Great coffee shop we found along our road trip. Needed a place to be on our computers and wanted some delicious breakfast. The California breakfast sandwich was great and the house coffee was smooth.

Salads, wraps, soups coffee and so much more on the menu. Found this lovely passing through and it was better than we expected. The coffee drinks are sweet and frothy. The portion sizes are just right. Everything was fresh, tasty and the appropriate temperature.No contact ordering policy was pretty tight too during these odd times.

Hands down one of the best Lavender Lattes you will find. Coffee is very good too. They serve baked goods and breakfast items as well. Overall, highly recommend, its a quaint shop with lots of places to sit with friends. Even the bathroom gets a high mark - its very nice.

Coffee was amazing! I had a cold brew with almond milk and caramel. It was very well balanced flavor-wise. It was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly.

Found this place while searching for smoothies in the area. Its larger on the inside than it appears from the exterior, and also has a large outdoor patio. Neat little cafe vibe on the interior. My family tried everything from a strawberry-banana protein shake, soy latte, capreese sandwich with chips, and a bacon and egg breakfast bagel - it was all very good! Glad we found this place!

The latte I had was great, and there bakery has a few good choices. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating too.

Great work environment close to the mall. You can sit back and relax in a cozy chair by the fire and let your troubles melt away with a bottomless cup of organic grow coffee. They have a unique offering of breakfast and lunch options.

I had me an expresso protein shake. It was delicious A+. The staff seemed really nice and helpful A. Atmosphere gets an BIG A. Bathroom needs to be taken care of and upgraded but still gets a B+.

First experience was phenomenal! Scrumptious face up omelette and white chocolate raspberry truffle coffee. Due to covid I picked up my food and upon arriving home I spilled my coffee. ☹️When I called in to order another one the employee told me not to worry about a second payment since I spilled my first coffee. Great tasting fresh food topped off with superb customer service is hard to find these days. You definitely have earned my business during the remainder of my Madison stay. I can’t wait to try your lunch items. I will gladly support this business during these difficult times. 🙂

Good cold brewed coffee and even better Americano brew. The atmosphere is great and Ive enjoyed meeting friends there to hang out, and have also had a few business meetings that my associates seemed to enjoy, as well.

One of my favorite local places to find a quiet nook and meet with a friend or go solo and get some work done. Nice fireplace in the winter to stay warm by. Bottomless coffee cups to stay caffeinated. Friendly staff and good food. Skip the franchise locations and support a local business.

Food is decent, baristas are friendly. There arent enough outlets and the seats are extremely outdated. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Seats by the fireplace are hard to come by so grab it if one is open! The quiche and their soups are always a good choice. They also make a mean almond milk latte (throw a shot of hazelnut in there too! Thank me later)

This is such a great place to work. The food and drinks are consistently good, and its a nice, quiet place to get your stuff done. I dont live on that side of town, but I do make the trip when I can.It doesnt feel corporate and Im sure is a very strong local favorite.The fireplace makes the winter months a lot easier, and the combination of the big windows and quiet atmosphere make for a relaxing experience.

I came here to study on a Thursday afternoon. It was a great spot! It was busy but not too loud. There was plenty of space for people to relax. The food I got was delicious too!! The workers were very kind, and I really liked the overall atmosphere. Ill definitely be back!

Cool Beans is my go-to for a long study session. I like the specialty drinks more than those found at other coffee cafes, and they come in really cozy mugs that I can sip at while I work on my studies.

Really cute, nice place. A lot of unique options. I love that they can make lavender lattes and white coffee, since theyre not very common. The fireplace is cozy and the blondie bars are great. The only reason its four stars and not five is because the baristas here are unfriendly/a touch rude. They do make a great coffee, though, so its worth it most of the time.

One of my favorite coffee places in East Madison. Coffee is amazing- I get a variety of lattes. They have soy and almond milk options. Havent eaten a lot of their food but they have a nice outside seating area and a corner full of kid toys. They also have comfy chairs and a fireplace. Staff is friendly.

Met for a business coffee meeting and loved the mango chai latte. Nice chill vibe on a weekday morning.

Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and awesome food. The chocolate/orange sconce was very yummy. The cafe miel hit the spot. The Princeton wrap (turkey, bacon, avocado & lettuce on a spinach tortilla) was sooo good.

First time here today. Not from the area. Walked in, girl looked up from her phone. No acknowledgment. I looked at hanging menu, while she was on her cell. I decided not to even try to order food. I ordered a coffee to go and she said the cost. I paid it and waited for my drink. She set it down on the counter and walked away. I picked it up and left.Coffee was good. Service...not so much.

Reasonable coffee fair with a nice atmosphere. Keep in mind seating will be tricky if coming during a busy time. Limited seats and they allow reservation on their addition seating area. (Its been reserved everytime Ive gone.)

Excellent coffee drinks and a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff was excellent! I tried a homemade oatmeal bar it was to die for. Good tea selection. Roomy seating with available private room. WiFi was open for guests and speedy. This is what a coffee cafe is all about.

Barista definitely knew what he was doing and the coffee was great. The place was busy, but the wait was not long. Despite being busy, it was not crowded as the coffee shop is bigger than expected.Definitely would recommend.

