretty good selection, but it seems to be very understaffed. Every time Ive been there, theres been only one or two people working the cash registers and a huge line of people wrapped around the store waiting to check out. I will probably not be going to this location anymore.

Plenty of sales help available and many cash registers open. Social distancing practiced and enforced.

Good shopping experience as long as you dont mind long lines.

Busy busy busy, hard to find associates to assist you

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. 30 minute lines for fabric AND checkout ant the cashiers were wearing their masks incorrectly And they were wearing the same dirty gloves to ring everyone up. Which protects no one and is just some inept show of Covid compliance. At that point, it’s not even about customer service, it’s about safety. Keeping people in your store for 60 minutes with sub par social distancing practices is ridiculous.

I made my order online and immediately got an email to not go to the store to pick up curbside until I got another email. I checked everyday for two weeks. Then got an email the order was canceled. Then got a voicemail message on my lanline I had until 6pm that same day to pick it up or the order would be cancelled by the next morning. This is crazy!!!

Sometimes theres a long wait to get your fabric cut. Otherwise there are no other complaints.
