Called to check in around 1 after dropping car off at 8 am. Was told I wont be finished before the end of the day. Was told they were 2 days behind. Could have let me know the day before so my whole family didnt have to rearrange our schedules to make THIS appointment work out. Told them I NEEDED a car the next day, Was told I cant get a rental and that I could come get my car and reschedule. What is the point of scheduling if you get bumped?After several hours was told they will have it done that day. Yay. So since it was ready AFTER we were expecting, had to take an Uber to pick it up. No compensation for that. After got keys realized they did over $100 of work SPECIFICALLY not requested. AND they did an OIL CHANGE. which I had done the week before when I made this appointment in the 1st place.In the end they did agree to reimburse us for the PARTS ONLY of the services we didnt request, not labor, not oil change voucher for inconveniencing us and wasting our time.Besides my warranty work. I will go elsewhere for basic maintenance
The people are phenomenal and very knowledgeable. Even when things go awry, they are willing to work with you to make sure you get everything you want/need. Special thanks to Josh, our sales advisor, for honestly treating us like people and developing relationships with us. Shaun was very thorough in answering a couple questions I had about my vehicle and keeping me informed about a potential problem during an oil change that would cost ~$20. It ended up not being an issue, and it was great service. He also went over the multi-point inspection with me before sending me on my way. I was out of there in about 35-40 minutes. I plan to go back to this location for future service needs!
I am intending on moving out to Jims Falls, near Madison, later this year. As a perspective NEW RESIDENT, it would BEHOOVE ME to exercise some common sense and, purchase a vehicle that would suit the environment that Im going to live in, in this case, Wisconsin. Can anyone say Lake Effect Snow?????? So, yeah, as a die-hard Chevy NUT, I looked around for the nearest and, BEST dealership out there. THIS WAS THE FIRST ONE THAT MET MY NEEDS!!!

Just purchased a GMC Yukon Denali. Took a while to get the title but Colton kept the car on hold and checked in nearly everyday about it. He never even got annoyed when I called a bunch of times. We had a short window when we picked it up and Colton had all the paperwork ready to go so it’s quick and easy. Highly recommend Bergstrom Chevrolet and even more highly recommend Colton!! He’s amazing!!
As much as I would like to chop it up as a miscommunication, that just isnt the truth. Wes, the service consultant, didnt get approval from my partner or myself before performing a service. I called in because my partner said he called her and she told him to call me. He never did. During our call he stated that he had ordered parts and I stopped him because I hadnt cleared it. I didnt know he had already completed something else he had not received approval on. He only had approval for tires.The rest of the staff that I interacted with were awesome.The cost of the unapproved repair in my opinion was not worth losing a customer.
Easy on line appointment scheduling through the web site. First time at Bergstrom Chevrolet, very clean facility. Brought my truck in for a warranty issue, repaired in one day. Great communication through texting informing me what was wrong and a second text that the truck was ready. Service writer was very outgoing and a pleasure to speak with upon picking up my truck. Will be back for additional service work when it is due.

Bought this sexy truck for fair KBB listing price! They were the only dealership for miles that listed trucks for sale compatible with what KBB pricing said they should be. Brian met us in the lot with keys in hand...no appointment necessary. Purchasing was super FAST, in and out in under an hour. No need to haggle because it wont get you anywhere here but if you do your research you will see pricing is fair.When we got the truck home we noticed a couple dings in the windshield. We called immediately and Brian had the WHOLE WINDSHIELD replaced promptly at NO COST to us.ADDED BONUSES: Free limited warranty AND they fill your new car with a FULL tank of gas! They even remembered our dogs name! We will definitely buy our next car here!

I was charged for a tire rotation. This upsets me for several reasons.Firstly, because I specifically selected ONLY an oil change and NOT a tire rotation or the 7500 mile package when I booked the appointment.Secondly, the tire rotation was not performed (the tire thats leaking is still in the same position).Lastly, even if they had performed the rotation, they probably had all my wheels off to inspect the brakes. Youre charging me for putting my wheels back on in a different position?

Super slow, used to be able to pull up and get quick service in about 30 minutes, then it went to an hour, todays 90 minutes.
I have no issues with the repair service. The accommodations for customers who choose to wait have really degraded. It would be nice to have an actual vending machine available to us. In the “lounge” itself, the carpet is filthy with several large, dark stains. Also, the TV didn’t work.