This place is nice! Its very roomy and well laid out. Good food too! Had a jerk wrap and was not disappointed. Coffee is nice and strong too. Definitely recommend if you need a cafe to chill at for a while.

Love this place. My book club meets here regularly and I get way too excited about their dessert case. Great staff, good food and drinks, and a cute little kids area, too.

One of the comfiest coffee shops in Madison. Fireplace, kids play area, a variety of seating areas including large meeting rooms and outdoor seating. Some hand made goods for sale, some bakery and soup/sandwich menu.

Actually good food for a decent price with a delicious espresso shake (its not healthy at all). Nice enclosed outdoor area with a play area for kids and dogs are allowed. :)

Staff did not acknowledge us in any way until we ordered, and were unable to answer basic questions about their products. We ordered a chicken salad sandwich; it was adequate, but Ive had better. It was accompanied by a small bag of off-brand kettle chips and a tiny plastic sample cup full of pasta salad, which was just some tough, flavorless penne noodles sprinkled with oregano. I expect a side dish accompanying a sandwich to be small, but seriously, a sample cup? Maybe it was intended to be decorative. We also had a classic smoothie, which was supposed to be made with real fruit and contain strawberries, banana and orange. It was decent, but so heavy on cheap orange juice that it overpowered the other flavors. Aside from the disappointing food and lack of service, it seemed to be a nice enough space. They had some distinctive furniture and a variety of seating, including both a bar and comfy chairs around a fireplace; a private room in the back available for reservation; and a large outdoor patio featuring a sandbox for the kids. The food seemed over-priced for the quality, but overall the pricing was competitive with other cafes in the area; while I cant recommend it for lunch, the patio might be a good place for parents to meet for coffee while their kids play in the sandbox. Honestly, I cant see any other reason to come here.

My regular local coffee shop. They source their beans through a local roaster, a different one from when I first started going, but still good.Theyve got a decent sized menu, though there arent many vegan options on the food side of things. The soups are clearly marked and occasionally vegan.For drinks, the coffees work for vegans, and lattes can be made with soy milk for a slightly extra cost. Some of the smoothies/shakes work as well, either as they come, or with slight modification.Theres a cozy fireplace thats turned on during the cold months, with plenty of main room seating. Theres also a back room that can be reserved for events, or used the rest of the time as a place with slightly less distraction.Theres a patio surrounded by hedges and hanging lights that works well during the warmer months. Both the patio and interior have spots for kids, and work so that its never a distraction when Im trying to focus.

We had the delicious California breakfast sandwich when we drove through on a road trip. Everything was made fresh and the ingredients were high quality. My husband had the coffee and I had tea and both were excellent!

Comfortable and cozy bistro away from center city. Good food, bevs, and vibes. People write poetry on sticky notes and put them on espresso machine. A real find!

Great food and service with a comfortable setting. The Porta Ham & Swiss is an awesome toasted sandwich! There was a mix up with my drink order that the staff corrected while also uprgading my drink size for free! We were very happy with our first visit and will be coming back. :)

Didnt get what I ordered. Wish I would not dropped a tip in the jar until after I opened it and checked. So irritating you have to dig through food to see if its right. Simple order. Careless. Paid extra didnt get it. Didnt offer a receipt didnt think I needed one but I guess I always have to get a receipt and check all the food in Madison area. First time I was here I got sick from a protein coffee drink. I suspected the employee was angry at me had to wonder If I was poisoned. Second time got ripped off on order. Ug.

Whether Im getting an iced coffee or my favorite Italian soda (Blackberry, please) they always greet me with a smile and friendly 😁! Im at the Tae kwan-do place nextdoor 4 times a week, so its great to have a friendly and delicious coffee place to go to, while I wait for my kids!

Used to love this place but as of lately it’s been horrible. Found some hair in my wrap and the lettuce for my salad was disgusting.I’m disappointed as this used to be my go to place for lunch and coffee.

My coworkers and I have worked from Cool Beans Coffee Cafe a few different times. Each time everyone is so welcoming and the food is always really good!

Its a great Gathering Place for a quick drink.. that may also go well with a gathering for an in-depth meeting with family and friends with the Pleasant environment here.

Staff members on a Tuesday night at 7pm were saying why are nights like this? cant everyone JUST GO HOME loudly behind the counter. It is my understanding that the establishment does not close until 9pm.

I had a Pumpkin spice chai latte (or something like that) and I could not believe how good it was. They also have an excellent assortment of loose leaf teas. I like the mugs here. They have a nice fireplace to curl up next to and have a convo with your friends. Its a great atmosphere.

Toys and play space for small kids. Delicious smoothies. Had a smoothie that tasted like fresh wild blueberries. Also had a peanut butter espresso smoothie that was delicious.

Coffee is ok but place could use a good old fashioned scrub down.

The coffee is good, i dont know if its phenomenal, but certainly better than anything else nearby. The service is good, and they have some nice breakfast sandwiches. People are friendly, and theres a Pokestop.If you want a private meeting space they can sometimes book the back room for you if you call ahead.

I have visited this cafe for years and tend to use it for personal and work meetings. Cozy, quiet and comfortable. Always plenty of parking, different seating options, good food and drink. You can also rent a room in the back for larger groups.
