Don’t shop here !!! Just to tell u 3 weeks till my wedding after trying to find the right place to shop for diamond my friend recommended Jared jewlery so I went to find a wedding band last minute, as I’m looking for bands linda yells at me for taking pictures for the diamond on my fingers knowing wasn’t even taking a photo of the show case as I was embarrassed and told her she didn’t have to embarrass me in front of customers like that and presented the photo to the manager which only showed the band after manager tried to apologize and make it seem like she was doing her job. First time in Jared and my last time as well I we’ll contact the cooperation as well after this experience.
Ok selection, but the service...not good at all. Sales associate waiting on us had such an attitude- tone and expression (even w a mask!)- when I asked some basic questions. It was so much so, my daughter noticed and said something to me when we left. If wed had more time, Id have driven across town another 30-45 minutes just out of principle.
Its dont need a ones star...I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATED!We was looking for a ring for me for my Christmas gifts on the day before Christmas eve so I pick one on Jareds.com i found one that like but because it was not in store, only on line & women show me one like that ring and because I didnt like it she did wont to sale me no other ring & he would of payed more if I found something i like..I never walk out of a jewelry store wont to cry because she would not try to sale me other rings! 12/ 2020 😭
Long story short the customer service is horrible and the jeweler apparently doesnt know what they are doing! Went to have my ring adjusted to go up .25 in size and was then told in front of several other customers that they couldnt register my diamond as if to say it was a fake! I left feeling uneasy and embarrassed and decided to go across the street to Kay Jewelers for a second opinion and the salesperson tested the diamond, viewed it under a scope and even found the diamond registered in the system! I felt so relieved and decided to give them my future business instead of Jared. I will be contacting the company as well because this is unacceptable. I left feeling as if my age and race played a factor in their decision to not take my business and also try and publicly embarrass me.
Went here in construction clothes from work to purchase gift for my wife. Said I wanted to spend somewhere in $300-$500 range.the young lady sent me to 1 small area with about 10 items and said thats all they had and even recommended me to go to another store not jared .Upon further looking I seen other areas of the store with stuff in that range and lots online. I felt belittled and I was treated like I was not there to make a purchase which I have made several here before. So I took my business elsewhere.
BEWARE JAMES ALLEN CUSTOMERS: After a year, they wont honor the agreement that James Allen says they have with them for free prong tightening. FYI: Signet (the parent company for Jared) bought James Allen (JA) in 2017. So they are sister stores. When I called the Madison Heights Jared to ask about services, she was very adamant and dismissive that they dont offer free ring prong tightening. I called James Allen later to reconfirm what I had been told by a rep. This James Allen customer rep asked her supervisor and they confirmed it was true. I had them call that location. My mistake was that I didnt ask who they spoke to at the Jared location. Because the next day when I went to Jared, I got the same brash rep and she dismissed that conversation. Her name is Dorma and she said, I wasnt here yesterday. I dont know who they talked to. And apparently she didnt care because she didnt ask who may have spoken to JA the previous day. I could tell she seemed to have an issue w/James Allen, but she did not want to say anything disparaging about the sister company. But her attitude spoke volumes. She started getting loud with me and the other reps starting looking over at us. She told me she doesnt get her prongs tightened on the ring shes had for 3 years. Thats YOUR choice, not mine. Apparently shes been working at this location over a decade, so Im sure she thinks she can’t be challenged. If Jared just honored what JAs website said, the company would probably get return customers for other pieces of jewelry. Unfortunately, because James Allen only uses Jared, so I am limited in my choices for service. I still needed a stone put back in and they will inspect the ring for loose stones, but I wont be back. She even dismissed checking my prongs for another new ring I purchased less than 6 months ago even though she would still consider it under the JA warranty. Ill go out of my way to go to the Utica store and not for purchases. Dorma was domineering and it was her way or no way. When my husband picked up my ring, it was a bad experience again. AWFUL, AWFUL service from top to bottom. I called the store to add my husbands name as an authorized person to pick up my repaired ring. Apparently people that work there dont communicate with each other. And they claimed no one called and then someone eventually mentioned my husbands name because they spoke to me earlier that day. He was also there for 30 minutes because they were having system issues. What kind of customer service is that for someone whos spent thousands on rings? I wont purchase anything there!! Never again, Jared!!! DORMA is absolutely astonishing. She had the best knowledge of any diamond worker across numerous stores and was tremendously kind and courteous. Dorma helped me through the entire process and was helpful throughout the entire visit. PLEASE go see Dorma at this location if you intend on buying anything special.

