Very poor experience today!! I went there to pick up a costume I had saw on their website. The employees were extremely rude during the transaction. I noticed when I got home that I was charged $10 over the listed price. I called the location to ask what happened and of course I was hung up on twice! The third time calling I was finally able to speak to someone they told me I had untill today to return the costume. Needles to say I returned it and this shady business will never see me inside of it again. Ive got photos of all the evidence. I will be emailing cooperate.

Poor experience!! Bought some halloween item for $20 and we found it was so damaged and cannot be used properly when we returned home. And the security tag was not removed! No one warned us about the damage while we are checking out and it should be so obvious to the store staff now they don’t accept returns of halloween items🙃🙃🙃THAT’S A TOTAL WASTE OF $20!!

Great selection of greeting cards. I found the perfect Retirement card. Check out was very slow but the cashiers and manager did apologize.

Ordered balloons not inflated. The staff inflated by mistake. Told me I wouldn’t be charged for the inflation and that the helium would last 24hours so I agreed to taking them even though I did not want them inflated. My sister picked up the balloons and she was charged $50 for inflating the balloons. The balloons in less than 24hrs deflated and I wasn’t able to use them. One clearly had a hole in it. Customer service wouldn’t help us at all. Awful.

Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. We went with a bouquet and got a great deal. Balloons lasted 72 hours and this photo was taken on day 3! Got other supplies relating to a “golden” birthday !

Terrible customer service. I needed 2 balloons to be purchased and they told me I would have to wait for 3 hours. Like come on now. Smh. No one greeted me, no one asked if I found everything okay. The cashiers were not customer friendly. I probably wont ever shop there again.

Stood in line for around 30 minutes because every cashier was doing balloon orders. Not the cashiers faults but it needs to be a separate station just for balloons so people buying other things can cash out in a timely manner.

Poor slow service. Hours are ridiculous, I was literally in line three times as long as I was able to shop. I cannot believe that this store closes at 6 pm. So much for stopping on my way home from work, now I have to go back tomorrow morning wasting my time. Its not that its getting cleaned when its closed because its dirty.

You have got to be kidding me what party place closes at 6pm on a Friday Saturday and Sunday. Most people work till 5pm. Thats fine I can go take my business elsewhere 😌

The process of getting balloons is a bit convoluted but they have a nice variety. Momma loved her balloons, sash and back drop.

We went into this party city to find decorations for my sons birthday party.We asked a simple question as to if they had a kit for the theme we are doing and they lady was EXTREMELY RUDE to us. As she said no and WALKED AWAY from us while talking with an attitude she was telling us we had to go to the girls section and put it together ourselves. (That is perfectly fine) but I am not going to shop somewhere that the customer service is rude. No thanks!

Slow but nice, lots of selections of balloons.

They helped me find a pack of balloons to replace the balloon that was all out. I got a bouquet of balloons for $18 and free fill up!

Incredibly rude staff, it’s astounding to hear someone bluntly call you crazy for simply requesting a proper receipt. Disrespectful when all the customers around are being polite and patient when their systems are down. You cannot just tell them to call the 1-800 number to solve the problem when you as a staff manager should fix it yourself or kindly explain the issue to the customer. We cannot read your mind, be kind.

Didnt have what I wanted and guy behind register looked bored even answering my questions and its never been like that. They r always friendly

I visited the store two weeks ago to pick up some balloons and Yazmin was extremely helpful and informative. She went above and beyond to help me with my order and assisted me getting all my balloons in a balloon bag when she saw me struggling. I appreciate the great customer service!

Staff was not very helpful. Attitude was given when we asked for a specific balloon, if the member could check another box behind the counter, as everything was mixed up and lacked organization.Main store was fine, but Halloween decorations and costume prop area were poorly put together/organized.Will venture to a futher location before coming back to this store...

The store look pretty picked over for Easter but we were able to find everything we needed and some extra that we didnt. :-)

I always loved party city because they are very organized. Staff is friendly.

They don’t have skilled employee at this store .they don’t even know how to inflate a balloon...they took 45 mins to inflate a single halogen balloon which got deflated within 15 mins.

The ladies were very helpful, even though I didnt agree with being charged an additional $1.19 per balloon after buying the pre-packaged balloon.Id never heard of that much of an upcharge.

I ordered balloons online to do get curbside pick up at the store. I called to ask a few questions and they were friendly and helpful. When I picked up my balloons they were on time and bagged up so they wouldn’t float around my car. Great experience with them! Thanks again!

So I usually only visit if Im looking for something very specific because to be honest this place is overpriced. The selection is amazing but after my visit today I dont think Ill return to this location.I was asked when I first arrived if I needed help finding anything by someone who seemed to be a manager and at the time I didnt. As time went on I found the tablecloth I needed, the Harry Potter Lego set on clearance I didnt know I needed.Now I remembered what I needed to find, a balloon set for an auto fill system. After trying to find them on my own with no success I asked someone stocking shelves if they had this specific item and her answer was a flat all balloons are in aisle whatever. No eye contact, no care given. If you hate your job find another one dont take it out on me. Take pride in your job even if you dont love it, that says more about you than what you think of your job.

