We didnt come here for the books, just checked out the Badger gear. It was full of students. They have a good selection of things, cheaper items too. Fast checkout and friendly service. Bring your masks if you plan to pop in.

Im not a Wisconsin fan, but I enjoy walking around other schools campuses and browsing their selection of apparel and gifts when I happen to be visiting a new place. This branch of the bookstore seemed great! So much to choose from, they have an excellent selection. And dang, that badger is so cute!

Dont wast your time at Madison store and come here. They have a very good selection of Madison gear. Had good deals too!

Wonderful and very interesting store. The lady cashiers were helpful and easy to speak to. Large selection of different colored clothes and Wisconsin ties. My mom bought I a Japanese Bucky t-shirt and a beautiful black Wisconsin hoodie. The store has changed since my last visit. They added two try on rooms and expanded checkout counters

University book store @ Madison was one of the hi lites of my tip to Wisconsin. Staff was pleasant, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Prices were a little higher than average

Hadnt been inside since the remodel. It has a nice layout, but still feels kind of cramped. It would be nice if they could find a way to expand further so the store felt even more open.

More crowded than I would have cared for and I would have liked to see more merchandise that is associated with a specific academic department. The clerk also did not tell me the cost of my latest purchases and gave me the wrong receipt, had to go back and ask for the right one.

Only two qualms are some items have a hefty price, and I was looking for a zip up sweatshirt, and after asking the employees, they didnt know where to find it. Other than that a great place for all Wisconsin apparel!

I cant tell you enough how amazing and miraculous this trip to the University bookstore was. Right when you walk in, you instantly see the vast variety and potential this store has. If you are looking for something specific, this store has it. From notebooks to foam fist that can hold your adult drinks. Wink. Any school supplies you need during your times of trouble, its right there. The clothes they sell are truly amazing and smell very nice. They smell like theyre brand new. And the store itself is ginormous. and if youre hungry, you can stop underneath the store for some Subway, eat fresh. if you ever going on a trip to Madison, I would highly recommend making this place your first, second and last stop. Im truly glad I went to the store and cant wait to go back.

Staff helpful and efficient, big selection of variety of items, including school supplies, electronics, Badger clothing, Badger-themed gifts, and, of course, textbooks. My only complaint - its pricey so may want to purchase certain supplies elsewhere. I have to say I wish necessary items needed for college, like textbooks, could be less expensive.

Superb selection of Badger apparel, but prices are on the high side. Definitely recommend scrounging around for coupons or waiting for a sale to make the final purchase price more wallet friendly. The staff here is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get...my interactions with the staff have ranged from disinterested to personable. Appreciate the addition of a coffee stand.

If youre a student looking for books, youre better off going elsewhere because this place is grossly overpriced. Online will save you a lot of money. The store itself is cool for souvenirs and stuff though. Lots of different spirit wear and school supplies.

I love the University Book Store. They have lots of badger gear and cute gift items. The priced are a little high, but the items seem to be good quality. There also a Subway sandwich shop downstairs.

This is a private company that the University collaborated with. Their books are insanely overpriced. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for cheaper rentals and purchases of books. Dont let them fool you when they say they but books back. Theyll give you $40 for a brand new $200 textbook and $5 for a $50 one.

One of the best places to find anything on campus

Store is on the upper level and the elevator is hard to use. Also the store doors have an assist but are not wheelchair friendly as they require that you pull the door open. Great selection of items however.

The book store is fairly large and has a nice variety of items, from clothing to Madison souvenirs and other items that arent necessarily UW themed. Four stars instead of five because while its a decent store, theres nothing special or exceptional about it.

It is neat to visit, but the layout is a little difficult to navigate in order to find what you want. As one would hope, there is a good selection. There are better places to purchase Badger clothing however, in my opinion, in Madison.

I went to the Hilldal e location & they were so helpful. I ended up going to the downtown to pick up what I needed. All went well and I am happy!

I am a collector of fine pens, and University Bookstore used to have the best selection in Madison. Unfortunately theyve succumed to a combination of more people shopping online and fewer people enjoying the pleasure of fine writing instruments.This is not limited to pens, however, as the same issue applies to its selection of books. While I do continue to occasionally stop in, I feel that the name could easily be changed to University Clothes Store.

Always a good feeling to return to my alma matter and to stroll around inside UW Madison bookstore. I always get i want here and the staff is nice. I have to admit that prices on some items are ridiculously priced like a hat for $40, it is just a hat despite the brand on it. Anyway i like coming here

Make sure to check online for textbook prices before buying a textbook here. Its often a place where students go for textbooks as well as stationary supplies and various Wisconsin wear. It has some electronics supplies, but the electronics section was moved to its own store (which quickly closed within 2-3 years of it being opened where the now 7-Eleven stands) and thus doesnt have much variety when it comes to electronic needs. If it did still have its own dedicated electronics staff as it once did, I would give it 5 stars.

Incredibly overpriced books and often rude staff. Although it is affiliated with the university, do not think that this will be a good value or have your interests as a student in mind. I only rate it two stars for the occasional employee that is incredibly helpful and friendly. Also, be aware you cannot bring backpacks into the actual bookstore in the basement, you will be forced to put it in a locker.

Convenient bookstore but extremely expensive. The giant Ron Dayne bobblehead is an outstanding attraction but you can buy most art and school supplies cheaper elsewhere.

As a millennial books are not really hip but I needed a book at the last minute and this place happened to have it when their competitors didn’t. Thank you .

I wanted a note book. They had plenty of notebooks. I was in and out in a few minutes.

We usually go in for the convenience of dropping off prepaid UPS packages. Although they arent making a sale from it everyone is so cheerful and willing to help!

The university book store is more than just a book store! They have everything from apparel to water bottles to posters and more. Of course, if you need a textbook for a course, this is the place to go!

I was touring the university in Madison, and I recieved a coupon for participating in the tour. Anyway, this store is awesome! The staff are very helpful, and they have a great selection of merchandise.

The Onalaska Culvers its amazing. The manager is fun and runs a delicious Culvers with extraordinary service. Every employee goes above and beyond.

I would say its a very typical bookstore but the place could use some more organization. It felt very confusing walking around the aisles, not entirely because everything was RED! lol but because, the place was structured weird and clothing were organized in a confusing manner, at least to me. Prices are obviously high, its a university bookstore! But good selection of stuff.