Jeff Beran was great! He is very knowledgeable, and made sure all my questions, and concerns were taken care of. I had a horrible experience with a previous dealership. I was able to leave out of Bergstrom will a smile on my face.
My advisor Shaun, was wonderful. He was personable, professional, and wonderful to work with.I brought the vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was informed there was a recall on the vehicle that could be cared for while it was in, which I appreciated.However, when I came to pick up the vehicle, my power running boards no longer functioned. They worked when I brought it in, which both Shaun and Im sure your camera footage can attest to, but when I picked it up, they were no longer functional. A tech came and tinkered with it for about 30 minutes while I waited. Eventually, I was told Id need to bring it in for a diagnostic, but that I would need to call to schedule it. I was also told that if it was unrelated to an issue with the recall, that Id be told how much it would cost to repair. That, to me, was a huge red flag. They absolutely worked flawlessly when I brought it, and didnt work at all when I picked it up. That means whatever happened, happened while it was there. Rather than assuring me it would be cared for and getting an appointment setup, I was told to call (which I did, and it comes back in on Tuesday 5/18) and schedule something, and to tell whomever I spoke to what happened. That, to me, is a failure. I hope everything is resolved on Tuesday, but it doesnt make me less leery of brining it to Bergstrom, nor does it account for the inconvenience of having to bring it back in. It was frustrating.

After my oil change I started getting error messages that my my SD card has been removed and I have no access to Apple car play or navigation. Service gives me a busy signal. I can’t reach anyone.As a follow up, I realized the SD card popped put probably while I was putting things away before service. Thank you for the follow up call. Lori is always thorough.
I have been bringing my car in to get serviced at Bergstrom dealers since I bought it 2 years ago and I have never had a bad experience. The Madison location especially has gained my trust by always ensuring I am not paying for a service I dont need. There are plenty of places who would just take your money without a second thought. I value that honesty and when it is time to replace my car without a doubt I will be choosing Bergstrom.

I came to this fine establishment searching for the best fitting used vehicle that drove to my standards. This young man by the name of Colton Walloch, might I say very wise and kind too, had the best knowledge of any car salesmen in the lot, almost what seemed to be a car deity. He knew every nook and cranny of each car and even searched other bergstrom lots comparing prices and vehicle makes. Though it was not a quick quest, but yet a long heart felt search for this missing puzzle piece in my life, going on for a couple weeks now Mr. Walloch endlessly searched and pursued this treasure for me until he had come across the perfect fit. He had shown me my steed, my dark knight I would ride off in. ‘Twas a Jetta of the Wagons, TDI edition and so it had begun, my journey of happiness and it began with this car dealership and a young man with great ambitions. Tania and Adam were impeccable helpers. They helped find the perfect vehicle within my price range with all the features I needed/wanted. They were patient, kind, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. They have been extremely responsive via email after I bought my vehicle as well. Strongly recommend against purchasing a vehicle from the Bergstrom family of dealerships. Rude sales manager when we made a purchase, but we were probably getting a little unpleasant as well at the time because we had to get back home to leave for work, so I was willing to overlook that part. The real reason I am submitting this review is that I was sold a vehicle with four junk tires. The tread wear was good, but all four tires have been filled up with fix-a-flat, patches, plugs, you name it. Naturally, it was undisclosed. When hoping we could come to an agreement regarding these damaged tires, they have zero interest in replacement.So in short, if you like being sold damaged equipment without being notified of it, definitely shop at Bergstrom. I expected better. It was my first purchase from you guys and will also be my last.

In 2014, when I bought my vehicle this place was great. Something seems to have changed in the last few years and Im sorry to say that I am disappointed by this business. I called this morning to reschedule a service appointment as my grandfather passed away and the funeral is scheduled for the date of the funeral. Despite mentioning this to the scheduler the instant response was to try and upsell me some services that I did not have scheduled in the pre-established appointment. No condolences, no empathy just cold hard business.I dont really have another reliable option in the window required to get this service done, but this will be my last interaction with this business.A wise man once said to me sales sells the first vehicle service department sells the second; they were exactly correct in this case.

First off, everyone I talked to was nice. However, I came in to have a squeaking sound fixed, $1,200 later and its still there. Now my chair also makes a high pitched sound when I move it. So I now have two annoying sounds that my car makes...

Pay for my truck I like either Wednesday or Thursday did not receive my truck until the following Wednesday two or three days after they said it would be done but they didnt waste any time cashing my check so I had no truck making payments on a loan and making insurance payments with no truck and did not offer me anything extra for making me wait two days which I thought was unsatisfactory but the truck look great after I got it nicest truck and Southern Wisconsin made it look show quality
Walking into the dealership I didnt feel pressured at all. I was able to connect& communicate with the sales person before going to save time and of course exposure! I was able to pick the car I wanted and not the car they wanted me to have. They did a great job at getting financial things covered. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

Everything is good but pricey for labor work which Gas Cap replace only take 2min. Gas cap cost $40! It cost me $168 total plus labor, seem not right.

