I had the worst experience with this dealership trying to trade my 2013 Volvo S60 in. The sales manager, Derek, was shockingly unprofessional, rude, and arrogant. Having recently bought a truck, I was hoping just to get an even trade for my old vehicle, but he refused to make up the $100 difference between what I owed and what he offered (and even then, the KBB value was greater than either of those). He had the nerve to explain all of the costs associated with taking in a trade when all I was asking for was an additional $100. I explained that I had it in for a $125 oil change less than a month earlier, and he still wouldn’t budge. I can’t believe the disrespect this man had for a client over $100. Being a huge international dealership and factoring in the margins they make on service and used vehicles, I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. I hope this honest review is worth the $100, Derek.

I used the free concierge service for regular maintenance on my 2019 XC60 R-Design. They arrived on time and brought my car back earlier than expected, which was great. The time it takes to get vehicle in four service is abysmal. First it was 6 weeks, then, Chris when back to the service manager and came back with 3 weeks….just to replace a set of tires! “We are down a service tech,” is the excuse I have been given the last three times I have had the car in for service (warranty, recall, scheduled). Really disappointing.
Adam, our Field Service Adviser, was beyond outstanding and hopefully will be featured as an example of the very best in service. Adam kept me informed of progress and timeline of the service being performed on my car. He was quick to respond to messages, volunteered important updates without having to ask. At the end of the service, I had an important appointment and couldnt make it back to the dealership. Adam drive my car 20 miles to my rural home on a Friday night. That, is service at its best. I will definitely recommend Fields Volvo and Adam as a service agent to anyone considering services there.

Had a good experience here buying a used vehicle. Steve Vogel in sales is low pressure, friendly, and knowledge. Not a life long car salesman, this is Steves retirement job because he just likes cars.Unlike another dealer in the area we just dealt with, Fields does what they say theyre going to do. I felt like they were completely honest about what we were buying. All around excellent experience.They also have two lanes of bowling for customers (currently shut down because of COVID) and a nice looking coffee bar area. And supposedly free car washes for customers.

My 05 XC90 had the nightmare of all car problems - an intermittent electrical fault. When in failure mode, I had no HVAC function - a bad thing in Wisconsin winter. Of course, it wouldnt fail in the shop - for nearly two weeks. After that time, service advisor Adam Theisen called me and apologized for the fact they couldnt yet isolate the problem. He gave the car back to me, promising that as soon as the car faulted again, they would get right back on it. All I had to do was drive the car back right away and he would put a technician on it immediately to diagnose the problem.As it turned out, I didnt even get my car out of the parking lot before my HVAC went down again! Adam kept his promise, putting a technician back on the car. This time, the car OBD-II threw out a fault. Adam called me later that day and told me he had upgraded the problem to Volvo for additional advice on how to proceed.To fix the problem involved removing the entire dashboard assembly on my Volvo. Very labor and time intensive {$$$$$$}. Nearly a week later, I got my car back. It worked like new (impressive on a 15-year-old car) and has ever since I got my vehicle back.Meanwhile, they gave me the free use for that entire time (nearly three weeks) of a very nice new Range Rover Evoque. Part of me hated to give it back! But I love my XC90 too much.The repair bill was not cheap, but the discount afforded me by my Volvo High Mileage Club membership eased the pain. In the end, a very stubborn and difficult problem got solved and I could not have asked for better treatment and service from all involved, but especially Adam, who was my main point of contact with the service department.

He explained in detail everything that needed to be done and why it needed to be done. The work that was performed was done perfectly. While I my car was in for service, I had the opportunity to talk to several other people from Fields. They all treated me with professionalism and courtesy. I highly recommend Fields!

Very dishonest people. They sold me an unsafe certified Volvo. Brakes and tires all had to be replaced within 3 days of purchase. No inspection was done on the car by the dealership. They are very untrustworthy. Beware!!!!

I purchased a used Ford Edge in March 2019. I was happy enough with the transaction at the time - staff was friendly and helpful, but as soon as I brought it home I was told by a friend that I would need new tires ASAP. I am disappointed that I was sold a car that has bald tires. I understand that I am responsible as I saw the car and should have checked the tires myself, but unfortunately I’m not knowledgeable about car shopping.Less than 2 weeks driving the car and I will have to get new tires. I feel like I was taken advantage of as a young buyer. In retrospect I should have been able to get a better deal or included new tires in the deal.I would recommend coming here with a tall alpha male (to match their energy) to negotiate. Otherwise, I do like my purchase.

I was unable to do the service visit myself die to scheduling but my husband completed the process for me. He was a service manager decades ago and was very pleased with the service.
The service advisor, Adam was friendly and helpful. The service was finished in a timely manner and the detailing done on my 10 year old car made it look almost new. He even buffed out a paint ding.
The dealership responded quickly to my email questions. Pictures were not on the website yet for a pre-owned car. Jared sent them to me from his cell phone. We let the dealership we would be driving about three hours the next morning to see the vehicle. They proactively held the car for us so it would not possibly be sold while on our way. The buying process was professional with no pressure. Thank you to Jared and Mike for helping us with the vehicle transaction.