Exceptional Customer Service from Katie and staff at Jared. Katie went above and beyond regarding an issue I had with a piece of jewelry. Warm caring staff, felt very satisfied with the visit and placed another order before my Husband and I left. Will return to this location, have continued to shop here for years and once again they proved to me why! :)
The worst jewelry store ever!❗️When I took my loose diamond to be placed on a white gold band I already had they said it needed a new prong head, so I was charged for new prongs and took two weeks which I could understand during COVID. I come to find out now after finally giving my fiancée her ring her jeweler freind seen the ring and told her that the loose diamond was not secured on the prongs correctly, and the diamond coulda fall out at any moment. I went to a near by jewelry store and they fixed it for me in 30 minutes and told me that who ever did this at Jared’s were rookies and did not care. I did not bother calling Jared’s in Madison heights about this problem because I knew the manager will definitely get defensive like she did my first time going to Jared’s in Madison over simple questions I had for her. She cannot be asked more then one question without becoming frustrated and giving you a attitude.
Great experience at Jared. Customer service provided by Merlina and Linda was excellent. The knowledge provided helped me make frel comfortable about my purchasing decisions. I shall return.
We stopped in to get a ring resized and look to exchange a bracelet. We were told they were taking appointments and limited walk-ins. A female employee asked us what we were there for. Once we told her, her response was we would have to come back in an hour. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, that same employee was walking outside lighting a cigarette. I guess if we were planning a larger purchase, we would have worthy enough of her time.
Do not go here!! Absolutely the worst possible customer service the women working today - I didn’t get her name - was beyond condescending and unhelpful. I made an appointment to come in and drove an hour to get my ring resized here. I purchased the resize package with it, but she refused to resize my ring or properly measure my ring size. What a shame of a jewelry shop! I will NEVER be shopping at Jared again. There are a million stores I can go to spend my money.
The customer service I receive with every visit always exceeds my expectations. The staff is very knowledgeable and more importantly will treat you like family.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You don’t often find knowledgeable staff in chain/franchise jewelry stores, but the employees at this Jared location are well-educated and experienced. I only really shop for Pandora jewelry here (I like Pandora bracelets because they come in large sizes and actually fit my wrists) so whenever I stop into this location to check out a new style, I have them clean my rings as well even though they weren’t purchased there - they’re always happy to help with anything!Even the security guard always has a smile on his face!
Everyone is super-great at this location! I wish I knew all names to list. Dorma and Michael has taken excellent care of me and my family during every visit this year. Im always informed and invited to upcoming in-store events. All team members look after my best interest and what really looks good rather than just sell me anything - I absolutely love this type of service! Once they get your money they literally treat like dirt i spent $5k. they lied about an up coming sale to get me to pay full price then wouldnt make up the difference. This is no lie 31 days later because it was 1 day after the 30 day return policy:( kind of sickening but Im still blessed and healthy so the good with the bad I guess. Definitely do not buy from the older skinny lady she lies right to your face and so does the older heavy set lady they really need a sale bad so will tell u anything
Today I had called to Inquire about purchasing jewelry. I was told they are taking appointments ONLY. The lady I spoke with said she only had a slot open for 530, so I took it. I arrive a few min early and sign in and notice that there are signs saying walkins are welcome. I waited in the Scorching hot lobby for 35 mins when a man finally came out and took a walk in and when the other lady asked if an appt trumps walk-in in the man said NO and that her and the other lady would be NEXT.. not the person who called and made an appointment to buy 4-5 pieces of jewelry and discussed a time. So thanks, Jarad. You wasted my time But made me realize that not just any business deserves your hard earned dollars!
DO NOT BUY AT THIS LOCATION. This store TRICKED me into getting a sale. On the initial visit with my girlfriend we went to look at rings she picked the top rings that she liked. We then worked out a reasonable price for the ring and I was quoted that price. Upon my return to the store to put my down payment on the item in question Dorma would not honor the price that was quoted. When I asked for the sales consultant that I originally worked with I was informed she was off work that day and they didnt want to disturb her. During my next visit the sales consultant that worked with me and my girlfriend was present. I informed her of what was going on and how I felt that it wasnt fair for me to pay the full price for the ring when that wasnt the price she quoted me. She then reworked the numbers and it came out to the price that was originally discussed. I was happy with that, however during my very next visit the following month the price went back to the one that we didnt agree upon and no one knew what I was talking when I raised concerns about the price discrepancy. DO NOT BUY AT THIS LOCATION.
I came here with my (now) husband to get wedding bands. It’s the second time around for both of us and we are a bit non-traditional. The sales associate who worked with us was extremely helpful and low pressure. She let me spend all the time I needed debating and looking at options before a decision was made. The ring I picked needed to be sized and she made sure it was done for us same day. This store has a wonderful selection of beautiful high quality jewelry.
My husband ordered a necklace for a Christmas Present, and a confirmation email never arrived. He called the Jared and asked if the necklace had arrived, and was met with its not here, and if you didnt receive an email, we dont have it.Few hours later the email came, with the original confirmation and the pick up time, and my husband rushed to Jared to finally pick it up.At 7 pm he got to the store and the security guard told him they are closed, but their door and website says 9 pm. So the manager came out and said that some stores close at 9 pm and some close at 7 pm ?How does that even make sense ?And to come back tomorrow because they cant do anything for him.Definitely wont be coming back here again, not worth the stress.
Went twice to this location to choose rings to tell my boyfriend to look at. Both times I was met by staff that couldnt be bothered. My boyfriend wants to spend upwards of 10,000 dollars and I told him to go elsewhere. I couldnt even decide what shape of diamond I wanted because not only would the sales woman not put different shaped diamonds in the setting I liked but she wouldnt let myself and my mother hold the ring. If they work on commission good luck.