First let me say I have never entered this service center and been satisfied. Pulled up for my appointment asked if car wash was working. I was informed that even though the techs and advisor can get in my vehicle to drive the car in and get all information along with checking lights that its too much of a risk to get in my vehicle to wash my car like normal. Working in health care I happen to read a ton of medical journals and every study I have seen does not give a time limit on how quick it takes for the virus to transmit. And I doubt it takes 20 minutes to was one vehicle as was suggested by the advisor.
Everyone I met was very professional and courteous. Great waiting room, clean and spacious.

We had a great experience with Bergstrom. We knew exactly what we wanted for a vehicle, so it was a matter of making sure we had all the right components and truck bed size on our vehicle. We had just a minor hiccup when we came in to finalize our loan paperwork and our sales person had another client dropped on their lap last minute. We had another person step in and help us to finish the paperwork process. I work in business and know that these things happen and it is how you deal with it, making sure you are honest with your clients, and move on from it. The Bergstrom team did a good job and got us all taken care of.
Service technician broke a bolt while removing an under body engine cover. Dealership took no responsibility for technicians mistake and charged me 100% of the repair cost. I expect a dealerships technicians to be professional and experienced enough where this would not have happened. Additionally vehicle was not washed prior to pick up.Update: Multiple Options offered from Bergstrom were a car wash token and a $50 dollar oil change certificate. Lol.

I just got my oil changed there. Will never go back. Half the service staff either didnt wear masks indoors (not just the large bay, small rooms too) or wore them under their nose. Including my service rep Bill, whom I asked to cover his nose if he was going to get into my car. I came back and he left his nose uncovered the entire time he dealt me. So incredibly disrespectful and shows a culture of disregard for customer safety. I need a new set of tires too. I know where I wont be buying them from.

If you are looking for an auto dealer that supports and values the community, please shop elsewhere. (Thats what I did this past January). Berstrom Chevy does the absolute minimum for those who live and work near their dealership. Today is April 17th, 2 days after the latest snowfall, and half of their sidewalk remains unshoveled. Most of the other half is covered in ice, without an ounce of visible salt. The several feet of sidewalk that they did shovel was only done so at the width of the shovel, and is definitely not ADA compliant.I honestly feel like they neglect their sidewalk to make pedestrians feel defeated, in hopes that they will decide they need to buy a car. I dont think theyve taken into consideration car owners who still walk and use public transit.I have spent my winter reporting them to the city, but I am sick of it. They should be able to shovel a sidewalk without intervention from the authorities.
Noticed all the important and professional things were done such as using a torque wrench on the lug nuts to keep the brake rotors from warping. The only bad thing, no coffee because of Covid!

Facility was very clean and the crew made a point to clean and sanitize surfaces they had to touch in the vehicle.
BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE - HANDS DOWN!Originally we were just looking to upgrade my boyfriends truck. I was drawn to Bergstrom Chevrolet because of the upfront/no haggle pricing and they had multiple vehicles that hit most of our desired criteria and were very reasonably priced. I called and got set up with Megan in sales, gave her a list of things we want in a truck and were able to come in the same day to test drive!We fell in love with the first one she had picked out, had all but the one thing we were looking for (spray in bed liner - easy add on), and it was priced under what we were expecting to pay too!The process was so easy and painless, the people were all super friendly and fun to talk to and the location was beautiful and very clean! I was so impressed that while they did the truck paperwork, I started looking at upgrading myself!She ended up finding me a great used Equinox with low miles and all the bells and whistles Ive always wanted in a vehicle (sun roof, remote start, heated seats, etc.), and again, very reasonably priced!I did notice a little bumper damage the day after purchasing, I contacted them Monday and they were quick to seeing what they could do about fixing it!Next time we are itching to upgrade, we will DEFINITELY be heading back to Bergstrom Chevy again - hands down best car buying experience!

Over all experience was great. Everyone wasvery helpful, friendly and on top of making sure I knew what was going on. Also on point with the amount of time it would take to change my oil, great customer service.Only thing I didnt like was when I call to make the appointment I also asked how much this would cost. They told me 45.00$While I knew adding a tire route would be an extra 10.00$ still dont get how it was almost double the price. Being about 72.00$ an extra 10.00$ would have made it 55.00$. The only reason my price went down in cost was because I had a 10.00$ off coupon. I paid 62ish dollars.
I’ve had engine issues from aug 2020 until Dec 2020, brought my car to Zimbrick(sun prairie) numerous times with no resolution. Took my car into Bergstrom and fixed the issue and my car drives like new! I’m so thankful to Bergstrom and their knowledgeable staff!