Everyone was extremely accommodating, nice, supportive, and knew how to get the right car that I was interested in. They are very good at answering phone calls, e-mails and texts, overall communicating, and finding the right solutions.
Service is fine-once you get it through the door. Good luck trying to get a hold of a live person who n the phone. Called on multiple days at multiple times and never got a hold of anybody. Phone number posted online which was local doesn’t work and the 800 number rings and rings and rings until you get a busy signal and then can never get a hold of anyone. When it actually went to voicemail which was rare, no one ever called me back. Quality front end service creates satisfied customers and repeat business. Look into marketing 101 or hire someone who knows how to answer a phone.

Sarah Delaney, the Service Assistant who helped me, has a LOT of knowledge about automobile issues. I was very impressed. She seems to really understand Volvo very well. She listened, offered reasonable advice and made me feel very confident in the service I received at Fields Volvo. On a separate note, the free ice cream flavors were not as numerous as I remember on previous visits. Im not a huge fan of Blue Moon flavor. If I could make one suggestion to Fields it would be that they should stock Rocky Road flavor ice cream. But really, I have no right to complain----because free ice cream of any kind is always very much appreciated. Thanks for taking such good care of my Volvo C30. I certainly appreciate it.
I came in for an update on my navigation system and decided to also have my Volvo fully detailed. The woman working in the service dept - sorry forgot her name at the moment - was so professional and her followup impeccable. My car looks like brand new again. Excellent service. I couldnt have had a better experience. I worked mostly with Mike Baldwin to buy a used Jeep. First of all, after wed already pretty much agreed on a price, Mike noticed that a sale was coming up in about a week and actually sold me the car at quite a bit less than what I was prepared to pay. He also included some maintenance that needed to be done in the price.When the maintenance was finished, there was a miscommunication between me and the service department about when I was supposed to pick it up. I showed up a day earlier than anyone was expecting me. Mike and another employee (Tom, didnt get his last name) set aside what they were doing and went to work, scurrying to get my car ready in a hurry. I drove it home about 30 minutes later and I am really happy with it.This wasnt a new Land Rover or Jaguar, this was a relatively small deal for them, even though it was a big one for me. And they went out of their way multiple times to give me the best customer service. Cant recommend these guys enough, deal with them if you can.

He also went through every single feature of our car and helped us set up everything we need for daily driving. Sean went through the paperwork we need and explained everything in great details. This is a nice car purchasing experience!
I had my 2012 C70 in for routine maintenance last week. As usual, Mick made sure everything was in tip-top condition before returning it to me, cleaned inside and out. He gave me a recommended return schedule, because my mileage lags behind what is usual for the age of the vehicle. I love this car! and I love how Fields helps me keep it in like new condition.
I always have a great experience and exceptional service at Fields. They are clear and accurate with the explanation of the work that needs to be done and I trust them. I dont have time to wait for the service and they always provide me with a ride home and then come and pick me up when the service is done. They are always very accommodating. I highly recommend them.

The service was great, and I appreciated the shuttle service so I could go work at a nearby coffee shop while they took care of the maintenance. I do wish it was easier to book appointments online, since the online software tends to book completely out for several weeks in advance, when that isnt actually accurate. However, now that I know that I will just call in for service next time.
It was my first time doing a big car purchase. overall everything was okay and good. had the car and there was no caps on the stem valve on tires and bought some for the 3 tires that didnt have it. switched out the 1 that did, when we took cap off the air was coming out like crazy and almost couldnt even put cap back on. i took it to a Toyota dealership and the stem valave had to be replaced and the tmps sensor as well. was shocked that we were driving on tires that if anything the cap fell off, air wouldve come rushing out.
I returned to this dealer for another routine service. I replied to the confirmation asking for a loaner car. I received no response. Arrived at the dealer. Again no one there. No loaner car. Waited 20 min to talk to a service person. I like my Volvo but will start looking for another brand as I can not waste the majority of a day to get my oil changed.
I worked with Bob Larson at Fields Auto in Madison, WI, to purchased my Range Rover Sport. The vehicle I wanted arrived from Florida in approximately 10 days, which happen to be during the holiday season. Bob was easy going and I felt absolutely no pressure which I really appreciated since I always buy my vehicles by myself (without my husband). Amazing! After dealing with Fields Volvo service since they took over for Smart motors, including two Volvo XC70s, I have received the first service in which I could find no reason to complain. Many years of shoddy service combined with many instances in which the Fields staff either broke things on my car or falsified the service reports, they finally managed to do an oil change without any apparent problems. Kudos to the new face of Fields.
Reception is fantastic, but thats where it stops. Numerous issues with non-responsiveness (like having to call every day for 10 days to get an answer on warranty) overcharging, and rude responses (especially service). Even with car care insurance, they claim things arent covered like a lost key. Really?! Keep all your paperwork, question service fees and you might do okay.
