This local business is great! They always have a good selection of local products and are very knowledgeable. Staff is always friendly. Its always super clean, and with Covid I always see someone cleaning something. I always feel safe and comfortable here. Thanks for all the great beverages!

Good place with a focus on craft beers.

I called this place asking if they had any Buffalo Trace bourbons in stock. The employee who answered the phone basically called me a fool for asking that question “this time of year”. The website shows a large bourbon selection and it’s a simple question to answer. As a bourbon enthusiast, I often try shopping at new businesses as the demand is always higher than the supply. There is no need to yell at potential customers looking to make a purchase at your business. Treat people with respect and your business will succeed.

Been going here since it was called Alpine Liquor. Its 12 minutes closer for me to go to Woodmans, but theres considerable reason for me to go out of my way and stop by City View instead. Yes, they may be a little more expensive than the old W, but not by much. Its quality over quantity here: They have hands-down the best selection of craft beer in Madison. Youll find the old stand-bys as well as an unmatched selection of hard to find and unique offerings that you wont find anywhere else. The kind guy that does the ordering and seemingly runs the place has an obvious and vast knowledge of the industry and is always able to give good recommendation if needed. An essential on the far East of Madison.

Awesome beer selection!

Prices are decent, you can still save a couple bucks if not more on most items if you go to woodmans instead. However its in a more convenient location and the beer selection is pretty solid. Though stock being more limited means seasonals may run out sooner.

This is a great store with a great selection. The service is always friendly. They even have powerball tickets and whatnot, I thought that was neat.

The last time I went into make a purchase on 8/21/20 two people entered the store without a mask and not one of the two employees said anything to them. I have visited other establishments that have asked customers to put a mask on they entered without one. This is not acceptable. I want to support our local businesses but also want them support us.

Pound for pound, foot for foot the best beer destination in Madison. Huge selection especially in the context of space. If they dont have the best selection quantity wise (They might) They certainly do quality wise. I regularly see things in this store Ive never heard of before. The whole team here is SCARYILLY well qualified to help you find the right brew big or small, from Belgium to Waunakee. Pay them a visit it you want to up your craft beer game. You will not be dissapointed.