Only complaint is the lack of having access to a loaner vehicle or rental place. If you dont have a loaner vehicle, then you should work with a car rental place to assist the customers. This would never be an issue at a small town dealership or auto shop
I loved the honesty and upfront pricing. I really believe they are trying to do what is best for both the customer and Bergstroms, which I found very refreshing.
Would give zero stars if I could. Bought a used 2011 Chevy Equinox which turned out to be a lemon. Three months out from purchase and fewer than 3k miles in and the thing has a catastrophic engine failure. Metal shavings in the oil. Needs a complete engine replacement. Bergstroms warranty is only 1 month, 1000 miles, so were told tough luck. Never buying from them again, and certainly wouldnt recommend that anyone else does either.
My wife and I were looking for a vehicle for her mother. We happen to be up in Madison on some different business and decided to stop in at your dealership. The first thing we noticed is we were able to walk around the lot and look at vehicles without being pressured by a sales person within the first 30 seconds of driving in the lot. We then entered The dealership and met your sales associate, Matt. He was very professional and very friendly and immediately I leaned towards buying a vehicle from him especially after my most recent experience at another dealership in my hometown were you could tell that salesman was not interested in my needs but rather just trying to make a big sale for as much as dollars as possible. I also greatly appreciated The no hassle pricing as that made the purchase decision smooth and easy without having to go back-and-forth bartering between a car salesman and his sales manager which gets old in a hurry. As a sales manager of a very large marketing organization it was very easy to see that Matt is a true asset to your organization. I hope someone will let him know how impressed we were with the whole process and Will thank him!

May of 2020 had Bergstrom put on new Pirelli tires on my model S. Come to learn this last week that the 70M mile tires were basically shot with only 8M miles. Both Don and service manager Doug worked with the Pirelli rep to no avail to get Pirelli to stand behind the tires. So with an easy, quick resolve replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. From a customer-retention standpoint, Pirelli just lost a customer...Bergstrom on the other hand has retained a customer! Thanks guys...when is the electric Silverado coming!
Update 24 Aug 2021: Laura in the service department provided the absolute best customer service! We came in for scheduled maintenance check but were very concerned about the recent recall on the Bolt EVs and risk of fire as we live in a condo garage where we charge our car. She brought this to the attention of the mechanic who adjusted the charging capability to 90% until the recall can be fully addressed. This added time to our visit but we were so grateful due to our safety concerns.Our excellent car-buying experience started with Matt. He answered our concerns about pandemic safety and initially met us outside. The no pressure experience will go far to making me a lifelong customer and to sharing that experience with others. Chris was also very helpful in explaining all the tech stuff related to our car. We could not be any happier with the excellent customer service that we received.

I have been to Bergstrom Chevy for a couple years now for my 2014 Chevy Sonic. It has been such a wonderful experience. The mechanic that manages the oil changes is always extremely nice, kind and helpful. Today I had a great experience... I walked in and everyone was super nice, The mechanic behind the desk was polite and helpful and was willing to work with me if the problem I had could not be fixed (it was a really weird problem with the car that was a fault of another place). I was surprised because they were able to give me a ride to my apartment (I heard from my girlfriend that that was normal for a dealership... but still). They gave me a ride right away, and the driver literally parked 10 feet away from me when I was inside on a hot day. I had an amazing talk with the driver (Russ) on my way to my apt. I was also told that they can come pick me up when the car is ready which I think is amazing as well! I have always had a really amazing experience at this dealership. Shout out to: Russ (driver); Chris (mechanic); Lori (oil change mechanic (I dont know her actual job title or her name for sure, but she is the head of the quick oil change service.. I think)).
All of the staff at Bergstrom Chevrolet were very nice. When I arrived, all of the service folks were busy with other customers, so one of the oil/lube workers helped get me registered. I cannot remember her name but she was very kind. I appreciate that she went out of her way to help me. And then I think it was Chris (he had a bum finger with a lot of stitches) who helped explain the problem with my car and what the cost would be. He was very nice, as well. I thought it was great that all the service guys were dressed in business smart clothing. It made me feel that Bergstrom presents a higher level of service, once I figured out they werent just salesmen covering for busy garage workers. :)The garage was so clean, too. The waiting room facilities were great. I didnt mind hanging out there at all while my car was in the shop and actually quite enjoyed it. I will definitely come back for any additional service my car needs.
Got the service done quickly and when they said they would. Had winter tires installed on new rims for my vehicle and they were ale to fit the service in after taking with a service technician when their scheduling system said they were full.