They usually have what I want. Thats about the biggest compliment Im giving this location. Incomplete orders. Had a curbside pickup and was told you can come in now, even though I was in a hurry and made it known this was a pickup. Hard to find help in the store.To be fair, and the only reason the score isnt lower, the last time I went in there was a manager walking by the front door and lead us to what we needed. I was very thankful but this was rare out of multiple trips and purchases for parties, birthdays and graduations.

The employess are lazy and will lie to you about not having costumes so they dont have to go to the back and look through boxes. You get paid to do a job so do it. I found out that they had the costumes they lied about not having from thier online store. When I called them to ask about it, guess what?! They had them!Now I have to waste gas and drive all the way back to get them. Poor customer service they dont even deserve min wage!

Curtious staff, rushed an order that placed 20 minutes before pickup. Staff was calm and cool with a customer who brought the wrong item.

The Madison heights Michigan staff were very uninterested in helping me find my specific needs in their store. When I called to see if the website was correct about the stock of their gender reveal balloons they transferred me 3 times. Each one not knowing what I called about. Obviously they didnt look for the item or were they even interested in helping me.

Shopping for led string lights - no luck in 3 other stores. Party city had a pretty good selection.

The halloween costume that I want was out of stock. The lady who assisted me seems not very eager to help me out. Has an attitude. When I entered most of the employees seems tired and having a rough day. I wont be back in this branch.

Went in looking for a specific item & to price another item & be able to read the box of one of the items I am interested in to get more information that a picture wont give. Bought the specific item I was looking for & will buy the other item I price checked in the future. Over all great store for many different party needs and prices are pretty reasonable.

The store itself is pretty clean, organized, and well-stocked. However every time I’ve been to this location it seems understaffed, and the staff that is there always seems super grumpy (especially considering this is a store for parties and fun things, yikes). They make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by making basic inquiries, or even by simply checking out / picking up an online order. ☹️

I went to the store to pick up a Halloween costume for my son and it was the most unorganized and dirty store I have ever been in, with the most unprofessional employees working in that store. They were yelling at each other in front of the customers being rude to the customers. I will never ever go back to this store

This is a BIG store and they seem to have everything. Did you know they have greeting cards for $1? Candy, favors, costumes ... everything you can think of and a lot you have yet to discover., The staff is really helpful and friendly. You dont have to wait for Halloween or a birthday to go in there. Make today a party if you need an excuse!

Love this place. The employees are super friendly and helpful, just ask! They have anything you could ever possibly need for whatever theme party you are having.It may have been user error, but I had trouble getting balloons home without popping 2 or 3. However, I bought a Mylar balloon for my husband for his birthday and two months later, its still alive, so thats something!

Rude and very disorganized. I ended up putting my selection back. The cashiers at the Madison Heights location were completely uninterested in helping any customer and the store was such a mess, nobody knew where to get in line to pay.

Terrible costumes that are way overpriced! The costumes and accessories look great online/on the package covers but when you try them on they are truly horrible! The prices are outrageous! $12 for a small fake beard, $50 for a clearly used dirty superhero jumpsuit. Also terrible customer service, I called ahead to inquire about a costume, they told me they had it in the standard adult size so I put it on hold. Lo and behold when I got there it took them forever to find the costume even after I gave them the name it was under and the costume number. Then when they finally found it I was informed that they did not have the size I had requested and been promised, instead they only had the plus size which is for obsese men. I told them it would be too big on me but they kept insisting I try it on. Their fitting rooms are nothing more than a few small plastic booths with curtains with a small mirror inside and no hooks to hang up your clothes or the costume. Also, it was crazy busy but for some reason they only had 3 cash registers open which meant a HUGE line of customers waiting to pay for their items. TERRIBLE PLACE! Will NOT be coming back!

Mmmph, sometimes just a necessary evil. Enormous and messy, overpriced, poorly stocked, disinterested associates and insanely bright overheads...just a jarring irritating experience. Serves a purpose in a pinch, but if that atmosphere isnt your thing, go in w a plan and try to be hyper efficient.

Came in here the other day to get some balloons for my grandparents’ 50th anniversary the next day. The lady who helped me out had an attitude and made it seem like I was bothering her. She also didn’t fill up my Mylar balloon very much. Came back later on in the evening to show the staff how much the balloon had already deflated from earlier in the day and the staff was much kinder and got me some brand new balloons for free for my inconvenience, and they were much more inflated. They even got me the color of latex balloon I was looking for that the previous employee told me they were “probably” out of and didn’t care to look for me. Seems like that except for that one employee, the staff is fantastic!

Really rude staff.

This place has the rudest unhelpful employees I have ever encountered.I called twice to get help ordering helium balloons online, both times the employee was rude and in a hurry to get off the phone, so I came inside I asked someone who is filling up the balloons if I had to order at the register she said yes, I stood in a long line to get to the register the cashier told me I had to pick the balloons out that I wanted, I went back and picked out the balloons, then she told me I had to go back and pick out the amount that I wanted, I was so frustrated by then I just left and I went somewhere else.

Have to many workers playing around, trying to get help and all i hear in the back are people laughing and cussing up a storm while your customers are all in the line waiting to get taken care of.Need to get it together!

Its a store, you can have any type of party, out of. Most of it is made in another country. Balloons are in great selection here though so be sure to look at them.