Rude... I bought my husband a diamond bracelet online from Jared. It was a bit too big so I went to Jared to have a couple links taken out. Literally I am stopped at the door by a very rude lady, who asks what I need. When I tell her, she says it cannot be done by Jared because its not one of their pieces of jewelry. She hadnt even looked at it! I correct her nicely and let her know it is a Jared piece. She takes it off my husband and asks me for my receipt showing it came from Jared. I bought it with my Jared account and let her know that, and I have my Jared card. She then tells me she is really sorry, they dont have the tools to take a link from the bracelet.Really...unbelievable. She just didnt want to bother with it and tried every possible way to get out of helping us. I never even made it off the entrance door carpet.Unfortunately I had to take it, and pay, a separate jeweler to have the links taken out. We were made to feel uncomfortable at Jared. We felt like we were not welcome there and rushed away.I actually really love Jared, but this is the closest one to us, and we will not be returning.

My brother and I have been getting ready for his proposal to his girlfriend and Jared completely ruined it. He goes to pay for and pick up the ring and they email HER a picture of the ring saying “Thanks for your purchase”. When he asked could someone there send an email saying something along the lines of “Oops there was a glitch” or “We sent you someone else’s confirmation”, the older women at this location told him no. For a company who makes most of their money off of couples, I would expect them to be a little more helpful in this type of situation.
As soon as I walked in, someone came snd assisted me. The store was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a awesome experience in the store. The staff was well informed and knowledgeable about everything. I will definitely be returning.
Bought charms and received a free one, but you have to buy 100.00 or more to get the deal. Customer service is always the best at Jared. I would recommend everyone to visit the store or the website.

This place is incredibly unprofessional. My fiancée and I went in to have my engagement ring resized and possibly reset tonight. The woman looked sketched out the second we asked if we could have something resized that we didn’t buy there. She took it back, and looked under the microscope for one minute, came back and told us the ring didn’t test for white sapphire and diamond. I asked what it did test for and she couldn’t tell us but that it was probably cubic zirconia. My fiancé spent thousands of dollars on a handmade custom ring, and this woman blatantly lied to us. We immediately went to my regular jeweler for a second opinion, and he reassured us it was in fact genuine and even tested each diamond on the band in front of us to put our minds at ease. He is now completely remaking the ring for me in white gold and happy to take our business
The staff at the 14 mile rd location was friendly & not pushy . They answered all of our questions & cleaned our jewelry. I purchased the Leo round .75 tcw diamond earrings in December 2014 for my girlfriend. They are crazy-sparkly even in low light, and she absolutely loves them. Spent over $2k on my wife’s engagement/wedding band.Diamond chipped and almost fell out after 8 months.Told us it wasn’t covered because we didn’t come in every 6 months to get it “touched up”? Even paid extra for extra protection. Guess that was a scam.As-if anything you would’ve done would prevent the stone from cracking.Guess it was just a lemon.

Wife waited over a month for a replacement diamond only to find out they gave her a square diamond when the original was a circle. Now she has to wait another 2 months and who knows how else theyre gonna mess it up!!!! DONT SHOP HERE!!! I regret doing business with Jared!!!
After purchasing an engagement ring, we were excited over the knowledge they give while looking. Than after the ring arrived, the horrors and stress began, diamond was crooked in the setting, the prongs, which we payed more for, were all dented and scratched. Took it back to be fixed, and acted like we were a burden. Drove 2 hours to return it, said it would be done while we wait. We left to go do other errands, they said they would call when it was ready. Call never came, had to drive two hours back home, When returning two weeks later, one of the prongs was still damaged. In the meantime the payment statement arrives, and the monthly price was almost double. Had to deal with customer service to straighten that out..... Ugh!!!! Were told the price was more because we returned the ring and changed it??? Wow! What a disturbing experience to a purchase and time that is a milestone in a young mans life........ he has memories alright. Never, ever going back and I have never said that about a place as I understand having bad days. This wasnt a bad day, it was a train wreck!

This store has what can be considered the worst customer service I have ever seen. My now husband purchased an engagement ring at Kays and a wedding ring at this Jared. At the time of the purchase, the service plan covered BOTH rings, as long as you had them fused by Jared, which we did. Apparently this is no longer offered, and now EVERY time we visit this Jared, we experience a lengthy debate followed by management calling corporate and corporate saying, yes they have a grandfathered plan.We are assured they put a note in our account each time we have this battle. We now are getting a signed piece of paper from management but it wont matter; my husband is having the battle as I type this review with the same manager I dealt with literally 1 month ago (Katie). If we want to take advantage of our service plan, we expect an hour-long engagement to ensue before we can receive our paid service. Is this some sort of way to attempt to weasel out of their service plans? Horrible, horrible, evil establishment.

I was on the phone with fiance who was ordering it online from the Jared website (she had been in earlier, while I was unavailable, and they didnt carry the one she saw online), but needed me to find out my ring size. I asked for help with that and the guy asked me in a very condescending tone with a smirk Youre just in for a ring sizing and gonna go to Kay to order it cheaper, huh?That wasnt the plan. But I ended up calling fiance to cancel because I dont want my ring from people who make snide remarks like that.If youre going to spend your money on jewelry, go to a place where salespeople wont pre-judge your wallet by your skin tone, clothes, etc.
